I think my Ipad was hacked.

Last night I plugged in my Ipad to charge. When I unplugged it this morning and opened the browser(Safari) there were several pages open that were written in Chinese and one page that was on a website for a Honda Accord in English. When I went to search in the browser the keyboard had been split in two, which is not the way I normally use it. I looked at the history and it showed that about 20 different sites (in Chinese) had been visited. Some of these sites were for someones twitter page. Any ideas on what happened. I have WIfi at the house.

Just turn off the i pad and turn it back on. I am sure it is ads from safari. No hack

Then call Apple and speak to someone in account security. Someone has logged on to iCloud using YOUR Apple ID and used Find my iPad to lock the device. They are now, apparently, trying to collect a ransom from you to release it.
The device was not hacked. Your account was. If you had set up two factor authentication, that wouldn't have been possible. You should really do that after you get this fixed.
You may also want to report the extortion attempt to the police.

I think my mac was hacked into last night using my Terminal application

Not sure - but I think my mac was hacked into last night when I downloaded the wrong version of handbrake application. I noticed on my screen that my Terminal Application opened and has some "darwin" code in it with my name and a $dollar sign after it. Should I be worried?

I think my iphone5 was hacked today. A young guy on the street asked me if I would call his brother and tell him to meet at the jack in the box. He claimed to have lost his phone. He gave me a phone number with the local area code and when I called the number , rather than a voice I got a text message which said "fine" and my phone sent a text of "OK" (perhaps it was the other way around) then the call was ended. The guy said thanks and moved away. Later when I called the number back a young man answered. I said "did you send a text to my phone 20 minutes ago? He hung up immediately and I think the phone number I had called changed in my recent calls directory. Neither the orginal call nor the orginal text were still on my iphone. Have I been hacked? What shoul.d I do from here? Thanks.

There is no known way for an iPhone to be hacked remotely. Jailbreaking - hacking the phone to allow apps from outside the App Store - requires physical access to the phone.
None of this sounds particularly concerning. You cannot be hacked through a phone call or a text. Your phone also cannot respond to a text on its own, nor will it change numbers in the recent calls list.
If you have jailbroken your phone, of course, then anything is possible, and you should restore the phone to factory settings and never jailbreak it again.

The iPad cannot get a virus unless it is jailbroken like Menneisyys stated above. Reboot your iPad and see if that helps.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If that doesn't work, quit the mail app and restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Well there are apps for that, but iPads and others are not suseptable to viruses, if they are its very very very small number. So I would suspect that you are fine, but check the app store for an app that would scan for viruses, i use Virusbarrier to scan downloads i get in emails, or links.

You do realize that there are many, many email providers and without knowing which one you are talking about, there is no way to answer your question?
Which then leads to this ..... Have you contacted your email provider about this? That's probably the best place to start. See what they recommend.

Since it has happened previously, it is likely someone you know or who has access to your systems, or has access to recovery information with that game vendor. I seem to recall that vendor being called out for account security issues in the past, but can't say for sure.On the other hand, the symptoms you describe do not necessarily mean you have been "hacked", could be just that something is amiss with the app.
You may wish to reach to the app vendor and see what sort of support it offers.

My ipad was hacked

Today, when i was browsing in google chrome, the following events occured automatically without my intervention,
1.the main search page in ipad got opened and there was typing C,c.
2. After which i observed that wikipedia opened with a topic Command_and_control
3. It scrolled down by itself and clicked a link in blue called cyberwarfare.
By seeing this panicked and tried to poweroff the ipad with the hard button,
Which showed the slide to poweroff option, which i tried forcefully for atleast 8 times, only when i succeeded to power off.
I restarted my ipad after 4 hours and then i cleared all my browsing cache,history,cookies.
Kindly help to ensure it doesnot recur.

There are currently no known viruses or malware in the wild that affect an unjailbroken iPad. Is yours jailbroken? If it isn't then there's something wrong with it. Restore it from your most recent back up. If that doesn't solve the problem, restore it as new.

I think that this person may have gotten my skype info and tried to add himself.
