I thought I synced my mac to my Iphone but nothing shows on the phone

I thought I synced my macbook to my new Iphone5, but when I I try to access the music via the music button on the phone it shows nothing. Help?

When I plug in my phone to my laptop to sync, it automatically opens iPhoto and iTunes and begins syncing. When it's finished, in the past it was sync'd, with everything available. Now, it is empty.
So this time, in an attempt to follow your advice, I plugged in, waited for it to finish doing the pretend sync, then looked for the Device pane you mention, which I've never had to use before. I found it in the menu bar under Edit. There was no list of devices to choose from, only the option to sync the iPhone, which I selected, even though the phone already did that when I plugged in initially. So the click initiated the sync again, and I looked for the "series of tabs along the top of iTunes" as you mention, and there is nothing like that visible, nor are they listed in any of the menu tabs, so am still lost. Remember I am using a 3G. Thank you so much.

First, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes on your computer (11.x). If you connect the phone to a USB port directly on your computer (NOT to a USB hub) and it still doesn't appear in iTunes you need to troubleshoot iTunes.

What do you mean by "HD to VGA adapter converter"?
Do you mean have an HDMI to VGA adapter connected the the Mini's HDMI port?
Or maybe you plugged n the the included HDMI to DVI adapter and then connected a DVI to DVI adapter?
In either case that will not work since VGA is analog and the Mini's HDMI port is digital only.
You need to purchase a mini displayport to VGA adapter. It plugs into the Mini's Thunderbolt port.

Make sure you get a name--brand one. I purchased some el cheapo, no-name ones and they did not work

Hotsync Log does not show any information since August 2008. My Treo 755p has been syncing fine but nothing shows in the log!

I just noticed that when I am done syncing, the Hotsync Log does not have any information about the most recent operation. In fact the date of the last entry in the Log is August! Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix this?

Two more clues:
1) I was searching the Palm Knowledgebase and found out where the HotSync Log file is. When I open the file, using Explorer, this message pops up: 'To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this web page from running scripts or ActiveX Controls that could access your computer. Click here to...' If I allow it to run, the screen blinks but nothing seems to change. If I close the Log file and reopen it, it happens again. How can I stop this from happening to the file? Could this be the problem?
2) The Knowledgebase Article below tells how to create a new 'fake' log file to 'fool' the HotSync Manager. So I renamed the original log file, then created the new file as instructed. Then I did a HotSync. After the HotSync completed successfully, I opened the HotSync Manager and there is my new 'fake' log file that has only the words I typed into it when I created the file. Nothing in the Log about the operation at all!

The HotSync Manager is very particular: if it doesn't find things exactly as it expects, it won't work. One of the things it has to find in the right place is the HotSync log, a file where the HotSync manager records everything it does. See How can the HotSync log help me to troubleshoot HotSync problems? for more information about this file.
When you get this error, your HotSync Manager can't find the HotSync Log. This prevents you from performing a HotSync operation. Luckily, the HotSync Manager isn't too bright. Give it any file called HotSync.log and it will be happy again.
The easiest way to give it what it expects is to create a new text document, rename it, and put it in the folder where the HotSync Manager expects to find it. Here's how:
Launch the Windows Notepad. You can usually get to it by clicking on the Start Menu, choosing Programs, then Accessories and finally Notepad.
Type some text. You can type anything you want, as long as there's at least one character in the Notepad document.
From the File menu, choose Save As.
In the Save dialog, navigate to your user folder in the Palm or Handspring folder (find your user folder).
Name the document HotSync and click Save.
Launch Windows Explorer. You can get to it by double clicking on My Computer or by clicking on the Start Menu, choosing Programs and then Windows Explorer.
From the Tools menu, choose Folder Options.
Click on the View tab.
Uncheck the box next to Hide file extensions for known file types.
Navigate to your user folder.
Right-click once on the HotSync.txt document, and select "Rename" from the menu. Rename the file HotSync.log
Attempt another HotSync operation. If you still get the "HotSync.log is missing" message, contact Handspring.

I have synced my google calendars to my ical on my iphone and it works great. I just started to sign into icloud on my mac and noticed that none of my calendars or events are showing there? How do I sync them?

Your Google calendar is not stored locally on your devices (other than a temporary cached view for use while your device is offline); it's stored on Google's server (just as iCloud calendars are stored on iCloud's servers). Neither can sycn data from the other service's server. If you want to use iCloud to sync your calendars, you have to import it to iCloud's server as shown in the linked video. Or, just continue to use Google instead. (They are similar services.)

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

I have sorted it myself!!
Ipod is now in the top right corner, last time I clicked on it, it ejected it but by clicking on the actual ipod icon then it brings up your ipod. I restored it to factory settings and synced all my music and it now works again. Hope this can help anyone who ends up with the same problem.

It sounds like you are unable to print to your printer from Mac OS X Lion. I recommend the troublehsooting from the article named:

Follow these steps until the issue is addressed:
Make sure that the printer is powered on, has ink / toner, and that there are no alerts on the printer’s control panel. Note: If you cannot clear an alert on the printer's control panel, stop here and check the printer's documentation or contact the manufacturer for support.
Ensure the printer is properly connected to a USB port on the Mac or AirPort base station / Time Capsule. If the printer is a network-capable printer, make sure that it is properly connected to your home network.
Use Software Update to find and install the latest available updates. If an update is installed, see if the issue persists.
Open the Print & Scan pane or Print & Fax (Snow Leopard) pane in System Preferences.
Delete the affected printer, then add the printer again.
If the issue persists, try these additional steps:
