I think my exchange has been upgraded but BT can't...

Hi,
Talk Talk have tried to entice me away from BT and told me my BT exchange (Repton - EMRPTON) has been upgraded, which I kind of believe if I look on the samknows website and the fact that BT now say my telephone number should be between 6.5 and 15 Mbps, estimated at 11Mbps.
Now I've called BT twice and nobody seems to be able to understand what I am asking.
All I want to know is why their website has been updated to show the above figures, do I only get the following from the http://speedtester.bt.com site:
Download speed achieved during the test was - 4.61 Mbps
 For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.6 Mbps-7.15 Mbps.
 Additional Information:
 Your DSL Connection Rate :6.56 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
 IP Profile for your line is - 5 Mbps
Can anyone shed any light onto my request. How do I get 11Mbps?? Do I need to do anything like get a BT Home Hub 3?
Surely my line profile should be 15Mbps?

    If you're not sure where some of the content you see in iTunes is stored, iTunes will also show you what it knows about your media in the Get Info window.
    Select an item in iTunes and choose File > Get Info.
    You can right-click on the 'Where' to get the option to Show in Finder (Mac OS X) or Show in Windows Explorer (Windows).

  • I REALLY need help W/ my New Ip 4. Music Note Link, takes me right to the store, and keeps telling me, all my music has been downloaded, but I can't find it anywhere.... HELP!!!

    I upgraded my Original Iphone to an Iphone 4, and am having issues syncing my Music,
    It asked me, if I wanted to set up my phone as a NEW Iphone, or use the last sync. I figured, using the last sync would simply move everything over. NOT, so much. I am using Windows, Not Mac.
        I uploaded the LATEST version of Itunes. And on occasion if I click the Music link button, and tap a bunch of things,.. It will take me to a page that says,.. Iphone or Shared Library. The only way I can get my music to show up, is via, tapping Shared Owner's Library. But it takes a zillion taps to get there, and 50% of the time doesn't show up at all. It says- repeatedly, Either, "You have no songs," etc. or when I tap, "Not on this device" it says, "all of your music has been downloaded to this device..." But HOW do I get to it?
        On my OLD phone, all I had to do was tap the Music Note,... and my library showed up... That's all I want...
    I put my music in the cloud, etc,.. I just thought that was a COPY. Am I needing some kind of CLOUD app on my phone? Or Can someone walk me thru this... I'd be eternally grateful. I'm ready to throw this thing out the window! HELLLPPP! PLEASE!!!

    The reason, I included the annotation that I'd upgraded my Itunes, (On my Computer) is B/C in many forums - the very first question, *HELPERS* ask, is. "Do you have the latest version of Itunes downloaded on your computer." I wanted to knock out any obvious replies.
    Now-  "DO YOU have any idea,"... how your UNHELPFUL remarks, do absolutely nothing but hurt others that might not have the EXPERIENCE you have? How do you expect people to know things without asking questions? Whew! RUDE!!

  • I was charged over $600 for a phone I returned and it has been reactivated, but they can't take the charge off my bill.

    In September I was charged $650 for a broken phone that was not returned.  I took the phone to Verizon store near my home and asked what I needed to do to return the equipment.  The sales rep said all I needed to do was put it in the envelope and put it in the mail.  I asked him if there was paperwork or anything I needed to send with it.  He said again, no you just put it in the envelop and put it in the mail.  So against my better judgement I did.  October came and the charge was still on my bill.  I called customer service and they told me to wait and it should show up.  I called again a couple weeks later and explained what I had done and that I had returned the phone.  The supervisor I talked to figured out that I had sent the phone to "Hope Line"  which was a padded envelope that came in the same return box.  So basically I donated a phone $650 to Hope Line.  She reassured me that Hope Line also tracks the phones and once it showed up on their system my account would be credited.  I talked to someone on Friday and my phones-3 of them were shut off on Monday.  I called again and the new person I talked to told me the phone had been found, but they couldn't credit my account for a couple of days.  They transferred my call to billing and the guy was upset that the customer service person had even told me that.  The November bill came out and still the charge was there.  I called again and again my phones were shut off.  I called to get them reinstated the first part of December.  The person on the phone this time told me that I would have to pay the fee.  I asked if the phone had been found.  He was rude and stated it did not go back to the warehouse and I would have to pay the fee.  He did tell me that the phone had been reactivated.  So if the phone had been reactivated and someone was paying for the data plan, why did I have to pay for the equipment fee that I sent back and now someone else was using?  I asked to talk to a supervisor.  She stated that I would have to pay the fee, but she was going to talk to warehouse and see if there was something they could do to get the fee taken off-since someone else is now using that phone.  She told me she would get back to me in a couple of days.  That was the second week of December and still I have not heard back from anyone.  My December/January bill is due the 29th and still I have a $650 charge on my bill.  Any suggestions on how I can get this resolved?

    That sounds like an idea.I've had trouble with Verizon a lot .I I switch ed back to a non andriod phone cause of the expense it took 3 months and at least that many hours of phone calls &store visits to straight in it out...there's been many times things are blocked and a month later its back on the bill,u call and are told they can't do anything ...not there problem, can't b fixed from there end,I asked to talk to a sup. At was told I couldn't then she said I'd b told the same thing I insisted...I was on hold for about 20 minutes I hung up tried to call back they would not answer, I called my daughter had her call they answered when she told them they tried to blow her off too, so she went down to a store and made a complaint.. I don't have a store in our town,the customer should not have Togo through all that trouble some of this is down right criminal... I'm going through more problems again....they won't Evan discuss it with me unless I pay what's owed and the amount has still got the internet fees they've never taken off.

    My new HP ENVY 23 TOUCHSMART PC has been authorized for itunes, but I can't play any of my purchased itunes songs.  When I try to play a purchased song in my itunes library, I get an error message prompt stating that the song could not be used because the original file could not be found.  When I check for available downloads it states that all downloads have been made.  Ironically, all my movie purchases play fine, but the songs do not play.  What do I have to do to play my purchased songs? 

    The 'unable to locate' message means that you don't have those music files on that computer, or that they are not where iTunes is expecting them to be. How did you get the entries for those tracks in your new computer's iTunes ?

    You may also be able to re-download them from the store (checking for available downloads only checks for items that have not yet been downloaded, not for past purchases) via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page (re-downloading music isn't possible in all countries). You may need to delete them form your library first (where you are getting the 'unable to locate' message), otherwise iTunes will assume that you still have them somewhere and won't let you re-download them.

    After hours (literally) on phone calls to BT Tech help I cant seem to achieve more than 8mbps speeds even though I am within a stones throw from the exchange and I've been told that the exchange and my line was upgraded and I should be getting an estimated 17mbps. 
    My HH3 has the modulation set to G.992.1 Annex A and I believe it needs to be G.992.5 Annex M. Does anyone know how to change this on the HH3? Is it auto detecting?

    I think the details given to you by the link is for new customers as they are put onto the new adsl2+ service when they order.
    Here are the different line modulations (some may not be available):
     Standard ADSL
    ANSI T1.413 Issue 2
    ITU G.992.1 (G.DMT)
    ITU G.992.2 (G.Lite)
    ADSL2
    ITU G.992.3
    ITU G.992.4
    ITU G.992.3 Annex J
    ITU G.992.3 Annex L
    ADSL2+
    ITU G.992.5
    ITU G.992.5 Annex M
    If your on G.992.1 know as G.DMT then your still on ADSLMax (upto 8mb).
    If the helpdesk has recently moved you to the new service then I would wait 10days as it may take some time for the changes to apply.
    You can contact BT to upgrade to the new service but you will have to accept a new contract. If you don't want a new contract then you will be upgraded at some time in the next days/weeks/months as they are done in batches. You will get 2 emails to your primary BT email about the upgrade.

    Please could you post your router statistics so we can see what speeds maybe available for you.

    Log in to appleid.apple.com and resend the verification email to then verify the address. If you cannot get pass that, then you can always force the restore on your iPad and then enter in the password to bypass trying to turn it off.

    I understand that after resetting your iPhone, you are being prompted for Apple ID information that is not yours. This can happen if an iPhone is restored without turning off the Find My Phone feature. For more information on this, please refer to the attached article.
