I think I'm gonna die. My old music from my laptop is something I want to transfer to my iPhone 4s but everytime I sync when i take off my wifi it doesnt work so i use the home sharing. How to make it more permanent on my phone?

How can i save it permanently to my iPhone when everytime I sync i cant access it ? When i use home sharing as soon as the wifi is down it doesnt work ? I need it to be saved to my phone and I can use it on the go ! I need help, its killing me !!!!!!

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

We have one computer with two users how do we use the home sharing icon if it disappears and we can't have itunes on both at the same time

my dad just got an ipod touch and we used to share one user name and he wanted his own, now he wants to get his songs from my user to his without using CD's, i want to use the Home Sharing, but when i try to the icon disappears and i don't know how to use it.

With Firefox 23 and TabMixPlus 0.4.1.0 installed, an additional box is added to the Tabs options panel that allows 3 options for the tab bar:
*One is to '''Always''' hide the tab bar. I do not know whether future versions of TabMixPlus will remove that option. I have tested in Firefox 23 and it is possible to completely hide the tab bar regardless of the number of tabs open.
Other options added in the additional box with TabMixPlus 0.4.1.0 are:

Neither computer needs to be connected to the internet.
They do need to be on the same local network

I would suggest that join your iphone with iTunes and do not sync. Than in your info window of iTunes uncheck auto sync of songs and videos. Check Mark for manual selection of songs. Also uncheck sync of songs window. After this sync your iphone and manually copy your songs from your iphone through itune by opening music under your iphone icon in the left status bar and copy to your laptop music folder. I think it would help out. I did same for myself. Try out. TC

Syncing I Touch and Using the Home Sharing

I have 2 questions.
Yesterday I tried to sync my iTouch with my computer upstairs, but somehow it gave me a 'USB not connected.' (Of course, it was the first time, after a great while, to sync my itouch after I've download so much stuff to the iTouch.) When it gave me the message bubble, I rebooted my computer and see if it worked...I rebooted the computer and it did! But then as I ejected the Itouch from the Itunes store, all of my apps disappeared as well as my songs.
Here are my two questions need to be answered:
1st question: Is there a way to get the apps and songs back to my Itouch (without paying download fee, again)?
And my 2nd question: Is there anyway I can get those songs and apps from that computer upstairs down to another computer in the house by applying Home Sharing? And if the computer keeps getting glitches every-so-often, is there a way to prevent that from coming back?

Your homesharing ID and your iTunes account ID are not the same thing (although it's possible to set them the same). You need to use the same info that you entered into iTunes/advanced/homesharing

I want to get a Router with a USB port for Home Sharing my library of Music and Movies off a 3TB external HD to my iMac, Apple TV, and iPad so that I don't have to leave my iMac on all the time, but more importantly, I have almost filled the 1TB of memory on the iMac so I need more space. I like my setup using the iPad as a remote to stream movies from the iMac to my AppleTV but I need more space. Thanks.

The iPod and/or MacBook communicate with the Apple TV via WiFi, so there has to be a WiFi network of some sort, even if just an "ad hoc" one set up using a laptop or desktop computer as an access point. If you don't think there will be a WiFi network available, I'd suggest leaving out the Apple TV and just connecting the MacBook or iPod directly to the TV to do your presentation. A MacBook can connect to just about any video input with the appropriate adapter, and the iPod touch can connect via composite or component inputs, or HDMI if it's a fourth-generation iPod touch.

You can't sync music to your phone which isn't in your iTunes library. As you are only streaming the music to your laptop via Home Sharing, you wouldn't be able to sync it to your phone from the iTunes library on your laptop. You can, however, copy the music from the iTunes library on the host computer to the iTunes library on your laptop using Home Sharing and then sync the music to your phone. Caution: the iPhone is only designed to sync to a single computer/iTunes library. If you have been syncing with your pc and not your laptop you would be strongly advised not to sync with your laptop or you will create all kinds of problems.

I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to do. If you are trying to import content over homesharing from a computer you no longer have, you are out of luck. If you are just trying to redownload purchased content, you don't need homesharing.

Why can't I use a home sharing ID for iMessage on more than one device?

My daughter has a current gen iPod Touch. My wife has an iPhone 5. We would like to make sure that my daughter's iMessage messages show up on not only her iPod, but also my wife's iPhone. However, the system will not allow us to add my daughter's home sharing email address ([email protected]) to my wife's iMessage. Is this a system limitation? Or is there some way to make it happen?

OK. Try this.
Log out of your ID in Messages and then log back in again. See if that refreshes the settings and if you get a message that your phone number is available to be used in Messages or if your phone number now appears as a choice. Select your number, then tap Next and the number will be verified.
If the ID that you are using is yours, then your phone number should also be available to use.
