I think I need to activate .htacess...

I'm having an issue hosting Wordpress on my Mountain Lion (10.8) server (with 10.8 OS as the base).
Every time I try to switch to the non default permalink options, it gives me a "not found" error when accessing my pages (though oddly enough, it doens't impact my posts).
I read somewhere that Wordpress uses a .htacess file to do that lookup and make the changes, and so I think it might be that Server can't access the .htacess file (or doesn't know it is there?) relative to the website.
I've read that Server doesn't by default access .htacess files and I need to make changes to the httpd.conf file, but so far all the solutions I've tried from here haven't worked - or at least I don't know how to confirm they are working (since I don't know if this is a OS X issue or a Wordpress issue, a way to ocnfirm OS X is accessing .htacess files would be super useful so I can diagnose the problem).
Anyway, any help I can get with this is warmly welcomed.

Stupid me. After several weeks I found it under the "Advanced" menu that opens up when setting up or eding the website on Server.app. There's a box there to check that I guess I totally missed before.

IF you forget your email and password and you are stuck in the activation process, it usually gives you a clue on what is your email like w********[email protected] If you really own the phone, you already have a clue on what is that email add. Then go to appleid.apple.com, click on manage my device, enter what you think is your email addy (no harm in trying that it wont lock) then click on i forget password. This will give you an option to either sent the password to an alternate email. If you have several, then sad to say you have to open it one by one and check including your spam mails. Another option is to answer some security questions you made while creating an apple id. Your last option is to call apple support. If you know the email add and you can prove ownership, they can reset the password for you

Blackberry World thinks I need to update Apps that are already up-to-date. (Infinite Update Loop)

I have been having trouble with Blackberry World. It states that I have apps that need updating, but I already have the most recent update of these apps. In addition, BBW states that I need updates for apps that I no longer have installed on my phone. (and I cant seem to uninstall these apps via BBW)
I have tried installing the update (even if its not needed), and uninstalling/re-installing the apps, and nothing eliminates this problem. "Refresh BlackBerry World" does not help either.
for an example: I have 9 apps that BBW thinks I need to update. One of which is Blackberry Blend. When I click on Blend, It states that the Update is available to Version 1.1.0.67, but directly underneath, it states that I have Installed Version 1.1.0.67 !!! If I choose to perform the update, the notice for updating Blend shows back up in BBW immediatley. The same issue is occuring with a number of apps, including: Google Talk, Skype, etc..
Any suggestions on how to stop this BBW App Update Infinite Loop?

Hi, I've tried clearing the cache multiple times. With or without reboot, it doesn't seem to fix the problem.
I should probably mention that this is on a Z10 STL100-3 OS release 10.3.1.1865 OS version 10.3.1.2708. This problem was occuring with only Skype before the upgrade from 10.2, but since the update its with 9 other Apps as well. I even completely wiped my phone, and only selectively restored a handful of apps to prevent the issue, but thats when BBW now displays required updates for Apps I no longer have installed on the phones since starting from scratch.

I recently got a new MacBook Pro Running on OSX Mavericks and used Time Machine to move my documents and applications. However Microsoft Office Student/ Home applications did not work and requested a product key. I did not have the product key for it as I had installed Microsoft a long time ago, so I purchased a new Mincrosoft Office 2011 Student/Home Pin to install Microsoft Office. Everything installed fine, however when I go to open it it failed to open.
I need to activate my Microsoft Office within 15 days apparently and this is done when the application is launched. However none of the Microsoft Office applications do Launch (not Word, Powerpoint, Excel or Outlook).
Whenever I tried to open one of the named above the Microsoft Error Reporting App would pop up and list the errors. I was advised on other support pages to disenable this app so I have done that but now Word is now giving its own error message saying:

I don't know or understand what is stopping me from launching my Misrosoft Office. I am wondering if others have encountered similar problems with OSX Mavericks and the Microsoft Office 2011? Does anyone have any ideas of how I can get it to launch?

This indicates you had a bad install. You need to completely remove Office and reinstall using your new CD Key. See instructions here. Do not do the simple remove, Use the COMPLETELY REMOVE ALL FILES steps.

so I purchased a new Mincrosoft Office 2011 Student/Home Pin to install Microsoft Office.
You don't purchase a PIN. A PIN is generated when you install Office. You need a CD Key. If you bought Office365, you activate online.
I have issues with the Microsoft User Data - are there supposed to be two? and where exactly do they belon. They are in the Documents file at the moment.
Unless you used Outlook or Entourage you can delete both Microsoft User Data folders. When you install Office it will create a new one. Only Outlook & Entourage used this folder for data. W,E,P stores it's data in the User's Library/Application Support/Microsoft folder now.

It is Command+r or for the online internet system it is Command+option/Alt+r keys. Then you use Disk Utility to erase the macintosh partition, from the built in recovery hd, or you can repartition the drive as one partition from the online system.
To actually get to the online internet system you have to hold that key combo down until you see a globe on the screen. Otherwise it will just boot from the built in recovery hd on the internal drive.

I would recommend the Seagate 120 gb hard drive. Your system is limited to up 128 gb, thus the recommendation.

After you format the new drive, install your OS X Tiger on the new drive (I also recommend updating the OS X to 10.4.8)

After you have finished installing the OS to the new hard drive, the OS should prompt you, asking if you would like to transfer files. Just follow the prompts, and you'll soon be done.
When the transfer is done, and you are satisfied that all is well, you may consider reformatting the old drive (losing all previous data) and using the newly formatted old drive for backup.

If you're able to boot, launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

If the iPhone does not have the necessary carrier support files, then it won't connect regardless of the bands used. And as evidenced by the addition of more EU carriers just by an update to iOS, those files are not automatically present in the iPhone except for those carriers listed on the page I referenced. I have yet to see any reports of anyone being able to connect a US-sold iPhone 5 to a European carrier via LTE, so those support files are apparently not present in US-sold iPhones.
Again, unless someone has found a workaround that I cannot find any evidence of, a US iPhone will it would seem not work via LTE in Europe. I'd be happy to see reports or methods to the contrary, but I cannot find any.

No one is likely to recommend where you buy your software from other than Adobe in these forums... not so much because of support for Adobe, but mostly because of lack of support/knowledge of any third party vendors. VGA is an analog signal HDMI is digital. A simple cable would not work you would need something that converts the analog signal to digital.
A search of VGA to HDMI turned up a few possibilities but nothing specific. In any case the picture on the TV will not be very good given the source.
You should check to see if the TV has a VGA input. Some TV's have a computer connection port and this is usually VGA.
