I think I accidentally deleted folder that synced photos with iPhone & iPad

I was trying to clean up my Pictures folder on my PC, but I think I inadvertanly deleted the file that synced that folder with my both my iPad and iPhone photos. The pictures and videos I take on them no longer show up in my Pictures folder on my PC. Any suggestions? I have the iPad 3gen, iOS 5.1.1 and 3G iPhone, 16GB and all are using the current versions of iTunes.

I looked at that, but the only files that were different were the dated folders that normally show up when syncing either the iPad or iPhone with my PC. All I thought I did was move those pictures into the sub-folders that I have within the Pictures folder, and then delete the dated folder. I do see one that is not on my PC file and that is the
ZbThumbnail.info. Is that the problem?

When you password-protected these folders then you did so to prevent anyone from accessing the pictures unless he had the correct password, even if he deleted the password application itself. Are you now asking how to get around this protection? If you
selected a robust protection scheme then you probably got what you wanted: uncrackable encryption. You need to check the FAQs of this application and/or google for clues. Alternatively you could restore your files from your external backup medium (if you have
one . . .).

Sync issues with iPhone & iPad

I couldn't find the answer to this in any other post.
I have been having problems with icloud syncing my computer, iPhone, and iPad. I am really only noticing issues in the calendar and reminders.
I have narrowed it down to the fact that the Mac will upload events and reminders to my devices, but anything I put on my devices does not get synced anywhere else. This is a problem since I enter most of my info on my iPhone and iPad.
I tried turning the calendars on and off on every device. I tried resetting sync services. I saw the post about deleting the calendar prefereces and plist, but I don't have those on my computer.
Nothing has worked! Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

Check to see if calendar events entered on your iPhone and iPad appear on your calendar on icloud.com. If they don't,
go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar and be sure you have selected an iCloud calendar as your default and not something else like On My iPhone, a Google calendar, etc. If you haven't, make this change, then add a new event and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com now.
If your settings are correct and new events still aren't appearing on icloud.com, add any missing calendar events from your phone to your calendar on icloud.com. Once the calendar on icloud.com is up to date, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted, then after a minute or so, turn Calendars back to On. Then add a new event on your phone and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com now.
For reminders, open the reminders app and tap the icon with three stacked bars on the upper left. Then confirm that you are creating reminders in your iCloud account and not something else such as On My iPhone.

Cannot sync photos with iPhone 4

All my recent pictures do not show up in iTunes 10.3.1 when I try to sync them with my iPhone 4. I can import them from my iPhone 4 to iPhoto 9.1.3 without any problems but the latest events that show up in iTunes are from May 2011. All the pictures taken in June 2011 do not show up.
Here is what I have tried:
Repaired the iPhoto Library Database
Examined and repaired iPhoto Library file permissions
Repaired Disk Permissions using Disk Utility
Is there any log file for iTunes that I can delete that might be damaged?
Any ideas?

Syncing problems with Iphone + Ipad

Hi everyone, I am currently facing problems sycning my iPhone 3GS (ios 5) and my iPad 2 (ios 5) to my iTunes (10.5) on my PC, I have tried everything from uninstalling iTunes to wiping phone and no luck! other things tried include checking for errors where it pops up, no ipod/iphone/ipad connected, even though everytime it is appearing in my computer and my devices! I cant even estiblish wifi sync as i cant connect it to turn it on!, i currently cannot sync my songs, videos, everything! Very frustrating!
Any advice or help would be appreciated!

When plugged into itunes. Click on the device and then on the tab that says apps. in this screen simply untick the box that says automatically sync apps. then simply tick or untick the apps you want on that device. hope this helps

One way is to sync both devices to the same computer. Make sue the proper boxes are checked in the Photos Pane in iTunes for the iPhone and iPad. The Pane a devices only show up in iTunes when the devices are connected to itunes. You can also move photos by apps such as DropBox.

Is anyone having problems with syncing photos with iPhone 5 and the recent iPhoto update?

My iPhone 5 has been fine for most of the week, but recently I updated my iPhoto on my iMac. Now when I sync my phone with my computer I get an error message. I restarted computer and phone and then restored the software on the iPhone and problem persisted. I then unchecked syncing photos to my phone and the sync worked.
Now I do not have the ability to sync selected photo albums with my iPhone. Believe this problem occured right when I updated iPhoto.
Is anyone else having this problem?

I am having the same issue. My iPhone 5 is on Verizon and my daughters iPhone 5 is on Sprint. Cannot do anything.

Why does syncing photos with my iPad take so long even if the photos on my Mac haven't changed?

Whenever I sync my iPad (1st generation) with my Mac/iTunes, everything syncs fine, but the syncing of the photos takes forever - even if none of the photos has changed on my Mac. Is this normal? Anyone else experiencing long sync times? Is there any way to tell the iPad or Mac to not bother re-syncing existing photos that haven't changed (just do a delta?) Thanks.

Welcome to Apple Support Discussions.
Considering OS X is extremely stable I don't think there is something Apple needs to address. However there very well could be an issue with your set up. One of the common issues is if you live in a suburban area you may be competing for bandwidth for wi-fi with your neighbors. Most wi-fi routers are use channel's 5 & 6 as their default channels and most people never change them. Where I less I no less than 15 wi-fi networks within range so I changed my channel. You can download and use iStumbler (Google it) and it will tell you what networks are within range and what channel each is using. There are about 11 channels so then it's just a matter of changing your router's channel. If you are using a Airport Extreme or Airport Express you can use Airport Utility to do this, if you are using another router then locate instructions for how to change channels.
Another possiblity is your ISP could be causing the problem by using DNS settings that create problems. I use Comcast as my ISP (if you're not familiar with them, they're huge!) and was forced to change mine. Here is an article from MacWorld that explains the problem and how to fix it.

Syncing Photos with reduced size

Initially when I sync photos between my computer and iTouch, there is an option of whether to keep the original size of those photos. After I switched to a different folder to sync photos with iTouch, I do not have that option from iTune. can someone help? How I can make that switch?

This isn't a direct answer, since I'm not running Photoshop Elements on a PC, but what you describe works perfectly with geotagged photos coming from iPhoto on my Mac. Photos taken in Texas and parts of Europe west of Greenwich show up fine; photos taken in Tunisia do also. I wonder if there's something funky about the EXIF information for the photos that don't show up? For whatever it's worth, here's the data from one of my Tunisia photos that DOES show up in Places on my iPad:

I am unable to sync photos with my iPad. Both computer and iPad have the most recent updates. Only a few photos sync. I have plenty of memory.

Nothing more to add other than what you mean is that you have plenty of storage capacity. If you truly have plenty of memory - you should remember this from now on ...memory would be the RAM and storage capacity is the amount of space available on the device for you to add apps, movies, books, etc.
