when I opened Firefox last week a different page came up from homepage couldn't remove new homepage or get mine back (Google) anti virus picked up 2 Trojans I uninstalled and then reinstalled after scan quarantined items same thing happened but got 3 Trojans and one virus could not get normal search engine page (yahoo7) couldn't get any page for that matter so I uninstalled again now I have to use IE which I do not like but am afraid to reinstall Mozilla in case same thing happens
hello terbow181, please try these steps after you reinstall firefox:
# [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems|reset firefox]] (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
# afterwards go to firefox > addons > extensions and in case there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
# finally run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] and [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner] to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.

Not sure - but I think my mac was hacked into last night when I downloaded the wrong version of handbrake application. I noticed on my screen that my Terminal Application opened and has some "darwin" code in it with my name and a $dollar sign after it. Should I be worried?

If you are worried about your Adobe account, i would recommend you to change your Adobe password as soon as possible.

I think my iphone5 was hacked today. A young guy on the street asked me if I would call his brother and tell him to meet at the jack in the box. He claimed to have lost his phone. He gave me a phone number with the local area code and when I called the number , rather than a voice I got a text message which said "fine" and my phone sent a text of "OK" (perhaps it was the other way around) then the call was ended. The guy said thanks and moved away. Later when I called the number back a young man answered. I said "did you send a text to my phone 20 minutes ago? He hung up immediately and I think the phone number I had called changed in my recent calls directory. Neither the orginal call nor the orginal text were still on my iphone. Have I been hacked? What shoul.d I do from here? Thanks.
There is no known way for an iPhone to be hacked remotely. Jailbreaking - hacking the phone to allow apps from outside the App Store - requires physical access to the phone.
None of this sounds particularly concerning. You cannot be hacked through a phone call or a text. Your phone also cannot respond to a text on its own, nor will it change numbers in the recent calls list.
If you have jailbroken your phone, of course, then anything is possible, and you should restore the phone to factory settings and never jailbreak it again. -
I was at Apple Store yesterday and they created a pages document for me. When I got home and tried to open it, I get a message that I need a newer version of Pages. I see the image before I push "open". The 'kind' is pages publication. The file does not appear in the 'open recent' list.
Just be careful with Pages 5, it is not strictly an upgrade.
Apple has actually removed over 90 features and some work can be very difficult in the newer version.
It was all done to make it more interchangeable with the inferior iOS version:

Last night I saved a project I've been working on for a couple of days. It's been fine all along. Today, when I went to open it, it's no longer listed in the recently opened files on startup and i get this message:
"The project was saved in a newer version of premiere pro and cannot be opened in this version."
Except it wasn't! I use Premiere CC and it's been fine all along. I can no longer open it at all...
Any thoughts? Very frustrating!One more item. In using PP CC2014 for the first time with this project, I have run into multiple issues making this project very frustrating. When adding a sequence to the master sequence, I have to render the audio each time in order to see all of the audio waves. You have to keep doing this over and over, even though you've already rendered a sequence already.
I am getting error messages when rendering the project saying there are issues compiling the movie. Getting same type error message if I try to export. I narrowed it down to two sequences keeping the program from rendering without the error messages. They each had a tiff file. I deleted them and they rendered. Not sure what this issue was with these particular files since I have other tiff files in the project. Once the rendering of all sequences was done, all the individual sequences were closed and the master was the only one open. I didn't close them. So now to edit any of the sequences I have to go back and open them.
The only thing this project has in it are titles created in PP, a few graphics, mostly tiff tiles and some jpeg and the dissolve effect. That's it. Seems like they should have done more with this version before putting it out there. Maybe that's why there are two separate applications for PP? Who knows. I will be uninstalling PP CC2014 when this project is complete. -
My iPod Nano 7th Generation couldn't be detected by iTunes when I plugged in. I tried resolving the issue by uninstalling the iTunes and then install it back again but yet still the same problem exist. Can you please help me to solve this issue? I have already updated to the latest version of iTunes on my Windows 8 and I cannot synchronize my iPod for the time being. Please do help me to solve this problem. Thank You.

I edited a project on CC on one computer and saved it on my external. My friend took the same project to edit it on her computer under her own name and licence. Both of us recently upgraded to CC. But the same project that worked a few hours back on Premiere Pro CC, does not work now also on Premiere Pro CC and I received a message saying: The project was saved in a newer version of premiere pro and cannot be opened in this version." Can you please help us.?

You should be able to import the xml into an earlier version.
Backward compatibility has never been there with Premiere and it is always recommended not to update in the middle of a project.
As far as the crash is concerned, please tell me more about it so that i can help you to the best of my knowledge.

I just updated to 9.0.1 and now I get 4 tabs opening every time. (Welcome to Firefox, Mozilla Firefox Start Page, Plugin Installed & The Personas Interactive Theme) I can not stop them from opening. Please advise.

I was in Singapore when I created this Apple ID and payment information. Now I am have shifted to India and I am unable to update the Country and Payment related information. When I click on country no option comes up. Can somebody suggst anything?

Specifically, this is the section of the article you will want to pay attention to:
Change your iTunes Store country

Follow the onscreen process to change your region, agree to the terms and conditions for the region if necessary, and then change your billing information.

A 2003 iMac cannot support Snow Leopard 10.6; you'd need an Intel processor and that cannot be retrofitted to your Mac. What does "About this Mac" in your Apple menu say for your processor speed? What does it say about how much RAM you have?
If the processor is 1ghz or faster, you can run OS 10.5; otherwise, you are maxed out at 10.4.11.
Also, are you running any commercial ("pay for") anti-virus or security software? They are notorious for slowing most Macs to a fraction of their speed potential.
A too-full hard drive can drag down performance, especially if you don't have a lot of physical RAM installed. If you single-click your hard drive icon and then do command i, you'll see the disk usage. Looks like this:
The value for "Used" should be no more than about 90 percent of "Capacity." In the example image, that drive has about 34 percent of its space used and 66 percent free--more than enough. Please post what you see for your Capacity and Used numbers
There are a few more things we might check but this is a good start.
