I tried it and it works great!

I have my notebook for 4 days now, lastnight i touched the screen by accident and it made a mark. I took a napkin and wet it alittle and started rubbing the mark in a circular motion.
Then i stopped buffing it and removed the napkin only to see it got worse, now it was a huge dull looking blemish round circle. I tried with new napkin to clean but it wouldnt remove!!!
Today I ordered iklear, its being shipped but im so impatient i had to remove it today when i got home from work. So heres what i did.
Get a napkin, like Brawney paper towel soak it with water
Rinse it..get the water out of the napkin.
- Add 4 drops of "Dish Liquid Soap" to the napkin. (aka: Polmolive)
- Run napkin under the sink to make it soapy/suds.
- Squeeze water out napkin and gently in a vertical motion rub the screen/display marks/blemish until u see it disappear.
- Then get a dry napkin and in a vertical motion dry that sucker.
NOTE: The soap may leave a white haze at first when dried, if so, get another napkin and wet it alittle, and in vertical motion remove the soap film with the wet napkin, then just grab a dry napkin and buff to a shine. Works Flawless!!

That should work just fine, but I would strongly recommend that you NOT use any paper products for cleaning your screen. Paper is remarkably abrasive and will scratch the display.
Use a cotton cloth or even a microfiber cloth instead.

Sorry your experience wasn't a plesant one, but most of the issues they work on are hardware in nature, not software.. I'm not taking up for Apple... I'd had my share of run-ins with them as well.
As for your iTunes issue... an EASY solution is to simply tell iTunes that the location you want your tunes stored in is your Public folder. Items in your public folder can be seen and opened by others, so your wife could easily access the files there.
For you, go to your Music folder, find the iTunes folder, and drag it to your public folder.
Next, go to iTuness>Preferences and click on the Advanced tab, then the General Tab, and the first window you see is the iTunes Music Folder Locataion. Click Change, then navigate to the iTunes folder in you Public folder.
Now, next time you purchase a song from the iTunes store, or import songs from a CD, they will be stored in the iTunes folder, in your public folder.
You wife does basically the same thing except she navigates to YOUR public folder, and the iTunes folder inside.
She will have to manually find and import any new songs you add but at least your entire library will be available for her to listen to.
There are other ways of getting the same thing done, but I think this is the easiest.

Try turning down the speak volume (System Preferences->Sound->Output->Output Volume) or the microphone gain (System Preferences->Sound->Input->Input Volume). Do this on both sides of the call.

Or it could simply have been sold by someone that didn't know enough to wipe it.
You could check with the police, see if they have it listed as stolen.
If you can get into the settings of that ipad you can 'erase all content and settings' and start fresh.

Just got a new imac and it works great

Just got my imac week 00 and it works great. have not seen one flickero or yellow tinge issue. The hard drive is a segate and it is very quiet. I just love the computer.
P.S. what should my first piece of software for it be?

If you are new to Macs you may well have lots of ?'s .. run your Mac as it is until you are happy with the unit, then add. The Repair Permissions facility (Applications-Utilities-Disk Utility) is a useful tool, when I first went over to Macs I was told, Repair Permissions Before & After ALL Updates..

I have deleted and created the account several times. I have checked the status of the account and it's active and works either from safari or from my Mac or iPhone. I have turned off both my Mac and my iPhone as not to have competing devices, I can even send emails from the account successfully. It simply won't download the content of the inbox. Help!

Hi Csound1, thanks. The email host is 1and1.co.uk, however, i am going to fess up and make myself look like a plonker now -
the email account in question was set up in Outlook as POP - stupid, stupid, stupid me, wasted an afternoon on this! I have now changed the Outlook account to IMAP and Mail.app works perfectly - and looks much nicer than Outlook did. Im in the middle of converting from Windows to a Mac, and still finding my way around the Mac
The lesson learned, never assume - always double check! All my other email addresses with 1and1 are all imap, except this one, and it happened to be the first one I set up in the Mail.app. (bows head in disgrace!)

thank u 4 yr help , i have managed to do it after all. i downloaded the iphone 3gs ios 4.2 manual and it explained everything i had to do on there ... all i had to do was put my sim into phone ,then connect usb lead and then open my i tunes , i clicked on my iphone and went into summery and straight away it synchronized my phone and yay up popped my sim card and ready to use ('',) many thanks though 4 yr help wendy

That's really a question for you to answer yourself, changing an email address may not be the best of ideas if it's well known to others. On the other hand iCloud mail is an IMAP account (it syncs between devices) which may be an advantage if your current address is just a POP account.
I use my iCloud address for secondary mail in conjunction with my main address.

I had that happen with a MacBook. It turned out that the metal case above the slot was slightly bent down.
Putting a flat blade screwdriver in the slot and gently twisting it to move the metal case up allowed it to eject. Don't put it in too far you only want to bend the case not the drive.
The case can get bent down by picking it up with your thumb pressing down on the case above the slot.

AirPlay Mirroring requires a Mid 2011 or newer MacBook Air. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5404 If it's compatible, you have two possibilities:
1. Make a backup, open App Store and purchase Mountain Lion. Then, you will be able to turn on AirPlay on System Preferences > Displays.
2. Keep with OS X Lion and use AirParrot > http://www.airparrot.com

I had major issues with the iPhone 4s battery, however it’s resolved.
The tech who set the phone up at the Apple store did so with little training.
if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.
