I tried to publish updpates to a site and now the home page is down....
The log says this:

The file "/public_html/index.html" was skipped.
What does this mean?
I think it means you deleted the index.html page. Have you tried uploading it again?

I accidently "x" off the download of firefox 4 before it had finished and now the home page doesn't work. it loads but then wont let me search from it? i tried redownloading firefox but that didn't work is there a way i can resume the previous download?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

If you posted from another computer then download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

I tried updating my iPod touch 4th gen and now the screen is bright blue or flashing white and black lines.ive tried the whole home and power button thing but it only brings up the apple icons then goes back to the blue or other screen.please help?

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

Trying to download cc installer over and over again and now the website link is down
I've been trying over and over again to run CC installer for my trial, it made my computer crashed after it installed (I had to do a system restore to before it installed) then I ran all of my updates but as it begins to download it the program stops. If I run it as administrator I get a message saying it "failed to initialize". I deleted the program and made sure it wasn't installed but now when I try to re-download it from the website it says that they're having technical issues.
my question is there anyone else seeing this message on their site about a technical issue?
and what can I do to try and get CC installer to initialize? I have windows 7 if that helpsForget the chat support. I am trying to install the CC Installer since 6 weeks. I had 18 emails going back and forth so far, I had 7 contacts to the chat support and I had two contacts with the local telephone support - The outcome is very easy to say: Adobe Support is simply totally incapable of helping me to resolve my problem. The CC installer is still not installed on my Mac which is why I will now cancel my subscription, look to get my money back because I was never able to use this Adobe crap, and I will move on to products that the Adobe competition has to offer, that are cheaper and easier to install. I was very pleased with the performance and the handling of Adobe Photoshop CS 4, 5 and 6 and Lightroom 3, 4 and 5, but hell, the Adobe Creative Cloud can kiss my *** since I cann't install it anyway..

I have opened the options and removed the string of addresses. I have removed the sessionstore files. When I enter any site address as the home page, close Firefox, and reopen it, Firefox opens to the correct page. If I close it and reopen it, it has the series of web pages in the home page block in the Options menu.
I have found that putting a blank page in the home page choice, will open a blank page, but the same string of characters appears in the Options menu home page block.See:

Help! I have created a basic site with about 4 pages and a blog. When I try to publish it (both on .mac and on own domain) only the home page is accessible. The site menu does not seem to be working.

If you publish to a folder, can you go into that folder and open the main page and navigate around? If not I'd say the whole thing is corrupt or something. I'm just asking if it works BEFORE you upload it to .Mac or a third party host.
Have you tried starting over? Or at least make a new site with two pages on it and see if you can go back and forth between the pages.
If you think it's corrupt and there is nothing else in iWeb I would delete the domain file from ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb before you start creating again.
Don't get mad at me for asking - you aren't trying to navigate around in iWeb are you? Mistaking it for a browser?? Sorry, had to ask.

When you are having problems with a site - consider weather between you and it and amount of traffic (time of day).
Bad weather can cause problems with a connection as it travels on the information highway - hazard a guess all traffic that went through Buffalo is being routed elsewhere.
Bad weather can slow down handshake etc to the point of requiring too many resends - so Ibook is timing you out. -

I published a website using iWeb. I began using iWeb to create a second site and now I can't find my original site's work on my Mac.
If you're publishing directly from iWeb 3 to your FTP server then you'll have the following in your accounts root directory:
Site 1 folder
Site 2 folder
Site 3 folder
index.html file from last published site directling to the last published site.
If you want to keep Site 1 as the primary site you'll need to publish it one more time to the server so you get it's index.html file uploaded.
Now you'll have to publish Sites 2 and 3 to a folder on the hard drive and use a 3rd party FTP client like Cyberduck, YummyLite or Transmit to upload only the site folder (and not its external index.html file with it).
The url to sites 2 and 3 will be:
http://doman_name.com/Site 2
http://doman_name.com/Site 3

then you will need to enter credit card details before the account can be used to download any item from the store.
If you don't have a credit card then you will need to create a new account, and follow those instructions. If you want to use the same email address then you will need to remove it from that account first e.g.by logging into it via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com - you should then be able to use it on a new account.

After installing Mountain Lion, I tried to scan from my Canon MX870 and received the message: "MP Navigator EX quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. A report will be sent to Apple," This problem happened right after I installed Mountain Lion. I then downloaded Canon's upgraded software and drivers for the MX 870 and the problem was resolved. Now one month later, the problem has returned.

I have removed the check from the pop up blocked in the MOZILLA options but still get this problem of not being able to open certain sites. The MOZILLA icon appears with the three options available, but before i can click on one I am automatically redirected to a site I did not want, and when I try to go back it will keep coming back to the site MOZILLA put on the computer. I have to close and go back to the home page and start all over again. I have installed a new virus protection system STOPZILLA and could this have any bearing on the problem. After awhile it becomes very frustrating trying to get on line information and being continually redirected. Any ideas?

when i activate a web page from the home netzero homepage, and then try to go back to the home page by way of the home button, nothing happens. The status bar says it is trying to go there, but the screen is totally blank white and just sitting there. this happens no matter where i activate a page from, the home button just does not work. thank you in advance for any input .

Reset your device:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.
