Hi, I think I got scammed on iTunes. I purchased this...

And then I found out that it wasn't actually released by the artist himself, but someone else under his name.
Can they get my credit card information? Or only the $3.38? What happens?

Hi guysI have recently been offered on steam for a trade. The guy was saying he will give me 10 bucks for my skin i thought it was to good to be true so i went for it. If it was marked as an invoice then its probably a scam doing the rounds as its been sent by a buyer and altered to look as though he has paid you.
Signs its a scam are >>>
its an invoice BUT sellers send invoices not buyers
marked as paid
marked as gift
says payment won't show in your balance for eg 24 hours
can't be chargedback.
Paypal NEVER tell you to send anything until the funds are showing in your paypal account balance.
Paypal payments are more or less instant.
Paypal will never tell you that a payment can't be subject to a chargeback. If you have sent the item then there is not a lot you can do except if you have his contact info pursue him in the small claims court or whatever you have similar in your country. I got 64 bit iTunes for 64 bit Windows 8 and I can't download my purchases on iTunes in the cloud and I had just recently restore my Windows 8 64 bit back to original settings and upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and I was thinking there has to be a patch or something to get my 64 bit iTunes to work.

Yesterday, July 25,2013 I bought 4 songs from iTunes,and I received an error code saying the purchase could not be made and to try again latter. I went and checked my bank account and saw that the purchase had been made. I get on iTunes again today and it says that I did not buy those songs,so I bought them again and they downloaded this time. The 4 songs costed $4.92 and I bought them a second time for $4.92. I spent $9.84 (my math was off when I emailed them I told them $9.92). Now I have to wait until they email me back and so on. Has something similar happened to any of you? BTW this isn't the first time this happened to me.

I got those emails and they said I have to wait 48 hours. I know I have to be patient. I just posted this to see ancd find out if this has happened to anyone else. I had incomplete tracks too and I solved it. I just deleted the song from my library and redownloaded it or a different version. Until my problem is solved I think I won't use iTunes store for a while.

Prepaid iTunes cards, if that's what you mean, are not specific to any version of iTunes. I presume you're following this procedure to redeem the card:

However, some won't play and ask me for the password for the apple id they were purchased under. 2 of these ids are obsolete and I have no access to those accts. The songs all played on my old computer without prompting me for a password.
Any ideas how I can get around this hassle and get them all to play? We're talking about 800 songs that are being obstinate. The new computer is authorized under my "new" Apple id, which I have used for years.

I would not suggest starting anew AppleID as you will have problems with previous purchases.

Because it is part of your old AppleID (and your library does not just magically appear).
Did you make a backup of your HD?

Authorize your computer for your old AppleID then File > Devices, select your device then Transfer purchases.
I highly suggest you sort out the issue with your old AppleID and continue to use that. Remove your personal info from the new AppleID and don't use it.

I wasn't paying attention so I don't know the precise error I got on the upgrade failure.
All other iTunes upgrades have been fine...no brainers. Done several on this W7 PC.
If I re-download and install a fresh iTunes I assume I will lose my library...true? Can I find and save off my library so I don't have to "discover" all my music which is scattered all over the PC and a 1T attached USB drive.
Or is there some way to get the iTunes upgrade to successfully restart and install correctly?

The following Knowledge Base article provides some recomendations for troubleshooting:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open

Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

For no apparent reason my phone stopped working...so I did a reset and got the message 'Restore Needed'. I connected to iTunes and got this message: 'iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on your iPhone before it can be used with iTunes'.
The problem is, I can't enter my passcode because I'm not given that option on the iPhone. All I seem to be able to do is make an emergency call.
It's been working fine otherwise. Any suggestions?
This is the SECOND replacement iPhone I've had this week and I'm getting a bit fed up.

Are you referring to the 4 digit passcode needed to enter the phone and use it's features?
If so reboot your iPhone and enter the passcode to get it operational. Launch Image Capture on the Mac and connect the iPhone. Now you should be able to download the video files to wherever you want on your hard drive.
