I tried to synchronize it with iTunes on my iMac but the message says " impossible to synchronize", "Unrecognisable"

Windows Media Player? As far as I know, that won't work. You need to install iTunes

a) computer
b) operating system
c) application (i.e. Logic)
b) sub program's (i.e. plugins)
could all together trigger the cause.
So a lot more info would certainly help us to make some sort of intelligent guess.

What country are you from?
1009 usually means your IP address originates in a country that does not have access to an App store.

As Test Screen Name states - Adobe Reader opens PDF files only.
So - fire up Bing or some other web search engine and look for applications that open / process / work email DAT files.

TS2529 my itunes has wiped all my music and when i add it again it does not save them. i can find them in my windows music file, but can't do anything with them. does someone have a solution

When i went on to download my latest songs everything was missing. so i tried downloading a song, but when i closed down my itunes and turned it back on, it had gone again. does anyone know how to fix this. all my songs are still on my ipod but i want them on my itunes too.

I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

when you connect your ipod to your computer, click on your ipod in itunes and go through all the tabs, making sure that your ipod is set to automaticly sync your playlists.

Cannot sync ipod with itunes after setting up on new computer, only songs which tansferred were songs bought on new computer after set up, tried to sync songs and it deleted old songs from ipod. How can I get them back on ipod?? They are showing in music library on itunes still.

If the iPod database gets corrupted, it will add files to "Other" instead of where they really belong.
Restoring the iPod will erase this database and recreate it.
And if I do this, won't I just have the same issue when my iPod is re-updated to the most recent version again?
No, it shouldn't. This is why you Restore the iPod. It erases the corrupt database.

If your iPhone is recognized by the computer, but not seen by iTunes, you may need to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service, as described in this article -
