I think my macbook was just hijacked,I was using Google Chrome to websurf and someone else was controlling my cursor, choosing pages while I was online. What do I do? Will they always be able to do that and how so I get rid of unwanted pests? Thanks for any help

And, although it wouldn't be a bad idea to check for Flashback, this is not a symptom of Flashback.

So I was trying to look for my favourite show online, and I found a whole bunch of sites. So I tried the very first and it didn't have the season I was looking for so I tried many links and i finally found one that actually worked and I was so exited, until all these pop ups came up and some pretty disgusting ones came up, like a pop up for a live chat with some half naked women. Of course my immediate action was to exit the pop up, but then I saw a little button that said it was live and the light on it was flashing. So I immediately clicked exit because I was so scared, and I've heard some pretty scary stories about people getting hacked. And then something really scary happened right when I pressed exit, the phone rang. I was really scared to pick up because I said "Unavailable". Then I heard my aunt pick it up down stairs. When she was finished I went down to ask her who was calling, and she told me it was some unknown guy calling to ask if we wanted to buy desks or something, I didn't really understand her because she was stuttering a lot. But then she just told me don't worry about it, but of course I was worried! I thought some hacker found my location. So immediately I looked for questions and answers on apple support, and I found a response that I think helped. It said to turn on my firewall, disable guest account, change my password, turn off screen sharing, turn off Remote login, turn off Remote management and Remote Apple events in the Sharing panel. (but they were already turned off so I skipped that step). But I'm still scared that the hacker still knows my personal info and ha access to my photos, personal info, and such......
So does anyone have any possible tips or any help, because that would be great, and I don't know how I'm going to go to sleep tonight without any help because I'm really scared so please I just want to feel safe and private becaus eI feel really paranoid right now.

How do I turn off the "make a sound" feature with Find My Mac. I think my macbook was stolen and I don't want it to make a sound when it connects. Can turn the feature off somehow?

You have to jailbreak your phone to do this, voiding all warranty & support. Just flip the Ring/Silent switch when you send. -

Have you talked to your carrier to confirm the unlock?
What was the procedure you did to unlock the phone?
Standard unlocking procedure once processed by the carrier:
Backup in iTunes
Erase the phone (ignore restore terminology here)
Plug the phone to the computer and then launch iTunes
Wait for unlock notification.
Restore the backup. -
wi-fi has full bars, says i am conected but never puts a check by the name of network,i have reset settings and it still does the same thing. i dont think it is my wi-fi because my other computers are able to get on just fine. please help.
There are two ends to a wifi network. Try rebooting your router.

Step 4: Install the Boot Camp Drivers for Windows

Windows that appear only briefly during the installation don’t require your input.

4 After your computer restarts, follow the instructions in the Found New Hardware Wizard to update your software drivers (Windows XP only).
5 Follow the instructions for any other wizards that appear.

If You Have Problems Installing the Device Drivers
If it appears that the Boot Camp drivers weren’t successfully installed, try repairing them.

<Personal Information Edited by Host>Leaving you without a computer for 45 days isn't acceptable. Call Apple and ask for a loaner or replacement. Some people have been receiving them.
If you still have no luck, then consider getting a USB 3.0 HDD and installing and running OS X on it until the replacement part is in. -

Did an update for my ipad to ios 5 from 3 - now it stopped workig at all - only shows an icon of usb connection to i tunes. Reset didn't help , computer doesn't see an ipad. Befor did an update to i-tunes 10 as it was advised. Please HELP ! Another thing - why it happend ? I think that Apple is totaly responsible for this and where they are ? Yes, Apple has caused people to go through massive panic, anxiety and wasted time by not coming out and telling us about this problem. They must know about it. How can we tell them? Now I understand why it took me 50 tries to upgrade to OS5. We all got the same crazy errors that caused us to reinstall iTunes, turn off our firewalls, buy new USB cables and basically waste tons of time and energy, when the solution was very simple. Plug your device into a USB port on your computer.
After years of using a peripheral USB hub successfully it's no wonder we all started freaking out and thinking it was a major problem. Yes, I'm blowing off some steam, but I've been an Apple fanatic for a long time and I'm not happy about their lack of response to this issue. -
I can't update iPhoto 9.4.1 to 9.4.3. Every time I click update, it tells me to sign in to the account I used to purchase it but it was preinstalled. Please help!!!
They are updated through the Software Update facility, not the Mac App Store.

My iLife apps are all from retail install disks predating Lion/ML; I am running 10.8.4 and as soon as I choose Software Update from the menu, the app store 'Updates" window opens with "checking for updates". I believe that behavior (SU being directed to MAS) was changed with ML? -

Video podcasts have to be in SD format, not HD. Make sure you select the proper version for your touch. If you still have problems, you can click on the podcast in iTunes and select Advanced > Create an iPod or iPhone Version. That should convert the video into something that can be played.
As far as syncing audio podcasts (I do this for video as well), I use the simple is better approach. I set iTunes to sync all unplayed podcasts and I set each podcast in iTunes to automatically delete played podcasts. The iPod is clean; iTunes is clean. -

Were you signed in to iCloud?
Did you have Find My iPhone enabled in the iCloud settings?
If so sign in to iCloud.com > Find My iPhone > Devices & select your iPhone

If the screen is not showing anyting when you press any of the buttons you may want to try these steps.

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
