Thought I understood automator but I must be missing some basic understanding. I want select several audio (mp3 stereo) files and get automator to convert them to mono aiff files. I know how to do this in soundtrack pro, and I looked under actions, library, music; but could not find a way to get them to be mono in automator. Suggestions?

I'm sorry, I downloaded and installed 'drop a few my way' and read the instructions, but where is the 'drop a few my way' icon? Mysterious new files appeard in the Library/iTunes/Scripts/ folder, but where is the icon supposed to be?

GarageBand, iMovie and iPhoto aren't included with OS X, so it's normal that you haven't got them after reinstalling Mac OS X.
If your iMac didn't come with DVDs, open the App Store, go to Purchases and download iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand free of charge.
If your iMac came with DVDs or you didn't purchase the iLife apps at the Mac App Store, insert the second Mac OS X disc or Applications disc and install the iLife apps. Then, open  > Software Update, and install the most recent version.
Respecting to third-party applications, you have to reinstall them manually

Bulleted List Help. I should know how to do this but I must be missing something.

I need to create a bulleted list that does this:
1. Subject One
a. Sub subject
b. Sub Subject 2
I can create a bulleted list.. but how do I created a nested bulleted list like above so that the 2nd item in the list is indented in and starts with an a. ?

In CS3, something like this
Create from Bullets and Numbering, Type > List, defaults to a numbered list. For the sub set create a copy of the first and set the List type to use a., b., c etc (from the numbering style, I also set level 2)

Nevermind I ended up having to reset my restrictions and everything was restored after I reenabled the restrictions. There are also other ways to retrieve but I did NOT jailbreak my Ipod.

Well, seems I managed to unscrew this...I deleted my iCloud mail account and reinstalled it on my phone. That got rid of the duplicate .me/.mac email accounts.

Applescript works in Automator but not as Application workflow

I have a pretty simple Application workflow in automator that runs this applescript:
set front_app to (path to frontmost application as Unicode text)
tell application front_app
activate
set bounds of window 1 to {0, 0, 1280, 800}
end tell
as you can see all it does is it maximizes the current window. it works when I run the script from within automator, but when i save it as an application and run that it says the applescript errored.
Why is my simple automator not working as an application?

When you run that script as an application it comes to the front and is therefore the frontmost application: it doesn't have a window to be maximised.
You would need to specify the actual application to have its window maximised:
tell application "Safari"
activate
set bounds of window 1 to {0, 0, 1280, 800}
end tell
Trying to find out which was the frontmost application before you launched the AppleScript application is going to to be difficult.

I used Professor Jim Menching's AIS materials in fall 2009 before ECC 6.04 was installed and everything worked plug-n-play without too many problems. I tested assigned client after my client provider migrated SAP from ECC 6.0 to 6.04.
I tried to proceeded "receive the product from the vendor" on page 13u2019s step 11 after creating an purchase order, as following:
Logistics> Materials Management > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Follow-on Functions > Logistics Invoice Verification (MIRO)
I tried to save it. However, I got an error message: "Generation successful, but you must call up the function". After I did it one more time, it becomes a runtime error! I am not savvy for dealing with unknown technical problem. Can anyone provide me with a solution to fix problem?
