I tried a trial version of software of a previously owned product

I can no longer use the older version of the software at all going forward. Is there anything I can do to go back to use the original version of the software package?

Check the receipts and preferences folders.
These may contain setting info about the trial software that prevents the full and/or previous versions being installed.
Receipts are found in two folders
1. Hdd/Library/Receipts
2. User/Library/Receipts
Preferences (Plist files) are in
1. Hdd/Library/Preferences
2 USer/Library/Preferences.
Search for and delete files that reference the said software name and/or authors.
Reboot your Mac and try again to install the software.

  • I have purchased CC but it is only letting me download trial versions of software.

My friend purchased a 1 year subscription to CC and has given me the activation code. I redeemed this code, but when I go to download any software like photoshop or premiere it tells me its only the 30 day trial version.

  • I tried the trial version of photoshop and never really got to use it and now some months later I'm getting interested in photography but don't have so much money. was wondering if i could get one more chance.

is it possible to get a new trial because i didn't get to use the first one

You can always try an older trial version as the basis for your decision since it won't be too much different from the subscription version.

  • Purchasing Extension Builder 2.1 After Trying the Trial Version: Must I Re-Install?

A few months ago, I installed the trial version of Extension Builder 2.1. The trial has expired.
So i went to buy a license. I got back a serial number.
I assumed that the Extension Builder would include some activiation dialog in which I would enter the serial number and continue on my merry way. Couldn't find it.
From the wording on the site, it would appear that I need to re-download and re-install Extensino Builder 2.1. That take a long time and I've esperienced probelms installing it in the past.
Is there a way to enter the serial number instead of reinstalling?
    TIA,

    No. They are different builds.

  • Requesting old Apple account for software updates on previously owned MacBook Pro

I recently got a previously owned MacBook. When I go to App Store, Updates. and click "update" on one of the software packages, I get a message:
You have updates available for other accounts. Sign in to Other.Person'[email protected] to update applications for that account.
This is preventing me from updating the Final Cut Pro software on the computer.
    Suggestions?

Delete it and then download it from your Apple ID.

  • Trial versions

Is it true that most applications (especially the more expensive ones) do not offer trial/demo versions? For example, I am trying to decide on a birding field guide out of several choices. iBird offers a free app that has data on 15 birds (as opposed to over 800 in their full app) but I can find no such app for National Geographic, Audubon, or Sibley's field guides. Am I correct that there is really no way to demo these apps to compare them?

OK, now I recognize the obvious, that there is no way to test most iPod apps. Thus, I marked my question as answered. However, as almost all PC shareware applications have trial or demo versions, as do/did Palm mobile apps, is there anything in the Apple iTunes business model that discourages Trial versions of software?

  • Decided not to buy iwork '09 after downloading trial version, now what?

I downloaded the trial version and decided it was not worth $80 (call me cheap, but I'm a student, thats a lot of money). Anyway, during the 30 day trial I created many documents (some over 100 pages). I thought I was saving them as pages 08 docs, but obviously I did something wrong because none of them will open in the 08 version.
While this is probably obvious to most, I have only recently switched to a mac. The only way I can edit/save is to open up the (read only) version in pages 09 and then copy/paste it to a new 08 document.
I have about 200 documents I created in the 09 version and the whole copy/paste routine would not bother me, except when I paste the text, the formatting gets so messed up. So, the question now is...if I were to delete the 09 version, what is going to happen to all of my documents?? Right now, I have to run both versions at the same time in order to find anything, clearly an inefficient system.
I am getting really frustrated and hope that someone can figure out what I am talking about. I never would have tried the trial version if I knew this would happen. I feel like apple is coercing me into purchasing their software.

    Hi wmlaw2011,
    Welcome to Pages '09 discussions.
If Badunit's suggestion doesn't work for you then you have two choices, purchase iWork '09 or, find someone that has iWork '09 then for all your files ask them to do File > Save as Pages '08.
Student from the beginning of time complained about finances however, they always found the money to do the important things that needed to be accomplish; parties, games, dates, eating out, shopping, etc.. So in my opinion $80 isn't a big deal

  • Problem Downloading Trial Version of Lightroom 4 from Adobe Site

    Problem dow
I am having problem downolading a trial version of Lightroom 4 from the Adobe site. It appears that I can download trial versions of any other digital photography-related product but not of Lightroom 4. About 2 weeks ago I downloaded the trial version of Adobe Elements and I have been getting familiar with it. I have to make a decision on the best product for my needs.
I went to Vistek shop in Ottawa yesterday and one of the specialist told me that maybe Lightroom would better meet my needs. Prior to purchasing, I am trying to test both product to understand the fundamental differences. For some reason, when I go to the download site ( https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_lightroom) and click on the download button, nothing happens. Given that I am a System's Engineer by trade, I thought that perhaps I cannot install 2 trial copies of adobe products on a single workstation so I tried downloading Lightroom 4 from 3 different PC/laptops but got the same results...
Can anybody help. This is a bit frustrating given that the Adobe element trial is coming to an end (about 2 weeks) and I want to proceed with purchasing the RIGHT PRODUCT...

The link, just above, is the latest update to LR 4.2 which may work fine.
About the original trial download page you had issues with, it does take a few seconds for the download button to become active, and once you click it, it takes a few more seconds for either a login pop to come up or the download, itself, to start, so maybe you have a popup blocker enabled or some security that doesn’t allow the download to occur.  You might try a different browser.  The following link is what the download attempts to use, but you need to have signed in to your Adobe account before trying to use it, I think:

  • License Key for SAP NW 7.0 - Java Trial Version on Linux - VMware Edition

    Hello,
I've downloaded the [SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - Java Trial Version on Linux - VMware Edition|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/7005cdbf-ba8b-2a10-81b0-ebcfe8061f8f]. I've installed it and got it running with the SLES VMWare Version George pointed me to in this [Forum Topic|Where to download SLES10 SP1 SAP Version?;. It seems that the default License is already expiered and the server stops after 30 minutes. I tried to get a License Key from https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap/bc/bsp/spn/minisap/minisap.htm but there is no selection for the Instance Name CTB. Has anyone tried this Trial Version before?
    Regards
    Gregor

    Dear Hannes,
I assume the same is valid also for the VMWare version of NetWeaver which includes ABAP: [SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - Java and ABAP Trial Version on Linux - VMware Edition|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/webcontent/uuid/102c6e47-cd8e-2a10-8b96-a2102923212f [original link is broken]]
Could you please initiate to put registration options for this evaluation system onto the license page, too - thanks already in advance.
    Kind regards

  • TRIAL VERSION DOWNLOAD

Synching 1/2 hour of audio to 100 powerpoint slides was a
disaster in the trial version I downloaded. Audio went on its own
to the rear of the Audacity file and the ppt would lose a slide
from time to time. We bought 2 licenses and those were being used
by developers on 2 laptops - but to get more production out we put
2 people on trial versions. We now think trial versions are
corrupted. Has anyone else found this to be true? Was it the sheer
size of the project too large for the trial version - or for
Captivate for that matter? Is there a size limitation to Captivate
that we whould know about? Any clues are
    appreciated!!!!!!!!!

    Hi again
Many software products are issued updates after initial
release. However, in the case of Captivate, the trial is fully
functional and you aren't hindered whatsoever other than the time
you have to use it before you are expected to buy a license.
I think your use of the term "valid end product" is a bit
subjective here. Here's why I say that. Anything you create with
the trial version isn't really a "valid end product". It should
function without issue, but it should not be distributed and used.
I believe there is a time limit where even if you never purchased
the license, you wouldn't be able to view the output as the date
    would be expired.
But other than that it should be functional.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Problem with trial version line over my project

I have bougth the normal version after trying the trial version.
The promblem is that the trial line stays in my project.
    How can I remove it?
    thanks fot helping

    shutr1
If the Adobe watermark is in one of your projects that you created during the tryout, the classical approach is to delete the rendered files.
You can use Timeline Menu/Delete Rendered Files for that purpose after you open the purchased Premiere Elements.
You cannot delete the Adobe watermark from an export that you have generated from the tryout.
Please let us know if that information works for you.
    Thank you.

  • Acrobat 8 not printing after 10 trial version removal

I am a long time user of Acrobat 8 Standard. I tried the trial version of Acrobat  10 Pro and decided not to upgrade. After reinstalling Acrobat 8, the PDF printer does not work. I can "Save As" PDF but not print to PDF. How can I repair it. Acrobat Update says there are no updates.

If the repair does not do the job, you may have to do the reinstall. If you do, be sure to delete the Acrobat folder and run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html before doing the install.

  • Project files don't open after Trial Version

After trying the trial version of Final Cut Pro X on my home computer I took the external hard drives to my editor, who has a purchase version of FCPX, but now none of the project files will open.
Does apple put some kind of lock on project files once opened by the trial version? All updates are already installed.
    Might anyone have a solution?
    Many thanks,
    Paul

IIn the File menu. Update Projects and Events. The Final Cut Projects and Final Cut Events folders need to be in the correct location to be recognize by the application. There is some information here about updating

THere is a lot more information elsewhere on the web.

  • Trial version, is a clean uninstall possible?

I tried the trial version (Japanese) of Acrobat 8. After I finished the trial period and uninstalled it, it left a lot of stuff behind.
Now I have problems printing from Reader (v.7, English, with Japanese fonts also installed). Random characters are missing, and the missing ones are different each time.
Also, Reader will no longer open up in the browser (IE6.1) when I click on a pdf file on the internet.
These things worked before. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Reader, but things do not get better. I can only assume that, among the junk left behind by the trial version, that there is something that is now interfering with the operation of Reader.
Is there a way to get rid of all the junk that the dirty uninstall of the trial version left behind?
    Thanks

Hi. I looked at that, but it is only for XP and Vista. I'm still on W2k, so I couldn't use that. (Acrobat seems to be the only program from Adobe now which will run on W2k).
I did find some info in the knowledgebase about uninstalling Acrobat Standard and Reader by hand. I've done what I could, although I haven't gotten around to re-installing Reader yet.
However, before I uninstalled Reader 7, I have checked printing on this and another computer, using various files. I can say this:
    - no problem with the printer
    - no problem printing with other applications on this computer
    - no problem printing old PDF files made by other people (manuals and such) on this computer with Reader 7 (the version I just uninstalled).
    - no problem printing PDF files which I made on this computer using either the trial version of Acrobat 8, or PDFCreator, on the other computer, using the same version of Reader 7
    - the only problem is printing those PDF files made on this computer, using either the trial version of Acrobat 8 or PDFCreator, on this computer.
Conclusion: It has to have something to do with the junk that was left behind. Something on this computer is messing up the printing from Reader, but only for PDF files made on this computer.
Whether I can solve this by uninstalling manually, I don't know yet.
I don't know what to think of this, except that I am not at all impressed.
