I think I set up all of my email accounts twice on my iphone5s how do I fix?

I have been getting a lot of my emails twice for both my verizon account and my gmail account on my iphone 5s. I will go through and delete emails and then a minute later I will get the same emails back again as unread. However, the ones that I have read and kept, show up as read.
I found an answer to someone else's similar question on here which led me to believe that when I transferred from my 4s and had trouble with the email accounts I must have set them up twice, although I only see one listing of each account on my device. But the answer didn't explain how to fix the situation. So how do I fix this? I think it may also be eating up my battery life.

I haven't heard of this before nor do I know how accounts could be set up twice so I'm thinking the problem isn't with the phone. Is there a setting in your Verizon and gmail accounts that might cause this? You'd have to log into those accounts of course from your browser. I don't use Verizon or gmail so I'm not familiar with them but I'd start there.
Edit: You could also try reseting your phone. Perhaps there's a glitch going on. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. You won't loose any data, photos, music, etc. I'll just reset the phone to factory like settings leaving your iOS version intact.

Thanks but that did not work. Details: when I don't have headphones plugged in, the volume won't go up or down and it also displays a circle with a line through it meaning it's not working. When I go to settings and look at my audio output, it only says headphones, even if no headphones are plugged in. I have tried inserting and removing headphones many times, also tried poking the inside of the headphone jack with a stripped Q-tip, and nothing works. Something inside the jack that senses headphones is not sensing the lack of headphones.

You can go into settings, mail, contacts and calendars, and set your mail to only download the last 50.
When you actually set upthe account, you can go into any available advanced settings and see if that can be set to new mail only. Unfortunately, every mail provider had slightly different things they'll allow you to tweak, so you just have to play to see what you can do.
For example, when I set up my Yahoo, I have different things I can tweak than I do on my Hotmail account, so some accounts allow more ability to tweak than others.

No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that.

Well Roger , it may not be particularly difficult for you it is quiet clear that for several thousand people who managed to find the time to seek out help for these devices and programs that the manufacturer is unable or unwilling to provide it is at the very least "difficult"! If we are to tally up the amount of questions and inquiries posted on this one help site, I shudder to think of the size of the iceberg of inoperative functions and thus lost revenue to all those people , company's that like me have found things "difficult "! Last summer I created a "I cloud " address in a hurry while in dep lounge LHR
And now wish to change as above is reputed to be used by notorious thugs who assault seniors on streets and post result on Web, useing same letters that I had hastily typed prior to Flt over pond. Alas like you I am now aware of the inability of changing address and thus wish to create " alias" to at least hide offending letters . Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

Just switched to ios7.1.2 and all of my email accounts are lumped together...I need them to be separate...I'm sure I just don't know how...any suggestions?

Are you saying your seeing all your emails in one inbox?
hit the email account at the top left - see if that will take you to each individual account.

Also change your security questions too. If he knows those he can still get your passwords after they are reset. Also if you have other email accounts associated with the accounts, ie a password reset email different from the account you are trying to reset, you need to change those too. He may have his email set up there to receive the password reset messages. One other thing you can do is dump all of them and start over with new email accounts.

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
You must first have purchased, installed and registered .a Mac package.
Then launch Mail, open the Preferences… dialog, and press the Accounts tab. Click the + button in the lower left corner, select Account Type: .Mac and fill in the required information.

How can I set up a "receive only" email account in Outlook 2010

I have an Outlook 2010 email account that receives emails from a "Fax-to email" service, and I'd like to make that accout "Receive Only". Is it possible to do that, and if so, how.

As per the information and details provided by you, to set up a
“Receive Only”email account in Outlook 2010, please follow these steps: -
You have a few options available to you. You can set up the account with
a fake SMTP server name and configure the Send/Receive group to not send mail from this account, or you can use a different, valid account for the Outgoing server, just in case you accidentally use the wrong account when you compose a message.
First, create the account in Outlook: -
Fill the name and address fields with the desired information. Select
POP3 account type and enter the incoming server name.
In the Outgoing server field, type
nomail.
Enter the correct username and password for the incoming mail account.
If you want to verify the incoming server is correctly configured, click on
Test Account Settings, and then choose the dialog after the incoming server is verified.
Deselect the option to
Automatically test account settings when the Next is clicked.
Click on the
Finish to return to Outlook.
Because Outlook will error on every manual send and receive when it can not find the outgoing server error, you need to change the
Send and Receive Settings for this account.
Press
Ctrl+Alt+A to open the Send/Receive Settings dialog. (or you can go to
Send/Receive tab, Send/Receive Groups and select Define Send/Receive Groups.
Click the
Edit button.
Select the receive-only account, then deselect
Send Mail Items.
Click on the
OK, then Close to return to Outlook.

I just updated my iTunes and now ALL of my music is gone what happened and how do I fix it ASAP?

Litterly 15 Mins ago all of my music was present. I - in fact - just finished using it to play a song. Then I got a window that popped up saying that my iTunes is in need of an update. So I update it then it said it was all up to snuff...
So I go back into my iTunes to continue using it
but now It's ALL GONE!!!!
what happened and how to I fix it ASAP???
---because this is like 80g's of music man, I spent Months - MONTHS ripping all my cd's and formating EVERYTHING NICELY into iTunes just to have the work poof disapear?

But I do back up everything, as much as I am able...
However, it seems to me I've got to shift everything back into iTunes - Again.
