I Sync problems I synchronized.

I did the Synchronize, and my web page still will not pull up.. What in the heck am I doing wrong? Should I update my os 10.4.10?

iSync is used to synchronize contact data in the Address Book and event and task data in iCal with mobile handsets, or supported Palm OS handheld organizers and smartphones.
.Mac Sync is responsible for synchronizing those data types, as well as keychains, mailbox structures—but, not mailbox content—and mail rules, signatures and smart mailboxes with .Mac and through it, to other Macintosh desktop and portable computers.
What 'web page' are you talking about here?

Hot Sync problems with Windows Vista using a Tungsten E2

Need Help solving a hot sync problem. Have a Tungsten E2, about a year old. Use Windows Vista OS. Can not sync to desktop. It worked fine for awhile then stopped sync'ing. Have reinstalled Palm Software, Have downloaded Palm 6.2. Have deleted all 3rd party apps,,,and their back up files. Particulary,,,,Epocrates apps, Took over my PDA. Installations and updates gets to synchronizing Calender and 'freezes' have left it on overnight figurng lots of data,,,,no progress. I need help. I really enjoy using this equipment. I use my PDA for all my scheduling of work shifts appts etc. I would appreciate some suggestions. Thanks in advance. Mike.

Hi.. Welcome to the Palm forums. So if I am understanding you when you try to sync it goes to calendar and freezes and never completes the sync. That being the case the first thing you want to do is go to the conduits and turn off calendar then sync and all should be successful, except calendar will not sync. What this indicates is that you have corrupted data in your calendar, most likely on the E2. Do a google search on your computer for a utility 'dbfixit' and download it to your computer. Extract it so you have the dbfixit.prc file and double click on it to put it in the installer. Then, insuring the calendar conduit is off, sync to install it. Once installed run dbfixit. This utility is free or can be purchased for (I believe) 12.95. The free version will search for corruption and problems let you know where they are and you will have to manually fix or delete them. If you register it, when you run the utility it will find the errors and fix them as well. Once all errors are fixed, turn the calendar conduit back on and you should be able to sync.

Palm T|X sync problems w/ Calendar 10.1.2 for Mac OS

I have a new Palm T|X and running into sync problems with my Intel Mac. My IT people in my office can get oracle to sync from the "Macintosh to the handheld," but not sync, which makes my new palm nothing more than a fancy paper calendar (that my staff can't update/sync).
I am ready to return this palm, to essentially revert to an older version of a PDA, which I obviously don't want to do. Does anyone know when new oracle calendar conduits that support the palm T|X for MacOS will come out or what other measures I can take to make it sync properly? I'd like to decide whether I should return my new Palm, hold it for a future upgrade, or just go back to my paper calendar!

you need Oracle Calendar Sync version 9.0.4.2.11, which Oracle still has not put out on its download site, even though they will make it available on request.
I have numerous Palm units (mostly Treo 650s and T|Xs) synchronizing with a variety of Mac units (PPC and Intel) using 9.0.4.2.11 with no problems.

well, can you connect to the NWA from the Toughbook? It could be that you have some settings on the Toughbook that avoid this.
First test: Connect via Ethernet in the internal Network. Then try to sync - is this working? Is the setting correct?
If this is ok, then check via GPRS - first to call the Webservers J2EE Main page, then the NWA and finally try to sync.
The problem: it has nothing to do with the Hardware as such I think - even a Toughbook is a normal Laptop. The problem seems to be in the Landscape. Your URL setting is not correct or there is a Firewall in between blocking the access to the Server - or you have not setup the Toughbook to alllow TCP/IP calls at all.
So this is the area you need to look at.
Hope this helps to give you a hint where to look at to solve the issue!

Premiere CS4 - Audio sync problems, Encoding Problems

I've been using Premiere CS3 for encoding 20-25 minute videos to deploy on a Flash Media Streaming server.
Today I upgraded to CS4 and everything that I render to FLV/FV4, H264 or Quicktime format has serious audio sync problems when I use AAC as the audio codec. Unfortunately for me, AAC is the codec that I need to use for the streaming server. The audio is synchronized to begin with, but it gets progressively unsynched as the video progresses.
Has anyone else had this problem? I'm using bitrates of 256 kbps, 512kbps for the video and 24 kbps / 32 kbps for the audio.
Another thing that I've noticed is that many of the options that I used when encoding videos are no longer available!! For instance, I cannot generate hinting tracks for Quicktime, and most of the audio frequencies are gone for Quicktime as well.
What a disappointment:(

Seems to be an on going issue with no response from Adobe. Have the same issue with the audio running ahead of the video. (Cool if this was an old Japanese monster video).
Running CS4 PP & AME all updates are current. Nvida Quardro CX (current drivers 4.20.006) used several formats (Elemental h.264 to MPEG-2) same issue.
PC Intel Xeon CPU 3.20GHz 16GB RAM – Prof Win XP x64 Ser Pack 2

BB 8830 WE syncing problem

I am having a problem with my BB 8830 World edition. Recently I have started having a problem with synchronizing. Everytime it starts to synchronize, it stops at the same item in Calendar and gives me this message:
BlackBerry Desktop Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Any ideas on how to get rid of this problem and resume syncing would be appreciated.

It sounds like there is a corrupt calendar item causing this. Perhaps Advanced Logging will help you identify the culprit record:

Touch sync problem (App) .. Unknown error (-53)

Hello,
Yesterday I bought ArminOnly app from appstore. The problem is that iTunes won't synchronize it to my iPod Touch. The app takes 1,1gb and I have free space 2,29gb.
Details:
iPod Touch 16gb 2nd Gen (os. 3.1.2)
iTunes 9.0.2
Windows 7 64 bit
There has been no problems with synchronizing music, videos or other apps. So I'm guessing it has got to do something with the latest iTunes patch.
iTunes simply says: "iPod "name" cannot be synchronize. Unknown error (-53)"
Any suggestions what to do? I've turned off genius, anti vir, everything you can possibly to imagine. I really don't want to return factory settings but if it's the only way so be it.. But then it would be nice to know for certain that it will help.

I'm experiencing the same issue but I have 7 of 16 gig free and haven't added any new apps or music. I've tried to restore the iPod but since it can't sync, that isn't working. I haven't had any luck finding any details about "Unknown error -53" until I found it here. Any ideas?

Please, please help me with my E2 sync problems

I'm at my wits end. For some reason, both of my E2's started having sync problems. I've used Palms for years and loved them. I'm one step from throwing both in the trash and never buying another Palm product. Quick background- I've reloaded the palm desktop software with 6.2 and with 4.2.1 and about the best I've done is to get one synch before it refuses to go further. Here lately I can't even get that. I borrowed an old Palm software CD hoping that would help- I couldn't even import my files. Also- I went back to import my backups, and only one contact showed up. I bought DBfixit, and it showed over 10 thousand errors. That's right, 10 thousand. The last time I ran it I got 6000 errors. I was going to simply convert the Palm backup files to Outlook, but from what I understand I have to get them in the Palm desktop program before I can do that. I can't import anything now. I would really like to continue my love affair with Palm products, but this thing is getting really ugly. I wish I knew how many hours I've wasted in the past month trying to get this resolved. I know one or more of you guys have had this problem, and I beg for your help. Literally. Thanks, John

First off- thanks for trying to help. If memory serves, I started having sync problems over a year ago. I have 2- E2's, one for work, one for personal use. I would sync each Palm to a separate computer. I had my work computer serviced, and they erased the program, so I had to reload the program from Palm. I think I just went with the 6.2 because "newer is better". I immediately started having major problems syncing my work Palm, so I created a separate user name on my home computer to see if I would have better luck with it. I didn't. During this time, I could still sync my personal Palm, but that continued to fade as well. I noticed some Palm files would remain in my computer if I used the "remove program" function, so I went in and manually deleted any other files (except for backup). I've tried reloading the program on my work computer, and basically if I try to sync it with my work Palm, it will get stuck on "Synchronizing Date Book 2 of 12 completed". One other thing I noticed some months back- even when my personal Palm would sync, the phase of the sync on the handheld didn't agree with what was shown on the screen. I bought DBFixit and the first time it ran there was over 10000 errors, and the last time it had over 6000, so apparently things must really be goofed up.
New development: I just tried to sync my work Palm and got a new Fatal Alert error message on the handheld: AddrBDIndex.c,Line:201,Invalid birthday index count=147" whatever that means. When clicking the reset button, nothing responds. The handheld does a soft restart on its own after that.
So, that's about it. I just ran DBFixit on my personal Palm to see what's new in the world of errors. It shows "6702 Errors Found and NONE corrected". If I click okay, then the errors are "fixed" and show 0 errors on the top screen. If I run the program again immediately, it shows 6702 errors, so apparently it's not doing any good. The people at DBFixit seem to be just as puzzled as me. I've had good success with Palm up until a year ago when this mess started. Even if I could get my handheld records to import into the desktop and save them as Outlook files I could see some light, but that apparently isn't going to happen.
This is about all I can recall.

Problems with synchronizing

I am fairly new to using Dreamweaver CS5, but suddenly am having problems with synchronizing my projects. It was working fine until a few days ago, but I'll just list the steps of what happens now to try to make it clear.
I refresh and click the sync button.
I choose 'selected local files only' and 'put newer files to remote,' then 'preview.
Then, Dreamweaver says it's connecting to my server, retreiving folder information, then complete.
After that, it says that it's putting file temp2342.htm on my server.
Then it says no synchronization is necessary...even though I do have newer files which haven't been put on my server.
I've tried 'putting' individual files on the server, but it says 'file activity incomplete. 1 or more files not completed.'
Up until a few days ago, the synchronization would work just fine and put the newer files on my server. I'm not sure what kind of setting I might have changed between now and then, but any ideas on how to fix this problem would be much appreciated!

IMAP sync problems

I have IMAP set up through Mail and nothing syncs correctly. When I delete messages, they reappear. I have duplicate emails (some of them are duplicated over 50 times) and I do not know what is happening. I deleted all of my Rules, I've "rebuilt" the mailboxes, etc.... I'm lost. Someone please help!

I'm also having what appears to be sync problems. I have all mail stored on a server and my Mail is configured to access the server and store local copies of all mail, including attachments. For me the problem is that not every subfolder is replicated correctly. What's missing is the messages, not any subfolders (if there should be any). I can drag a new message from the Inbox to a subfolder, and if I go to that subfolder the message isn't there! If I then use a web mail interface to the server I can se the message in the folder. This is frustrating! Just "synchronizing" my account doesn't help. If I delete a folder (locally on my Mac) where I can see this problem and then restarts the Mail app, the deleted folder is recreated on disc but still without messages in it.
Since my mail account has about 3,5 GB of mail in it I'm not too keen on thrashing the whole lot on my local disc, since it will take some time to rebuild and it'll also load down the imap server. I'll do it if the probability that it'll help is high and for well known reason(s).

Nokia 6230 Contacts Sync Problem with Outlook

I have a Nokia 6230 and used to sync my contacts with outlook using PCSYNC. Now I receive a message that sync is completed but only 1 or 2 contacts are copied to the outlook (always the same ones). I have already updated the PC Synch version many times, tried to change configurations on PC Sync and on the phone, created new folders on outlook and sync profiles, cleaned the configuration files on "documents and settings" folder, contacted Nokia phone suport in Brazil, but nothing worked.
I use Windows 2000 SP4 in English, connect through Infrared and have the 6.81.13.0 version of PC Sync (I have already tried many other versions). I'm using Phone memory. When I use PC Sync explorer those same few contacts that are synchronized are the only ones that I can see in the contacts folder.
I think the problem is in some configuration file in Windows environment or I have a problem with the phone set.
Please if anyone could help me I would apreciate. I have lost many hours trying to fix that problem.

Today I searched through the discussions and found many other users with the same problem (Himalaya2050, Marbru, tugrulislier). Almost everybody using Nokia6230 and using international character set, maybe the root cause for the sync problem.
I think Nokia should have a tested fix for that problem.
Was the phone update the solution for other users? Do you have any feedback? I haven't found in the discussions any user with that problem solved.
When I first contact Nokia support in Brazil they told me to do many time consuming procedures (reinstall and update PC sw many times) that didn't worked and didn't make sense for me, as the sync was working with previous version. So I don't want to try another non tested solution, because I will have to go to a tech assistance, wait and probably loose all the information stored on the phone.
I think I will have to exchange my phone ...

I too have the same problem with synchronizing bookmarks with maps and Maps 3.04
I thought it was due to my connection (only wi-fi), but I see that is a problem common to many sheep and on maps.

File>Devices>Transfer Purchases will transfer the itunes purchases to your ocmputer.
You should sync your ipod to your computer regularly.

'Source play' and 'audio-video sync' problems with PE8 on fast WIN7 64 bit computer

I am transferring Hi8 videos, about 2 hours long, to my WIN7 64 bit computer with PE8. [Dell Mobile Precision M4400 Computer Workstation (Intel Core 2 Duo T9900 500GB/4GB); NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M, 512MB] I seem to have several problems:
First, after importing the file (.avi), I get a message about ‘dropped frames.’
Secondly, when I try to play the video in the source monitor, the audio plays but the video doesn’t; it only shows the first frame [this is after waiting until the video is ?recognized? ] I can use the shift-arrow key and see that the video is there.
Thirdly, I can play the .avi file in other players, e.g., avidemux or PE pro CS5 on another computer. There, I see that the audio and video are not in sync; the audio can be up to 300 ms ahead of the video (as determined using avidemux).
Questions:
1. Why doesn’t the source monitor play the video? Is this a problem with PE8 (latest update as of 3 March 2011) on aWIN7 64 bit computer (intel duo core. 3 GHz).
2. Is the audio-video sync problem the result of the ‘dropped frames?’ How can PE8 correct this? Avoid this? Or, is it coincidence?

"Go to the File menu and select Properties. It should show a standard DV codec being used for your video and audio."
WMP v12 is dumb. Under properties, media, it says 'video.' However, avidemux gave me the information state above: video -- Codec 4CC: dvsd, frame rate: 29.971 fps; audio -- codec: PCM, channels: Stereo, frequency: 48 kHz.
So, back to the Questions:
