I tried to install iOS 7 and now my phone won't turn on?
Well, around 3 hours ago I tried to install iOS 7. It said I didn't have enough space so I deleted mostly all of my apps, all my music, all my photos and all my videos. It then said I had enough space so I went to install it. It kept saying error over and over again so I tried restarting my phone (which is an iPhone 4) and then it went all wrong. It just stayed on the Apple logo and never went off it. I asked around and I was told to do a hard reboot (I hold down the off and home button for 10 seconds, then lift my finger off the off button until the logo comes on again and links with my iTunes). I did this and it linked with my iTunes but it won't download iOS 7 from it (it says it has "40 hours remaining" or something ridiculous but doesn't budge - it wants to download iOS7 from iTunes when I am trying to recover my iPhone) because after waiting for a while, an error pops up. It's just a vicious cycle with nothing at all changing and it's really annoying me now. Can anyone help? It's getting late and I *REALLY* need this phone for tomorrow.

If it won't talk at all to iTunes, you can hold down the power and home button for 10 seconds, it will power off, this is ok, then let go of the power button while holding the home button until iTunes sees it as a device in recovery mode. You can try to reinstall iOS7 and then restore.

First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

Hi there, i recently got my iPhone 4s from Canda and now im using it with an Australian SIm card ( yes it works ).
My iphone 4s is still running on iOS5.0.1 and i just tried to update it through my phone (not on the computer). When it finished updating, there was a picture on my phone with the Plug sign and the Itunes sign. So i thought that i had to restore it, not much of a problem.
After i restored it, the same picture kept coming up. *plug into itunes* and now i cant use my phone.

I updated my phone with the new iOS 7.0.2 and now it won't turn on. The screen says to connect to itunes and so I have. I have gone through the recovery mode and everything but a message saying the recovery was corrupted keeps popping up. I am scared this new update crashed my phone. Please Help!

Particularly:
If your battery doesn't charge, or if your device shows a low-battery image, black screen, or "accessory not supported" alert, follow these steps.
Inspect the connector at the bottom of the phone:
Make sure that there are no bent pins in the connector.
Make sure that the connector is free from debris.
If there are bent pins or debris, please contact Apple Support.
Otherwise, continue troubleshooting.
Make sure that the outlet you're using works.
Make sure that the Apple USB cable and Apple USB power adapter work.
Plug the device in to power and let it charge for up to 30 minutes. If you don't have an Apple USB power adapter, try connecting to a computer's high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be on.
If the device still exhibits an issue, try turning your device off and then on again while connected to power.
If the issue is persists, please contact Apple Support.

Assuming your iPhone was not hacked or jailbroken, and is an iPhone 4 or newer, try recovery mode as described here. Note you may have to try to get into recovery mode more than once.

My phone is not coming on except for the usb cord showing in the screen with an Itunes logo after doing an update that I received on line when putting my phone into the station for the night, I saw that there was an update so I said yes. Then this happen. Could someone please help me here, because I do not want to restore or I will lose everything I have with numbers and music in my library. Please advise and respond to me. I did a software update and cannot get my phone to turn off, on, or anything. It shows a gray apple and then an iTunes icon with a USB cable picture. I am not able to connect to my iTunes account because it's on my home computer (I'm traveling). It won't let me add my laptop because it says I have it tied to too many computers already and I can't deauthorize any of those computers because I don't know what they are, and I'm traveling. Can anyone help make my phone usable again? Preferably with contacts in tact.
Pleeeeease!A drop or two of water may have been enough to cook it. If it was bad enough to prompt you to put it in a bag of rice, then I'd venture to guess it was more than a drop or two.
Try putting it back in the bag of rice and leave it there for several days.
If that doesn't fix it, then you're more than likely looking at paying for an out of warranty replacement.
Water and delicate electronics don't generally get along well. -
I installed IOS 7 and now it won't accept my password. How do i fix it?
I finally got around to installing IOS 7 and now my phone won't accept the 4 digit passcode. I didn't think about disabling that feature before the upgrade. Never had a problem before. And yes, I'm sure I'm using the right code. I use it many times per day! I tried plugging into my computer and itunes but since it isn't unlcocked it won't recognize it. Likewise with iCloud. I tried find my phone and it comes up offline. This is a last ditch effort. I can't even phone a friend! Any workaround?

When you install it for the first time it asks you a few questions to configure these new settings, and I'm wondering that you may be confusing the new authorization scheme for your old password.
When first running iOS7 after the upgrade it will ask you for (not your iPhone password) but your iCloud/Apple ID password.
Read the questions carefully and make sure that you're not confusing the two as prompted. You may not be, but this is my initial thoughts, as the install does not change any existing passwords but does link the hardware to iCloud to further prevent theft.

Tried to install iOS 7 and it said I needed to connect my phone to iTunes, so I did and then it said my phone wasn't updated to the software now my phone isn't working! all it's doing is showing a iTunes logo with a charger thing under it and won't let me cancel or anything
After connecting your iPhone to the computer did you restore using the iTunes on your computer?

Where is the phone number on the iPod?
If you have an iPhone with iOS and use the same ID for Messages and FaceTime as on the iPod the iPhone's phone number will be listed for Messages and FaceTime on the iPod.
If you changed phone numbers on the iPhone, sign out of Messages and FaceTime and then sing back in. Then do the same a little while later on the iPod.

I have a n IPhone 4S. I upgraded to IOS7 and then tried tp go back to my prevous IOS and now my phone will not turn on at all.
I tried to do the same, but couldn't find ios 6. I even tried the APPstore, to download the last IOS6 version.
The most problem is the running out of the battery.
I've checked each app who is "eating" the most power.
The battery stoped runaway, when I closed the weather service....
So for now, I will use regular internet service, and probbaly will do to more app.
Until, finaly, I will find my self with all the applications closed....:-)
That will be the sign, to replace my phone to anderoid....:-)

Help! i accidently interrupted my iphone upgrade to ioS 6 and now my phone wont turn on completely. it just keeps showing the apple. it also wont register with itunes...i have tried turning it off and restarting it multiple times but nothing is working. HELP!
hey man, i feel your pain... here's my story and i'm pretty sure this will work for you... on the 19th of september i went to upgrade ios 6 and paused it about 1/10 through... when i plugged my phone up at night the screen was at the normal lock screen.. when i woke up at 10:30 am i went to check my phone and the screen appeared as an apple logo with a progression bar about 6/10 full.. it didn't seem to be progressing any more, but i guess that was only because it was so slow trying to download over wifi because it had all night to finish downloading.. anyways i needed to check my texts and the time so i held down the lock button and the phone turned off during the download.. when i tried to turn it on the apple logo would appear like normal trying to boot up.. then it would fade away and cut off.. then seconds later try to turn on again, by itself, repeatedly for hours on september 20. i tried restarting it (holding lock and home button down 10-15 seconds) but the problem with that is that the phone was already trying to turn on itself so it never would restart correctly... (continued turning on and off by itself).. i went to verizon and they said my phone is screwed.. go to apple if you wanna pay.. i called apple support and a lady helped me out here's the solution that worked after hours of thinking my phone is totally screwed.. when the phone is dark and cut off.. press and hold the home button before you plugin your sync cable to your usb port.. (have itunes up and ready) continue holding the home button and plugin the sync cable.. still holding the button, wait for a message from itunes appear that says it recognizes your device in recovery mode.. press ok.. the screen on your iphone should be a snyc cable and and arrow pointing to an itunes symbol... from there it is pretty self explanatory.. you will need to restore and update your phone from there which should be an option after you press ok... it takes awhile.. your phone will then go through one, or maybe a few progression bars (it may vary, not sure).. while your itunes will be restoring software & firmware.. when everything is done on itunes and your phone.. your phone should boot right up!!! reply if you have any more questions.. i'm so glad i resolved my issue today.. good luck!
