Hi there friends....

Also, anyhere in the city of Melbourne (Yep ,down under) that has a wi-fi connection??
Thanks guys....
omg cool your in melbourne!! trendy! lol. compared to sydney.
anyway, ur wireless modem for your comp should work on your touch definately. and as for the places in melbs with wireless, i believe all Uni's Libraries, Gloria Jeans (?) and McDonalds has wifi. i THINK. not 100percent sure about maccas or macdonalds. libraries and uni's definately.

I want to store ellipse geometry in spatial table. How do I do it ? Or the only way is to construct circular arcs or multi-line segments.
-Girish ShewaleHi Girish,
Oracle spatial doesn't provide a primitive type of ellipse, which leaves you with three options:
1) Use the oracle primitive types to contruct an ellipse (probably a polygon type consisting or straight lines and/or circular arcs).
2) Create your own element type using etype of 0 with whatever information you need to store the coordinates for the ellipse, and add a supported element type which approximates the ellipse so it will be returned appropriately by spatial operators.
3) Create your own element but use a gtype of 0, which means the whole geometry will always be skipped by Oracle spatial routines (won't be indexed, won't be touched by spatial queries).
Hope this helps,

Query field names renamed to Expr1
I recently had things quit working in a newer Access database that has been stable for several months. I tracked it down to field names in the queries changed from a name to "Expr1".
Behaved like this topic:
https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/b92d559b-2ce3-4b37-9939-a2a519b3429b/upgrade-from-2003-to-2010-causing-query-column-name-problems?forum=accessdev
It's in Access 2010 and I did not upgrade, and I did not change any linked tables.
I'm wondering if it had anything to do when I did a Compact and Repair on the database.
Per other articles I have unchecked ALL boxes under Access/Options/Current Database/Name AutoCorrect Options
Thanks for any help you can provide!I had a backup copy so this morning I went through all the queries and found the Expr1 and changed them back. I had no calculated fields, and I didn't change anything in the queries. (I added a new and different query, but that was it.
Didn't touch any other queries, and this happened in all the other queries.)
My main concern is not knowing what caused it, and preventing it from happening again. I'm hoping removing the Name AutoCorrect prevents that.
I appreciate the reply. Thanks! -
Saludos

Hi
Im just about to think about playing with playlists on my Zen Touch 20GB, couple of things though please...
Firstly, do playlists take up much space on your players hard disk at all? Also does the space it takes up differ greatly between a playlist with 0 tracks and a playlist with 9000 tracks?
Secondly, is there a limit to the number of tracks you can have in a single playlist?
Lastly, is there a limit to the number of playlists you can store on your player?
Ooo, also lastly, Is it better to make the playlist in Mediasource and then copy it across or just do it on the player?
Thanks a load folks

Certainly nothing significant, don't worry about it.
Secondly, is there a limit to the number of tracks you can have in a single playlist?
I believe there is, but it's pretty vast and very rare to encounter.
Lastly, is there a limit to the number of playlists you can store on your player?
Again I believe there is and it's one of those classic powers of 2 e.g. 256. Again, more than enough for normal use.
Ooo, also lastly, Is it better to make the playlist in Mediasource and then copy it across or just do it on the player?
Personally I ALWAYS use the software, just comes down to personal preference though. -
Cannot restore iPod Touch 2G - stuck on "operation 28" case #108375671
iPod Touch 2G with 8GB, got it from Apple Store last week.
I tried restore on 3 different computers - 2 laptops and 1 desktop, running XP SP2 and Vista. Resintalled iTunes(latest version) and Apple Mobile Device drivers a few times. Also created new accounts to restore. None of these works.
Most of the time iTune stuck on the "Waiting for iPod..." screen. Checked the iPodUpdater.log and found the restore process stuck on "operation 28 progress -1" forever. Operations 4, 42, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 3, and then 4 seems to be successful. iTune was also able to read the SerialNubmer and Hardware model.

Looks like this one passed "Operation 28" but failed on "Operation 11".
There is always an error message on the file "device_map.txt" - which it does not exists
Contacted Apple Care and talked to 2nd line support. 2nd line support said they don't know how to interpret the log file. The log file can only be interpreted by the engineer.
Apple Engineer: is this a hardware problem?Hey Ghost Shell,
This article provides general tips that may resolve the issue.
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275
Make sure the iPod is directly connected to a high-speed USB port on the PC and not plugged into a hub, monitor, or keyboard. You can also disconnect any other USB devices, other than the keyboard and mouse.
Try putting the iPod into recovery mode again and restoring as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
If the issue persists after trying the tips above, the iPod may need hardware repair. Make a reservation to have a Genius at a local Apple retail store take a look at it or call AppleCare.

Erratic Report Region Behavior with Dynamic SQL Queries
I'm running HTMLDB v 1.5.1.00.12 and I've noticed some odd behavior with report regions using dynamic SQL queries. Every so often, our testers will run a page containing a dynamic sql report region and get the following error, (despite the fact the query was working only moments ago and no other developer has touched it):
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
or sometimes
failed to parse SQL query:ORA-01403: no data found
The only solution I've found so far is to:
1) Make a copy of the failed report region.
2) Disable or delete the original failed report region.
The new copy of the report region runs without issue.
My search of the forums turned up the following two threads, but neither provided me with a clear explanation of the cause, and how to avoid it:
ORA-06502:PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
Re: Import Export Error (ORA-06502)
The columns being returned are below the 4000 character limit, and the rows being returned are far less than 32k in size.
Could this have anything to do with the way HTMLDB is internally storing the PL/SQL used to generate the dynamic SQL Query? Is there any known issue related to this with that version of HTMLDB?
This problem occurs without any discernable pattern or consistency, making it hard to determine where I should focus my efforts in tracking down the cause.Hi all,
My report seems to be behaving correctly once i set it to "Use Generic Column Names (parse query at runtime only)" :)
Cheers,
Joel -
Problem installing firmware 2.2 on first generation iPod touch 8GB
I recently tried to update my iPod touch from firmware 2.1 to 2.2. However, the install failed and restoring it (to 2.2) failed as well. On a different PC I tried the same. I managed to restore version 1.1.5 of the firmware on it. Unfortunately an upgrade to 2.2 failed on this PC as well.
The symptoms: the software is apparently unpacked correctly and downloaded to the device. However, during the verification stage, the iPod suddenly disconnects and reconnects and iTunes reports an error (error code 6).
Are there known issues with this firmware that can cause this?
Below is one of iPodUpdater log files:

OSX Yosemite + iTunes 12 no longer sees iPad or iPod Touch
I have an iMac (2013 model) which I recently upgraded to Yosemite. All went smoothly. iTunes was also upgraded to the latest version.
Having bought some new music, I wanted to sync my iPad (3, retina) and iPod Touch with the playlists / music. However, neither of them are picked up by iTunes when I connect directly to the iMac via the USB cable. This is the same USB cable used previously (and which still works for my Windows PC).
I followed the trouble-shooting steps of restarting both devices, iTunes and the iMac, but no change. All the latest upgrades are applied to the iPad and the iMac, although the iPod Touch remains on the old 3.1.3 software which is the latest software for this device.
Does anybody have any ideas?
Many thanks
GuyLaunch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

New iPod touch stopped working (recovery mode)
Hi!
I bought a 8 GB iPod Touch 2 weeks ago. It worked fine until today. I left US yesterday and arrived in Europe today.
After the flight I tried to switch on my iPod and its started in recovery mode.
iTunes said I need to restore and upgrade the iPod.
The restore process starts, an Apple logo appears on the screen and a progress circle is moving on the bottom, and iTunes sais "Waiting for iPod...", but nothing happens.
What can I do in this case? I already tried it on a different computer with the same result.
The software version was 1.1.3 when I bought it, and iTunes updated it when I attached it to the computer for the first time to 1.1.4.
Thx,
DersNow I found the iPod Updater.log file. It sais:

Keyboard Marks on Laptop Screen, Do I Need a Cover for my U430 Touch?
I was online recently and noticed some ultrabook users talking about how having their ultrabook in a bag with a lot of other things had pressed the keyboard of it against the screen, creating stain marks. I'm a bit concerned this might happen with my U430 Touch as I will be keeping textbooks in with it, however, they will be behind it, but will be seperated by a thin layer of the bag. Has anyone heard of this happening and should I invest in a keyboard cover sheet in order to prevent this?
Thanks in advance!
PS: I love the U430 Touch, GO LENOVO!!!

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
As per the issue you have provided if the laptop is pressurized in the bag and as it is a touch screen model there might be chances of keyboard marks, I would suggest you to use a keyboard protection to avoid the further damages.
Do post us back for further queries.

Last time I synced my ipod touch it ofered me an update for the pod that could take about an hour , I did it and now it doesnt search properly . When I used the Artist tab at the bottom of my ipod before it would find every single song on the ipod by that artist (ie it searched by TRACK Artist) . Now it only find the songs by any given artist that are on Albums by that Artist (ie it searches by ALBUM Artist) What that means is it wont find any song by any Artist on a Various Artist CD . HAS ANYNOE ELSE GOT THIS PROBLEM OR A SOLUTION?
