I took a picture...where is it?

I was editing my brother's contact info and wanted to take a picture of him. I tapped the blank "Add photo" box in order to take a picture. I snapped it and now it's set that to be his photo.
Now I'd like to somehow get access to that photo to stick it on my laptop. It doesn't automatically import into itunes like if I take a picture directly from the camera app.
In Photos I have the "Camera Roll" album but it doesn't include my newly taken photo. How can I get the photo that I want?

Hey pergesu,
You can email the photo as described in the iPhone User Guide:
http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/iPhoneUserGuide.pdf
You can also import the pictures into a photo database application like iPhoto.
Just open iPhoto and look for the camera on the left side in the source list, click it, then click import.

  • How to determine which camera took a picture?

    Hi,
My parents both have Canon Rebel digital cameras and they travel to national parks and other places where they take a lot of pictures. Inevitably, their pictures get jumbled up on their hard drives and then they argue about who took the picture.
Is there a way to determine which camera took a picture with Aperture (or iPhoto)? Also, is there a way to sort the pictures, based on which camera they came from.
I'm hoping that cameras have an IP address like a computer that will allow me to sort the photos.
    Thanks for your help!

In iPhoto make a smart album with camera = "the camera you want"
All the photos taken by that camera will be collected into the album

I got an 15 dollar iTunes card for Christmas. I took a picture of the card code to redem the card I accomplished that but when I try to download an app that cost money it asks me two security questions  that I forgot the awnsers to. Than I click the forgot security questions than it sends it to my email but that's the problem I do not get any email.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of doing so include clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.

Have made back up, but unfortunately a little too late. What to do?
MacBook Pro 15 "late 2008, Processor 2.53 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB, Software Mac OS X 10.7.4 Lion (11E53).

    1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now?

  • Hi there, I pay for extra iCloud space online. However I cannot seem to find any of my photos or account? As my iPod/iPhone only hold 1000 pictures, where are the previous pictures? And how can I access them?

You cannot use iCloud Storage to suppliment your iPad. They are mainly used to backup iPad.
    Free up space on iPad
Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Delete what is not needed to free up space on iPad.

  • How to find out what time I took a picture

A big monster truck's bumper went up onto my car's hood at the grocery store the other week and I snapped a picture of it. Now the lady is claiming that I decided to park my car underneath hers and that my car was not there when she parked. I have my receipt showing I what time I made my purchases but I need additional proof with what time I took the picture.
Does somebody know how to look up what time a picture was taken?

I would also recommend leaving the shot on the iphone untouched (downloaded to a PC is ok). There is EXIF information encoded inside the image that records the iphone's date/time (this is in addition to the file system information that the other poster I beleive is referring to). It is also changeable, though one needs more expertise to do so. The reason I recommend leaving it there is some techniques of getting shots off of cameras (i.e. phones) may remove that info or alter it.
But how does the date/time matter -- clearly the event had occurred, how will a shot after it occurred indicate which came first, your care or her's?

    Hi Giorgiovdb!
Unfortunately I cannot help you; all I did was test for you.
I did an upgrade over my Lion install with Mountain Lion which went fine. I just tested icon view in my Finder on different files and folders and here in my installation all stays fine; good readable like in column view!
The only thing you might try is change your Font in Finder and set it back to the original afterwards!
I quickly Google'd how to change fonts in the Finder as appearantly there's no obvious gui item for it:
    http://usermanifest.wordpress.com/2012/07/06/osx-finder-title-bar-font/
Try to see if it brings you anywhere!
At my post all fonts act normal after my upgrade to Mountain Lion; I don't do a clean install unless I really have to!
    Goodluck!

  • I took a picture and add it to a contact. Now that picture only appears on the contact list but I can't find it anywhere else in the ipod and I can't share it. How do I recover it?

I took a picture a few days ago and I linked it immediately to a contact. Now I'm looking for it in order to share it but it doesn't appear on my pictures, I can only see the small version linked to the contact I assigned it to. Is there a way to recover the full version of that picture in order to share it? Thanks!

    - Did you sync after you took the picture?  If yes could you have copied it to your computer and then deleted it from your iPod?  Have you looked on your computer?
    - Have you tried resetting your iPod?  Nothing will be lost:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If you mean the metadata embedded to a phone, many photo applications support this, such as iPhoto, Adobe Lightroom.

  • Hey good day. i recently made a back up on my phone. then i took some pictures and videos. i accidentally restored the phone. some pictures and videos including pictures from my third party application were all gone. can i still have those back?

hey good day. i recently made a back up on my phone. then i took some pictures and videos. i accidentally restored the phone. some pictures and videos including pictures from my third party application were all gone. can i still have those back?

No. If you restored the device to an older backup, then the device was brought back to that date and time, which was before those photos were taken. When you restored the device, it deleted everything off the phone and replaced it with the earlier information.

  • Hello. I need to define a mesure in a picture: I took a picture of an object with a ruler and I want to signify to photoshop "this segment = 1 cm". How to do? Thank you!

Hello. I need to define a mesure in a picture: I took a picture of an object with a ruler and I want to signify to photoshop "this segment = 1 cm". How to do? Thank you!

That's a good precaution, norm.  It should be no problem is you have an object on a flat surface next to a ruler. It gets trickier in security camera frames.
Anyway that is one example. Anne can look further into the measuring tools of  Photoshop Extended to see if it helps.
A note on the screen resolution thing. When I calculate the screen resolution, I go into Photoshop > Preferences > Units and Rulers
and enter it here in place of the default 72 ppi.  Then when I use View > Print Size, the on-screen rulers will match a physical ruler.
That's if you wanted to look at the actual printed document size onscreen.

  • Took some pictures they showup in my photos but when i click on them there white?

Took some pictures they showup in my photos but when i click on them all i see is white?

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • I accidentally took a picture of my wallpaper!

As I was trying to turn off my iPhone, somehow I accidentally took a picture of my wallpaper.
I am not sure how I did it, but I have the evidence in my camera roll.
