I tried to install Adobe Acrobat Pro on my Macbook OS X 10.6.8

It didn't work and kept giving me errors and then I would report it using the install report and never heard anything back about it.
I thought I would be contacted at least to see what the problem was.
I cancelled my subscription as a result and since it never installed properly I believe I am entitled to a full refund.

Hi sarab522 ,
Sorry for the delay in response, I would be more than happy to get the issue resolved for you. Please, help me with the workflow you are following and a screen shot of the error.
Thanks,
Vikrantt Singh

  • Error when trying to install Adobe Acrobat Pro, recently purchased.

Recently purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro, when trying to install get an error message 'Your account subscription cannot be validated'. Have tried several times, double checked login etc, but same message each time.
Please help, how to fix this issue??

    Hi camelon,
Please delete the "Acrobat" and "OOBE" folders found in
    on Mac: <yourusername>/Library/Application Support/Adobe
    on Windows XP: <youruser>\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe
    on Windows 7: <youruser>\AppData\Local\Adobe
and delete the "Acrobat" folder found in
    on Mac: <yourusername>/Library/Preferences
    on Windows XP: <youruser>\Local Settings\
    on Windows 7: <youruser>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
Then launch Acrobat. It will go through the first launch experience of asking for UI language, AdobeID, etc.
If there's no change in behavior, please attempt to go to:
    https://na1mbls.licenses.adobe.com
If you can't get to this website there may be a firewall or other software blocking the connection. Acrobat must be able to reach this https URL and 3 others in order to complete and monitor the subscription/trial process.
If you can view the page at this URL, then please send the PDApp.log and amt3.log file from
    on Mac: <yourusername>/Library/Logs/PDApp.log
    on Windows 7: <youruser>\AppData\Local\Temp
    to [email protected]

  • Trying to install adobe acrobat pro 9 on a new laptop after deactivating it on old laptop. After installation I get Update check for some reason then doesn't let me go any further Anyone know why this is?

OK so I have deactivated and uninstall the version off the old laptop, then reinstalled the version on the new laptop. When you go to open a document it says it wants to do an upgrade check for some reason, anyone know why this is? It will not take the serial number after that and it doesn't show the version we have in the drop down list.

    Hi johnb49273320,
What operating system are you running on the new laptop? If it's a current OS, then it may be incompatible with Acrobat 9. Please see https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements-acrobat-family-prod ucts.html.
It could also be that you're trying to install an upgrade, and the installer is looking for the serial number for the previous version (is the previous version listed in the drop-down list?).
    Best,
    Sara

Trying to update Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, but it's been stuck at 35% for a little over a day?

    Hi mattwillball,
Could you please let me know what version of OS are you using.
You might need to refer the following KB doc link for issue where Acrobat download and install process is stuck at 35% on MAC:
    Installation Prompt to Close SafariNotificati
If this does not help, then please let me know if you get any other error message when installation is stuck.
    Hope to hear from you.

  • Installing Adobe Acrobat Pro - Error 1317 or 1310

Ok, this is a complicated back-story.  Wasting third day trying to setup my old PC for my mom (new one coming tomorrow).
So first I did a clean XP install on one partition.  Then through it installed windows 7 on second partition.
On the Win7 partition, first time I tried to installed Adobe Acrobat Professional I got an error during install.  I think it was 1310.  Then I decided to try to install Office 2003, got same error about 20% through.  Very strange.  I messed with some folder permissions, ran as administrator, even tried creating an administrator account and installing in there, same result.
Then I decided to re-install everything again from scratch.  Formatted the disk, made new partitions, installed XP, installed Win7 Pro.  Tried to install office 2003 first, that worked.
Then tried to install Acrobat 8 Pro again, error 1310.  Then download Acrobat 9 Pro from Adobe to see if a newer version might do the trick.  Similar error 1317, this on about attempting to create a directory in program files\adobe\acrobat9.0\designer8.2\de\templates.
Interestingly, the story doesn't stop there.  After one of these errors happens, I think it causes some sort of file system error.  One time I got a baloon setup_wm (if I remember right) something about file system being corrupt and unstable.  And if I try to open a browser after that things don't work.  If I reboot, it runs chkdsk and everything seems fine after, but no matter what I try I can't get passed that error.
    Any ideas?

I had a failure to install Acrobat Pro 8 on a windows 7 machine with several tries and failing with Error 1310 every time until I did this:
start->type uac in the run box then clik on "Change user account control settings" located at the top of the list
drag the slider all the way to the bottom, this turns UAC off
    restart the computer
install your software and get any updates needed
the turn uac back on and restart
    worked for me

  • Can't install Adobe Acrobat Pro 9

I purchased CS5 about 18 months ago and have recently had the need to install Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, which came with it. However, the disc isn't being read and I can't find anywhere to download Acrobat Pro 9 in order to use the serial number. Please advise! I need it quite urgently.

I am in the same situation.  I have a legal copy of Adobe Acrobat Preo 9, but can no longer read the disk I made when I first downloaded it.  I downloadeD Adobe Acrobat  9 extended and tried a friends copy of Adobe Acrobat 9 standard.  Neither of them would accept my seria number, which I downloaded from My Adobe.  Dealing with Adobe is ftustrating.

  • Installing Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 on a new laptop, but it doesn't accept my serial number

    Hello,
On my old laptop I had installed and licensed Adobe Acrobat Pro 9. I retired my old laptop and bought a new one. I want to install Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 now on the new one. But seemingly my serial number is not accepted any more. That's what I did so far
    1. Downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-8-9-product-downloads.html
    2. Retrieved my serial number from Adobe ID (it matched what I have found out locally on my old computer)
    2. Started the installation
    3. Entered my serial number when asked for. Then I get a message "Invalid Serial Number"
    Who can help please?
    Best regards,
    Dr. Rolf Schlagenhaft (Freescale Semiconductor)

RolfSchlagenhaft there are no registered Adobe software titles under the account you are posting to the Adobe forums with.  You will want to attempt to locate the account which has your registered serial number.  You can find more details at Find your serial number quickly - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html.  If you need assistance locating the account which contains your serial number then please contact our support team at Contact Customer Care.
Finally if you have a volume license for Acrobat 9 Professional then the installation files are only available at https://licensing.adobe.com/.  The installation files you downloaded are for the retail version of Acrobat 9 Professional.  This may be another cause of you receiving the message that your serial number is invalid.

  • Installing Adobe Acrobat Pro on Laptop & New PC

Previously submitted on 9/02/12 but pressed for an answer quickly, please.
I have previously installed Adobe Acrobat Pro on a laptop and a desktop computer. I had to replace the desktop with a new system having Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.  I have installed the Windows XP Virtual system to run several legacy programs crucial to my business.  I have installed Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5 in the Windows 7 operating system and now need it installed in the XP Virtual system to access the Adobe printer for use with the legacy programs. How do I accomplish this feat?
Does the XP virtual installation count as a 3rd installation which is not allowed by my license even though this computer is the 2nd computer permitted by my license? If so, it seems I might be penalized.
Help, please. Is there an option in lieu of purchasing a new license?
Thanks in advance for all responses.
    Ralph Gardner
