I synced my iphone 3gs for the first time and I lost all my music that was on my phone. Where is everything?
I synced my iphone 3gs for the first time and when it said it was complete my music was no longer on my phone, but it was not in itunes either. Where has this music I purchsed went?
When you saw this dialog box, did you choose "Erase and Sync"?
If you did, your iPhone was erased, then your iTunes Library was transferred to it. If your iTunes Library was empty, your iPhone will be also.
Your previously purchased music, apps, books, and videos are still yours. You just have to download them again.

In syncing my Iphone 5 for the first time, Facetime disappeared. Although it shows up under apps in the settings menu, the application itself does not seem to be there. What happened? How can I fix this?
There has never been a facetime app on the iphone.
As the manual says, you access from contacts. Pick a contact and scroll down to the facetime button -
So I plugged in my iPhone 5 to my computer for the first time and I accedentally pressed restore. My wife has a iPhone 4s and has plugged in her phone to the computer many times to sync. So when i restored i got all her photos and lost mine which were very very importent. So how do I get my photos back?
Unless your photos were backed up somewhere, they're gone. They were wiped off your phone when you restored it from your wife's data.

I have archived my contacts on my computer and can reinstall only those, but I can't figure out how to wipe all of his contacts off my iphone.
You don't.
You synced your iPhone with iTunes for the first time after how long?
And this didn't happen by syncing only. This means you transferred the backup for another iPhone or you restored the iPhone with iTunes. It is not possible for everything to be lost by syncing alone. All iTunes content on your iPhone can be lost but not any photos in the Camera Roll and the same for contacts unless you synced contacts with an empty address book application on your computer. -
What should I do? Or should I leave it?
Internal damage from fall or loose connector. Take it to
Apple to be checked. -

I have updated my iPhone 4 for the first time in about a year. I had synced it so my photos should be safe but it's now telling me I have to restore. I'm worried I will lose my messages and whatsapp videos as I have a pc so these aren't saved elsewhere
Restore from backup and everything will be exactly as it was when the backup was created.
Restore as new and the device will be as if it just came out of the box. -
Lost photos after syncing iphone 4 for the first time
I just connected my iphone4 to my pc for the first time and now my pictures are all gone (on both computer and phone). Any way to get them back?
Sounds like you performed a sync to an empty Outlook, correct? You never want to sync to an empty application. Doing so will erase the data on your phone. Before you do anything else, put one unique contact, calendar & note entry in Outlook.
As to restoring your lost data, the key question is have you performed a sync since the sync that erased your data? If not, restoring from backup will restore the data. If you have synced since that initial sync, your data is gone. So, if you have not synced, do this: First disable auto-sync in iTunes>Preferences>Devices(under the edit menu if using Windows). Connect your phone, right-click in the device pane & select "Reset Warnings". Right-click again and select "Restore from Backup". If prompted to create another backup, decline. When the restore completes, you must then sync to restore your iTunes content. You'll get a popup regarding your contacts, etc., asking to "Merge" or "Replace". Select "Merge". -
i plugged my iphone 4S into my computer for the first time and then my photos were replaced with the ones from my old iphone, how do i get them back?
Try restoring from the backup created at the beginning of the sync process:
Without connecting your phone, open iTunes, go to Preferences, on the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically"
Connect your phone, right-click on the name of your phone when it appears on the left sidebar in iTunes
Select Restore from backup, choosing your most recent backup to restore from
Disconnect your phone and confirm that your photos are back
Go back to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and re-enable automatic syncing. -

"water spots" in large areas of a single color
When a large area of sky is in a photograph, I see what appear to be waterspots in the area, but the glass is clean. Is this a sensor problem? It happened with my previous Canon DSLR as well. I use the 100-400L lens on a 60D. Thanks.
