I tried to download Mavericks now my computer keeps restarting
I tried to install Mavericks, but now my computer keeps restarting over and over again. I can start it in safe mode. I went to Disk Utilities and reparied everything I could. When I run diagnostics it says the system is ok so i dont think it crashed. I even looked at panic kernels. I also tried to Reinstall Mavericks. I am at a lost before I have to factory restore. What else can I do?
Be certain your Mac can run Mavericks > OS X Mavericks: System Requirements
Which OS X is installed on your Mac ?
Click the Apple () menu top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac.
The version is noted there.

Try reinstalling OS X Mavericks to see if that resolves the random restarts on your MacBook Pro.

If you are asking how to authorise your iTunes account on that computer, then you do so via the Store drop-down menu at the top of iTunes (pressing Alt-S should get the Store menu to appear) - this screenshot is from a Mac, but it should be fairly similar on windows 8 :

Exactly which model/year is yours and does it meet the system requirements for Mavericks?
http://www.apple.com/osx/specs/
A minimum of 4 GB RAM is recommended as well as enough hard drive space. -
i bought a mac air yesterday and i was trying to download maverick but i could not do it, i try to download the old version of numbers because i needed for work, but i could not neither, but now when i check to download numbers is asking for to pay?
You are mixing different issues. I will address Numbers.
Has Numbers ever been installed on this new Mac? Did you have the Mac App Store version of Numbers or did you have the DVD version of Numbers?
You should be able to redownload a previous purchase of the Mac App Store version of Numbers from the Purchases pane after signing into your account.
If you had the DVD version, then you will need to install that from the DVD media. -
Downloaded mavericks, now I cannot log into my computer???
downloaded mavericks, now I cannot log into my computer???
I finally figured it out. I had always been able to login with just my Account Name. Now I have to use the email address of the account name. Not sure why that is. So I just added "@xxxx.com" to the Account Name and now it works. I don't have an a Mobileme associated with the Account Name.

I have been trying to download Maverick on to my 2012 MacAir. It gets to 996MB and stops. A message says there has been an error in the download and to go to purchases and try again. It's the same every time I try.
Any ideas?Hi Guys:-
If this SAME problems is effecting us all then suspect its not IPS problem as we all get problem at 995.6MB.
I would think that there is some kind of software conflict. If we all having this problem just think of how many users have the same but are not on this discussion board, bet you its 100s and 100s.
Not possible for me to visit store now but will monitor your responce's.
Good luck guys, lets make um give us a fix:- I will call them tomorrow and see what they say:- should point support to this Discussion page and they can answer us !
Cheers and good luck also -
I have just about given up trying to download Mavericks for my 6-month old iMac running OS X 10.8.5. Each time it gets to around 996mb and stops. Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks Giancarlo. The problem turned out to be my modem/wireless router, which has now been replaced and the problem solved.

I'm trying to download Mavericks to my i-Mac for the fourth time and it just says 'Paused' and won't budge - Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Hello AdeShaw,
You may need to restart the computer, if you haven't done so already. Should that fail to resolve the issue, we've an article that can help resume the download.

I have tried to download Mavericks on my 2010 iMac(10.6.8), but nothing happens, not even the install app downloads, also I tried to download chrome, I moved it to the applications folder and when I opened the folder it wasn't there. I have a 1tb hard drive that is mostly empty. By the way I just got this imac used from a reseller.
Mavericks downloads into the Applications folder, where you can install it. Some Mac App Store Troubleshooting information and how to resume a download that was interrupted; some of the information here might get you an answer. Failing that, try contacting Apple Support.

I get the following error message when trying to download ITunes on my computer running Windows XP - Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple Application Support\CFNetwork.dll
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with installing the latest iTunes update. I recommend the following article for the issue you described:
