I, too, am looking for the same answer. Since I created my first Apple ID when I purchased an Apple G4 computer, my login has always been the first part of my email address. When setting up my iPad for "Find my iGadget", I was required by that login to change my Apple ID to the full email.
Now, any attempt to use iTunes, App Store, or whatever, from my iPad defaults the ID to the old one, with no way I have found to change it.
Since the rest of Apple Corp is just fine with the change, and everything linked to the old one is now linked to the new one, I doubt one is required to use the old one in iTunes for anything. Fact of the matter, the whole issue is that it recognizes that the old ID no longer in existence. There just is no intuitive way to make it all better.

I did all that HT1925 recommended and it was no help. My computer still won't recognize my iPhone. Often trying to start Apple Mobile Device Service fails with an error message that it starts and then stops immediately.

If you asking me, I would suggest to additonally use a second storage service which also allows you to store your pictures over the 30 days period. I personally use Dropbox with automatic upload for that (https://db.tt/cMEgDUFZ), but there are also other storage services like Flickr for example.

Syncing Outlook 2010 contacts in Windows 7 32bit with iphone 4

I have recently upgraded from windows vista to windows 7 32 bit home professional and upgraded from Outlook 2003 to 2010. I also have the latest software on the iphone 4 and in itunes. For some reason I can sync all the itunes data but I can't sync the Outlook Contacts either way. I have tried turning off outlook and re-syncing and that does not work. Help

You can import the contacts from Google to your iPhone by going mail/contacts/calendars and adding the gmail account as a microsoft exchange account instead of the standard gmail setup. Be sure to put m.google.com for the server address and leave domain blank. Once the contacts are on the iPhone, then on to copying them from the iphone to the car's sync my ride system.

How to sync Outlook 2010 Contact Groups to my iPad and iPhone

I am trying to figure out how to sync my Outlook 2010 contact groups to my iPad and iPhone. Also how do you manage the groups once on the device? Seems they can only be selected and not edited. I can get my Good contact group and my Windows Contacts contact group to sync but not my Outlook 2010 groups. Any ideas?

Work Around:
On your mac:
1. Open a new email
2. Insert name of an existing group into one of the "To" fields as usual.
3. Highlight all the resulting names in the "To" entry
     [Highlight first name, and while holding shift, highlight last name and all will highlight[]
4. Copy (Command C) the highlighted emails
5. Paste (Command V) nto a pages document
6. Remove the name and anything else preceeding the first < and also the first < of only the first entry whixh will look like this:
     [email protected]>,
7. Remove the > of the last email which will look like this:
     , Jane Doe <[email protected]
8. Copy the entire altered list from the pages document
9, Go to Contact Book and click + to add a new entry
10.. Name the entry (XXX Group for iPad) or whatever you wish to call it
11. Paste all the copied altered list into any one of the email entry spaces
12. Click on "Done"
13. Create new email On iPad and click on + in any one of the "To" lines and search for "XXX Group for iPad" You cannot just key in XXX Group for iPad!!!!!!!, you must use + contact search.
14. Enter the selected iPad contact group into the "To" line.
15. All the entries will now appear in the "To" line and you are good to go.
Adding or deleting email addresses from the iPad group:
Easiest: Alter the original mac group in the usual way and repeat steps 1-14 above. It seems impossible to edit within the emai line of the iPad contact entry.
Rediculously simple once figured out.
Happy emailling, but please send Bcc so that you don't spread your groups' email addresses all over the internet for spam, viruses, and other unwanted emails. Be considerate and ask your recipients to notifiy you if they wish to be deleted from the lists you compose.

How to sync back my contacts from iPad and iMac to iPhone and MacBook

All my contacts on my macbook and my iPhone got erased but I still have them all of them on my iMac and iPad so I am wondering how to sync them all back to all my devices???

You should be able to copy/move the contacts from your iMac to your MacBook using the migration assistant. It is under Utilities in the Application folder. One they are on both our your computer, just syncing your iPhone and iPad to its respective computer will keep them in sync. I myself also sync my contacts with my Gmail contacts. Doing so will keep your two computer synchronized too.

Ok I think i'm starting to understand the issue a bit more... So you have music on your iPad you want to transfer to iTunes on your computer so that you can put the songs on your phone?
Bear with me as i'm not exactly an official apple rep, i'm just trying to help. But, I have 2 possible solutions that I can think of.
Firstly connect the iPad and go to it on iTunes. In the "summary" tab tick "manually manage music and videos". Then go to the "music" tab and scroll down to "manually added songs" and add all of the songs from your laptop. Then try syncing and it should work fine, after asking if you'd like to transfer the music from your iPad to iTunes (i assume you do). After you have synced, go back to the summary tab and untick the "manually manage music and videos" and it should then sync as normal. Good luck!

How can I sync my iCloud contacts so they show on my iPhone 4s?

I went to bed and my iphone was fine. I woke up and all of my contacts had disappeared!
I checked icloud, and they are showing in icloud.
Is there a way I can sync my icloud contacts with my phone so they show on here? Or do I have to re-enter them all individually?

Try to delete your iCloud account from your device (Settings > iCloud > Delete Account" and then add it back again. This should fix your problem.

Can sync video to ipod, but can't see it play

When I sync a podcast to itunes, it syncs into my ipod, but when I go to the ipod menu to play it, nothing happens. It is a MPEG4 file and you can see the name in the podcast directory, but when you select it, its blank. No video or sound.

I think your keyfigure is a "Reference key figure", It is refering to another key figure. Check the keyfigure infoobject. You can create a new key figure (copy of reference key figure) and use it in DSO.
If it is a characterstic, then check whether "attribute only" flag is checked in the infoobject. Uncheck the flag and then it will come in the transformation.

Transported but unable to see my new changes

HI All,
I have an abap program that i added 2 new fields to the seleciton screen. I transported from DEV to QAS and it is fine.
However the transport from QAS to PRD went thru with RC =0 BUT i cannot see the 2 new fields in the selection screen.
When i try to debug the codes for my change, somehow the program does not stop there.
Would anyone know what is wrong ?

Hi Derek,
I like to give your suggestion a try. I added the line in.
There are other lines with Program ID: LIMU, Ob Type: REPS.....and the Lock/IMport Status is 'Object Locked'.
Did you have this Lock status before ?
NOTE: I just found out that other program also has 'Object Locked' status. So this should be fine.
I would transport tonight and let you know tomorrow the result.

hola...I am sooo fustrated because i have been able to see my iphone or ipod on my computer either in MY COMPUTER or ITUNES...i have followed the directions to properly uninstall, reinstall itunes over 10 times...this all happened when my computer hard drive crashed and i had to get a new one installed. apfter that, it has NOT wanted to see my apple products...i tunes loads fine but they do not see my product AT ALL. i can not update my ipod or iphone. i am beyond fustrated trying to get this done. i have googled, and searched all over...read numorous articles on what to do and can not understand how this could be! also i have noticed that even though it says that APPLE MOBILE DEVICE is loaded, i do not see it in the 'MANAGED' area under the USB area at all, even 'hidden' it i not there....i just done' know what to do...ANY ADVICE i would GREATLY appreciated it!!! thanks so much!

Could be your security software preventing the devices from being recognized in iTunes. Try disabling a/v software and turn off the Firewall.
Disable antivirus software
Turn Windows Firewall on or off

Treo 680 won't sync calendar and contacts but everything else OK

I bought a Treo 680 off of Ebay. It is unlocked. ATT phone but I use T-Mobile. PHone works just fine but I can't use the Palm organizer for calendar or contacts. I have hard reset several times. WHen I do everything works except the contacts and calendar. When I push those buttons or try to open those apps the Treo immediately resets and never opens up the app.
OS of Mac? 10.5.6

Version of Palm Desktop 4.2.1, Hot SYnc 5.4.0

Is this a software problem? DO I not have the right software in the computer? DOes Treo not work with Mac OS 10.5?
Also how is it possible to sync with Entourage? I use that for email and see that others sync it to their phone to read emails.

I followed your advice on another post. Took out the battery and pressed teh red power button until the black line went all the way through to end and pressed the English language button.
I think I solved teh problem though it is not elegant. I created a new user name and everything little that it was in the new calendar and on the Palm synched perfectly. Then I copied my old user data, replaced it in the new user id folder. Some stuff came through, some did not. WHat I have found is in the contacts, if I just click on the contact and put it in a category it syncs next time with the Palm. WIth the calendar in the conduit settings I told it to go from Mac to Handheld and everything came through.
If you have any other advise I would appreciate it. Especially how to sync with Entourage since I now use that as my email program.
