I think I accidentally removed some original fonts. How can I restore the original font package back?

I validated all the fonts and it showed some errors. So I removed the errors, but now some website looks weird to me. I think I have removed some fonts that come with the OS originally, but I don't know which ones. How can I fix this?

System fonts can be re-installed by re-installing Mavericks.
Boot up holding command-r keys into your Recovery Volume.
First run Disk Utility > Repair Disk, if you get errors run until no errors reported or reports "the disk cannot be fixed". Then, choose Reinstall OS X. This will be an install "in place" and shouldn't effect any of your own data or settings.
That said, you should always have a backup, as anything can happen at any time.

I have accidentally made iCal go "offline" - how can I restore it?

First check Settings>General>Restrictions and make sure that Installing Apps is set to On.  If it is, then
Look on all your screens and inside all your folders because you can't delete it.  If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.  This will restore the home screen to its original configuration but may move other apps around to do so. (You may want to take some screen shots of your screens first so you can use them to restore your app arrangement later.)

    Hi!
Usually, you can click on the Trash folder, locate the email you deleted, and then right-click on it or drag it to restore it to your original location.
    If you need more specifics:
Would you please clarify which email service (Gmail, Yahoo!, Outlook.com, etc.) you are using? Are you using Thunderbird?
    <hr>
I hope that solved your problem!

  • I am using the latest Safari. When I open a saved web page, the page is replaced by a grid view of 12 sites I visited.  How can I restore the original setting ?

I am using MacBook Air 13 for more than two years.  I appears some setting in Safari has been changed unwittingly. Now whenever I open a web-page I have previously saved, the "saved as" page disappears and is replaced by a screen showing in grid view the last 12 pages of sites I have visited.  How to restore the setting so that the web page when opened shows the page I have saved.

From the Safari menu bar, select
              Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

  • Sry guys,I accidentally removed my mac appstore. How can I get it back ???I have mac os x 10.6.8 .someone tell me how can I get the mac appstore back????:(

    hi

Yes, if you download and apply that update, the App Store will be reinstalled on your drive. Much faster though to retrieve it from a backup if you have one.
As stevejobsfan0123 noted though, if all you did was remove it from the Dock (not sure what you mean by "application list"), then it's still on the drive and all you need to do is put it back on the Dock.
Open the Applications folder on your hard drive. Is the App Store program in that folder? If so, there's nothing to restore or reinstall. Just drag and drop it anywhere on to the Dock to restore that icon to the Dock and you're done.

  • I accidentally updated to Firefox 4, but my computer is too old. How can I undo the download and get back to pre-Firefox 4?

I had already removed the previous firefox icon from my computer, and after having replaced it in my applications folder, I discovered that it would not run on my computer.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

The email display has "shrunk" into the upper left corner of the window. I can view the same email info without any problems with Safari. I prefer the Firefox server/format, so I would really appreciate any help in resolving this issue. Thanks

Please update to Firefox 32 ([[Update Firefox to the latest version]]) and then try reading [[Font size and zoom - increase the size of web pages]]
