(when monitor goes off) press by 10 seconds the ON/OFF + HOME (10 sec)
Then ONLY HOME BUTTON (10 sec).

Check in Settings > Privacy > Location Services to see which apps are using Location Services. Turn off those you don't want or need.
Also be sure to close apps you are not using by double=tapping the Home button and swiping apps up.

The lock screen button is broken. My phone won't turn off

Had my IPhone 5 since Christmas. For awhile now the lock screen button on top seems to be failing. Now I can't get the phone to turn off at all. I hold the button and nothing happens. If I squeeze the top and bottom of the phone together sometimes I can get the phone to lock but its not consistant. Anyone else having this problem? the security code error is actually generic and just means the card is being rejected, double check your billing info to make sure it matches the card exactly or contact the card issuer to make sure they arent blocking it because of a fraud filter or something similar

I recently received an ipad2 and when I tried to sync using separate apple and iTunes passwords, under her computer user name, it appears I over-road her account and synced all her apps with my apps on my iPad. I then set myself up as a new user on our computer and tried to sync. I now get the error that my iPad is synced to another library. How can I start over without erasing all my data on the iPad?

Go back to her login. Unless you deliberately erased apps, they should all be there, both yours and hers! Then, you need to set up each iPad separately. You will notice that they have separate names for that very purpose.
There is no problem with multiple Apple IDs on the same iTunes on the same computer except... Apps are permanently associated with the ID that was originally used to obtain them. If you choose to update an app from inside iTunes and you're logged into the "wrong" ID, you must log out and back in again.
On the bright side, you can configure either or both iPads to sync with apps and music and movies, etc. from either or both IDs. Further, if you choose to update the apps from the iPads themselves, there is no need to log out/in. The device handles that. All you need is the correct password. In my case, I use the same password for both IDs to make things easier.

My phone is doing the same thing. My computer acknowledges that I have connected my iPhone 4, however, iTunes will no longer connect or sync to my iPhone 4. I have uninstalled iTunes, Bonjour and all Apple products from my pc. I have re-installed them back on. I have reset my phone. I have emptied my temp folder. I have done everything. If my iPhone cannot update and sync with iTunes then I may as well get another phone from somewhere else. I am disappointed that I cannot resolve this issue.

My iPhone started acting odd after my husband updated it to iOS5. It started with when I touch the apps, it responded with delay. Today, when I want to check my email. I tried to update the software for my iPhone 4S, 16 GB to the most recent version (8.1?). I don't know what I was updating from, because I can't access that, but it was whatever was installed on it (I got it about a year ago, so probably 6.something).
It froze, and now won't turn off, or on, or sync with my macbook plus, which is what I have always sync'd it to. (I backed it up and sync'd it right before I tried to update the software.)
Since it originally froze almost 3 hours ago, it shows a white screen with the apple on it and a line underneath. When I try to sync with my laptop, it says it needs me to enter a passcode on the phone, which I can't enter because the screen is frozen. So I'm unable to access the iPhone portion of iTunes.
I have tried to turn it off, with no luck. I have tried rebooting my laptop and syncing, but I still get the same result.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
I really wanted to wait to update the software, but I was having internet connectivity issues for the past 3 weeks, and Sprint suggested updating the phone's software.

Hi, this is a common problem, mostly just irksome though.
It can have many cause, like using more than one Interface for connections, Router temporarily losing x.local & seeing a new connection with x.local already used, insists it must be x-1.local, x-2.local, etc..
What all Sharing do you have enabled?
