I sync d my iphone with another computer by mistake, i sync d my iphone with another computer by mistake

I syn'd my iphone with another computer by mistake and now when i want to sync with the proper computer i keep getting the user id from the other computer

Because you transferred apps from the iTunes library on your friend's computer that were downloaded with your friend's Apple ID, which is in effect stealing in regards to any paid apps that were transferred.
All apps - all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account that was used to download the apps.
You need to delete the apps that were purchased/downloaded with your friend's Apple ID and re-download the apps that were purchased/downloaded with your Apple ID.

My iphone 5 doesn't sync with itunes on my pc. it says this computer has  previously been synced to another io6 device or iphone? please help what to do?

The error message you're seeing is likely the other way around -- i.e. something like "This iPhone has previously been synced with a different computer".   There's no problem syncing multiple iOS devices to the same computer.
However, the reverse is not true for the iPhone --  you cannot connect an iPhone to another computer without it being erased, even if you manually manage music and video.  So, it sounds like you've been syncing your iPhone to a different computer?
Also, 5.1 (not 5.0.1) is the latest iOS.

  • ITunes crashed during transfer purchases now says This computer has previously been synced with an iPhone or another iOS device

The problem that have started when I was going to sync my iPhone 4 with current iTunes running on 64bit Windows 7.
I started iTunes and plugged in my iPhone.
All looked good and the iPhone came up as the device as it should have.
Next I wanted to transfer purchases prior to syncing so I started the Transfer Purchases process.
iTunes stopped working during the Transfer Purchases process
Now when I plug in my iPhone iTunes takes me to the “setup your iPhone” screen and displays “This computer has previously been synced with an iPhone or another iOS device” and only allows me to restore and old backup or setup as new.
Obviously some files were not closed properly when iTunes crashed during the transfer purchases process, how can I cleanup iTunes so that it will allow me to backup and sync my phone.
I am a software developer and am sure that a fix is not in the menu options   What I am saying is that I can easily remove or edit corrupt files to get it working.
    Thanks, Mike

    Hi, EJ13.
I see you are having issues with backing up you iPhone and have tried a couple troubleshooting steps.  There are a couple more steps I could recommend in the article below.

  • How do I transfer music, videos to my iPhone from another computer that is not the one my iPhone syncs with

How do I transfer music, videos to my iPhone from another computer that is not the one my iPhone syncs with.
    Thank You!

Take a look at this -> Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device
Short version: iTunes will transfer the purchases made from the iTunes Store on your iPhoneh to your computer. It treats all other music and video syncing as a one-way street, to comply with copyright laws (wont sync stuff not purchased through iTunes from your iPhone to your computer).

  • This iPhone/iPod is synced with another computer. Erase and sync with computers library?

    Hello Apple Users,
I've hated this problem ever since my mom got an iPod and then the rest of my family started getting Apple products. As of now, I have an iPhone 5C (7.0.4 going to 7.0.6 soon, Green), my Mom: iPhone 5C (7.0.4 soon 7.0.6), my Dad: iPhone 5C (7.0.4 soon 7.0.6). I've had an iPod for about 3 years now and still using it to multitask. I was connected to my parents' Apple ID until I created my own.
Once I created my own, got my own computer and the stuff like that, I decided to sync my iPhone 5C. Yet, when I try I get this:
This only happens with the following when trying to sync:
    •Tones (Any Tone)
    •Music (Any Selection)
    •Movies (Any Selection)
    •TV Shows (Any Selection)
I really need to fix this. It's ridiculous. What should happen is:
Once synced, it creates a folder (Preferably either in Program Files/Program Files (x86), or AppData somewhere) named "Synced iDevices". Click it, it'll have your iDevices Model Number or something, or your iDevice (iPod #G/iPhone #G etc.). And It's basically a "Library" as iTunes calls it. If you delete it, then it's considered "un-synced" and you can re-sync again if you want. This could also be a feature in iTunes.
Feedback is always appreciated! Thanks for reading!
    Regards, OptimalVorteX
P.S.: I won't be on the Forums after this because im going to a hockey game! I'll try to get on my phone if it isn't dead though!

Yeah dude screw apple. I hate apple. All apple wants to do is control the world.
    Im stuck in a loop:
    1. I Click "Back Up Now"
    2. It says, "Authorize or else, 12 apps and their data will be deleted from this iPhone".
    3. I click "Authorize" (keep in mind, It's already authorized)
    4. Then, it makes me authorize my parents Apple ID/Computer (which is also authorized).
    5. I type in the password and click "Authorize".
    6. It says, "5/5 computers are already Authorized with this Apple ID".
Well lets see: We have 3 computers, my brother, my parents, and my own. My brother doesn't even have an Apple ID, iTunes, or any iDevice. So, we're down to 2 computers. My parents have their own Apple ID. I have my own Apple ID. Now remember it made my authorize my parents Apple ID/Computer? Well why? And if the iDevices count, that's 2 iDevices, and a Computer (my parents). That's 3. My Computer = 4 (BUT ITS AUTHORIZED WITH MY DANG APPLE ID). So really, it's actually 3.
Sorry for the horrible description, guys. If you want it more simple, then I can do that. In the meantime, thanks for helping me out, and I'll be writing Apple a 3 star review.
    Regards, Vortex.

  • How do I sync an iPhone with iTunes when it's already sync'd with another?

My old mac died - hard drive went, so I'm starting a fresh now and I've tried to sync my iPhone with the new iTunes but because it is still sync'd to the old one it wants to delete everything off the phone. Is there anyway I can sync without losing everything?
    Thanks,
    Andy

In regards to iTunes content, an iPhone can be synced with an iTunes library on one computer only. When syncing iTunes content with an iTunes library on another computer, all iTunes content on the iPhone that was transferred to the iPhone from another computer will be erased first. The same applies to photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone.
Contact info, calendar events, and bookmarks can be synced with the supported applications on multiple computers.
If you don't have a backup for your old Mac that includes your iTunes library, iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased from the iTunes store from an iPod or iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased from the iTunes store only.
First you need to authorize the Mac you will be syncing your iPhone with - with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so.
With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
If you will be syncing contact info and calendar events with the Address Book and iCal on the Mac you will now be syncing your iPhone with and both applications haven't been used and are void of any data, enter one contact in the Address Book and one calendar events in iCal before syncing this data. Makes these up if needed, which can be deleted later. This will provide a merge prompt when syncing this data, which you want to select.

  • Hard drive crashed on my MacBook pro and had to replace drive and logic board.  When I connect my iPhone and try to sync I get a dialog box stating iPhone is synced with another iTunes library, erase and sync?  How do I sync with iTunes without erasing?

Hard drive crashed and had to replace drive and logic board on my MacBook pro.  After Install tried to sync with my iPhone and a dialog box pops up stating "this iPhone synced with another iTunes library, erase and sync?".  I checked the manually manage music and videos box because I don't want all my wife's pics and music on my iPhone.  How do I Sync without erasing what I have on my iPhone???

    columbus new boy wrote:
    How crap is that?
    It's not crap at all.
It's not that simple. For example, I've 3500 songs on my MacBook but don't want them all on my phone, so I have to manually select each song again???
There has to be a solution.
Why not simply make a playlist with the songs you want on the iPhone?
and maintain a current backup of your computer.

  • My iPhone never had a problem syncing with my iTunes. I check all the songs I want and when I manually connect the phone to the computer via USB, i would select "sync only checked songs and videos". No music will sync now and I've tried everything?

Normally my phone would connect with my computer and replace all the songs on my phone with all the songs available in my library. Now it seems as if the songs on my phone are permanently there, and nothing from my iTunes library will sync. I tried syncing with another library on another computer and nothing would sync onto my iPhone from that one either. I feel like it's a problem with the phone, not the iTunes, but I'm not sure. Ive been trying things for the last 8 hours. Why won't my music sync to my phone??

    1. Open iTunes.
    2. Click the View option in the iTunes menu.
    3. Select the Show Sidebar option.
Connect your phone, select it in the Sidebar...the various tabs will now show as before.

Copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.

  • My work computer runs Outlook 2003, which I know will not work with the iCloud, so I hard sync.  But then the new info on my iPhone does not backup to iCloud.  Is there a solution?

I have a Macbook and iPhone and like to back up to iCloud.  However, my work computer runs Outlook 2003, which I know will not work with the iCloud.  The company has no plans to update anytime soon.  Since the calendar and contact list on my office computer are my primay ones, I hard sync through iTunes.  The problem is that any data synced from Outlook 2003 to the iPhone from iTunes does NOT later backup to iCloud.  Is there a solution?

I have the same problem with Outlook 2003 and Win XP which the multinational organisation I work for standardises on and will probably stay with forever!

  • I cannot get my apps to sync.  This happened with a previous iPhone 3gs.  I think it had something to do with error message 6.  Could there be some settings on my computer that are causing the conflict?  I WANT to use my apps!!

  • How to sync my iphone 4 (which is synced on my laptop currently) with my home computer where I also sync my iPad 2 without losing the data on my iphone 4?

Hi there.  I have an iphone 4, which is currently synced with itunes on my laptop.  I also have an ipad 2 which is currently synced with a more powerful and storage capable home computer.  I would like to know if there is a way to sync my iphone 4 with my home computer, without losing my messages, apps, and other info.  I am using Windows 7 on both machines.  I don't know if there is a way to "merge" both itunes libraries for this?  Any help will be appreciated.

I synchronize my contacts and calendars across multiple computers (and iPhones) via iCloud, but all of the devices end up with the same versions.
I don't want our different mail accounts synchronized between computers, so I don't sync that with iCloud, but you can (I don't recommend it with your work computer).
You should be able to sync the music with iCloud.
Give it a try and see if that works for you.
