I synced my iphone 4 with my computed and the erase pictures after sync box was checked and i did not realize it, is there a way to get the photos back into camera roll?
i got a new computer and synced my iphone with it for the first time, i didnt realize the box for erase photos after synce was checked and my photos got erased off my iphone. i got the photos onto my iphone again by going into itunes clicked on the button to go into sync settings for the iphone on the top bar from there i clicked photos and picked the folder with the photos i just synced. i was hoping there was a way to move my photos back into caemra roll. right now i have 4 albums. camera roll, photo library, an album i titled, the album of photos synced with onto my phone that had the pictures that got deleted. the photo library and the photos synced albulm have the same thing in them

The option to send reset info will only appear if you already have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account - if it doesn't show then I assume that you don't have a rescue email address (and you won't be able to add until you can answer 2 of your questions), in which case see if the instructions on this user tip helps : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551

If ou have been importing them to your computer regularly as the iphone is desgned then they will be on your computer.
You may be able to restore from backup if they were there when you last synced. -
I installed IOUSB family log release osx 10.5.6 on my mac osx 10.5.8. I am trying to log an rfid reader on the usb. Sadly on restart the usb is no longer working. Happily Windows is still running OK. Is there a way to get my usb back working? And is there a way to navigate in Windows to the file I installed and remove it? Any help appreciated.

Missing contacts:
Here's a test to perform - using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and go to the Contacts page. If they are gone, then they are gone (is someone else using the same account as you, like a spouse or child?).
If they show up, then the problem is that your device is not connecting to the Contacts database on icloud.
On the device, go to Settings>icloud. Be sure icloud is on and using the right ID. If not, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete Account - this just disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost. Then log back in using the correct ID. ALSO - be sure the Contacts are turned on (on the same screen).
Note: Contacts are not part of an iCloud backup, since they are part of contacts database on iCloud's servers. So performing a restore will not help.

Then they have been deleted. There are many reasons for this. One possibility is that someone else is using the same iCloud account (family member, etc.) and they deleted contacts, thinking they did want them on THEIR device. How to get them back? Unfortunately, an iCloud backup does not include any of the sync databases, like contacts, notes, calendars, reminders, etc. because the data is already stored in these databases. Your only hope for restoring the data is if you had that data on a computer (like a mac's Contacts, Calendars, etc.) and that data was backed up using whatever backup software you typically use (e.g. Time Machine on a mac). Just restore the data files back to the computer. Other than that, I'm afraid the data is gone. -
Copy photos back into camera roll in order

I copied a bunch of photos off from 2011 into iPhoto and deleted them from my phone, however I would like to put them back in but i'd like them to go in the camera roll back at the top so they are the first photos I took rather than the bottom. I tried copying them to the DCIM folder but cannot write to that folder which is annoying!
Does anyone know how to do this?
ThanksIt has taken me four days trying to move photos back to my iPhone as well. I still haven't found a way. I know that the camera roll is a temporary storage tank. However, I use mostly my iPhone for editing and manipulating photos before I move them to iPhoto, sort them in folders and then sync them back.
My phone got stolen last week and the only thing I wasn't syncing to the iCloud were my photos as there were 7,800 of them. I have tried drop2roll and other apps that have been suggested by various users. Syncing folders via iTunes to the iPhone makes them read-only and does not allow deletion of photos. I really MUST have the original geo-location and date intact as I use the photos to upload to various apps and journals which require this information for appropriate entry creation.
Is there any way to do this guys or do I simply have to make the decision to sit down on my iMac, sort all these photos there first and then sync them back to my iPhone? Really frustrated here and tired of trying so many different things that haven't worked yet. -

Thanks to a wonderful geeksquad agent all my songs have been deleted from my ipod. They had to restore my computer so the ones I downloaded are no longer on my harddrive or in itunes. Is there a way to get the songs back after you do a sync and erase?
If they are on the iPod there are third-party programs that will transfer then to a computer. See:

I cannot sync my iphone with my computer. The laptop wont even recognise the iphone on itunes. I have had the phone for almost over2 years now. Its a 3GS iPhone. How do I fix this?? I have tried hooking up the iphone to various computers and they also do not catch the iphone on itunes on those computers. What should I do???
If you are using a Windows based computer, try disabling a/v software and turning off the Firewall.
Disable antivirus software
Turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off
Then try syncing you iPhone. -
Hi, I have just tried to sync my iphone with my computer. I must have clicked the wrong thing, now all the songs i purchased through my phone from itunes were replaced with the itunes that was on my computer, which is nothing. Any ideas on how can i get them back onto my phone or computer? I can see them in the itunes store under purchases, but there are no options for me to download them again.

I have just purchased a new macbook and need to sync my iphone with itunes, i understand that you can only sync your phone with one itunes account. I do not want to wipe my iphone when syncing with this new itunes account. Any advice welcome
1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it. -
