I think my Installation disc is corrupted, can I get a replacement?

mACbook pro 15" bought Mid 2010, still under warranty.
I need to wipe the Hard drive to reinstall content from a back up on another disk, but I cannot get the system to boot p from the installation disc.
If I try the reinstall from the same disc I am told that the disc is dirty and needs cleaning, tried to carefully clean the disc with anti static cloth but still cannot boot or re-install.
Will Apple give me a replacement disc?

I contacted the local Mac store and they are asking approx US$180 for a replacement disc.
The Company I work for bought a bunch of Macbooks (13", 15" & 17") plus around 25 Mini Macs in the USA last year and shipped them to the Philippines.
They have found that the installation discs for the 13" and 17" models, question is will they work on my 15" Macbook?

Reset Password
Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box under “Select user account”.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click  in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”.

The multi-colored spinning "Beach Ball of death" is caused by your computer doing something so time consuming, it cannot proceed. Some web sites can cause this, but more often it is caused by:
• you are extremely short of RAM memory
• Your hard Drive is failing and a Bad Block is being re-tried hundreds of times to get good data.
Top Priority is to have adequate Backups. Put everything else aside until you have backups, as your hard Drive may die at any moment and take all your data with it.

FWIW, if you purchased the iMac in 2011 and purchased Applecare, you are covered for a total of 3 years. You mentioned yours expired in December 2013 - that cannot be unless you bought yours in 2010. If you bought it in December 2011, you should still be covered until December 2014 - if so, contact Apple/make a Genius Bar appointment quickly so the replacement is covered by the warranty. The hard drive replacement program might have expired, but as long as you're covered by Applecare, a drive replacement is covered.

To transfer your current hard drive I like the applications Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper. They make a bootable copy of everything on your hard drive. http://www.bombich.com/index.html or http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/SuperDuperDescription.html
You'll need a cheap SATA external hard drive case. Put the new drive in the case then format and partition the new drive and clone your old drive to the new one. Check that it's set up right by booting up from the external drive. Then replace your old hard drive with the new one and put your old one in the external case.
