Try to sign out of iTunes and sign back in, that usually fixes authentication problems.

Although you say you have let the battery drain, was it for long enough? Since nothing else that you've tried so far has worked, I suggest that you leave the iPod unplugged for at least four days, preferably a week. That way, if something is stopping the iPod from turning the screen on, then whatever it is will drain the battrey. However, since the screen isn't on, that may take longer than if the screen was on.
Then, after that time, plug the iPod into a power source and leave it alone for at least thirty minutes. Only after thirty minutes will it show any signs of life, but you should leave it until it is fully charged before trying to use it.
If you get to this stage, the fact that the battery has drained will cause the iPod to reset when it springs back to life.

Not sure what happend there. But ATV only streams, no HD so if you leave it too long, the whole download gets lost.

It also says that "your account information has changed. Please review your account and email address and approve them for use in the itunes store." It happens EVERY time I buy a new song, a new album, anything. Even if I buy an album and five minutes later, without closing itunes, buy another one, I have to go through this whole process. If you're using a first generation iPod touch, it is up to date. The higher iOS versions require a newer model.

Since the ipad, and all apple mobile devices do not have the file structure like on a computer the sites aren't able to locate your file.
Many job sites and employers allow you to 'copy and paste' your resume into a text box on their site.
If they have an email option, then that would be best.
I'm not aware of an app the will allow you to upload your resume. But this seems to be a poplular queston so there might be something in the app store.

One of my cameras has an SD card but the other one doesn't have a card that would fit in any of the camera devices I've seen on line. Realted to this, I bought the IPad camera accessory. Can I put the SD card in the device and also hook the external hard drive to the USB port of the accessory and download from the camera to the hard drive? Can I put Lightroom or the Nikon photo editing software on the IPad? Right now I carry a PC laptop and external hard drives with me on wildernes trips. Internet and WiFi are not available. No, the camera connection kit only supports the copying of photos and videos to the Photos app, it doesn't support copying content off the iPad. For your second camera instead of the SD reader part of the kit, does the iPad to camera cable not work with it for direct transfer to the iPad ?
For Lightroom and Nikon software again no - you can only install apps that are available in the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app on the iPad, 'normal' PC and Mac (OS X) software are not compatible with the iPad (iOS). There are some apps that perform fairly basic editing functions that are available in the store, but nothing as sophisticated as, for example, Lightroom.
