"A required iTunes component is not installed. Please repair or reinstall iTunes. (-42404). How do I repair iTunes?
I tried re-running the install program I downloaded; but, it stated there was a more current version on my system. So it wouldn't allow that to occur.

Guess what i pressed sleep/wake button for like 7 secs and home button and the screen went off on my ipod touch and i turned on again and i have everything and if you saw my last post my ipod touch froze and i coudnt fix it and i tried to restore and got error 1602

HT4714 I downloaded a trial copy o final cut pro x. Download was fine and I opened the program and go the editing screen-it looked fine. I tried to open this morning and got error code 600, what happened?

I opened final cut pro x after the trial download and all was okay. I tried this morning and got the 600 error code message.

Tried to upgrade to iOS4 and got error while restoring i pod.

This is the message. It takes me to no solutions and only confirms my view that Adobe Digital Solutions is a rubbish programme that editors should avoid like the plague.
Can anyone tell me how to solve this one. Clearly Adobe are not interested

I figured it out! I changed my email & password at the icloud site, then when I deleted the icloud account on my iphone - it still showed my old email but when i typed in my current password it went through. I was then able to sign back in with my current email and password. That was too easy for the amount of time I have put into this! Glad its finally fixed.

If you want to Restore iPhone Firmware. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable. Then hold both home and power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. This usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Then click Restore button of iTunes.

I tried connecting to iTunes and neither the PC nor iTunes recognizes the device. I went through all the troubleshooting on the Apple website for this issue and nothing worked. I've reinstalled iTunes, the driver, everything and still can't get either the PC or iTunes to recognize the phone. I don't know what else to do :-( any help or suggestions are highly appreciated!
I would hate to have lost all my info, especially contacts and calendar items since I have no idea what was backed up prior to the phone getting locked on this screen. I've been told that my only option is to go to the phone carrier and they will reset it for me, but that means it will wipe out all the info.
I hope someone has a fix other than that one.
