I tried to restart my computer, now it is restarting over and over

Hi,
I re-started my computer and it wouldnt start, it just keeps restarting al by itself. i managed to get one of the SuperDrive drawers open and inserted the 10.5 disk trying to start from the CD.
its been doing this for over an hour

Booting to the disk is the first art you have to repair the disk with dusk utility (not the permissions)

Copying the program over to a new machine will not work. Install it using installation files and activate it using the serial number assigned to the license.

Hi. When you were in the recovery drive doing permissions, did you try and run a repair of the boot drive? Did you try single user mode? Try these first and then go back and try to reinstall the operating system.When I say repair boot drive I don't mean permissions. There are both options in disk utilities.When you open disk utilities ,you will see in the left column two drives plus possibly a boot partition that look like an external driv. click on the second drive and in first aid use repair disk. I have a MacPro with 10.7.2 installed. I want to create a new partition and install 10.5. When I put in the install DVD and restart the computer, it does not restart. What can I do?

I just purchased a MacPro with 10.7.2 installed. I want to install 10.5 on a separate partition.
I created the partition with no issues, now when I put in the 10.5 install DVD and restart the computer, it does not restart.
All I get is a grey screen. no icons, no nothing. I have to shut the computer down.
I really need to do this. I plan on upgrading to FCP X, but I still need to finish some old projects that were done with FCP 7. I need the different boot drives

This is a brand new machine that I just purchased from Apple. It was delivered yesterday
The old computer is an old PowerMac G5, but my OS X install disc is a retail version of 10.5.
I also tried the OS X 10.5 install disc that came with my MacBook Pro (2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Dual).
Same issue - nothing but a grey screen when the system tries to boot from the DVD

I received an update message after my system had installed the newest Firefox 3. something, approximately 4 days ago. (Today is 3/22, so about 3/17--18) The newest update , when started, took me to the Mozilla homepage, where It was suggested I download and comment on the new Firefox 4---I do not normally do this, but am so impressed with Firefox versus most others, that I did, now, I cannot open Firefox at all, the older version, 3. something, is not in my system, only 4, but my system/PC upon trying to open the new Firefox, prompts me over and over to restart the system, (which I have done 3 times) I figured I would then simply remove it, (Firefox 4) and either try it again, or re-install the newest 3. something---I cannot remove it, even using my anti-virus program to do so, it simply prompts over and over to restart, wether I try to open, remove, or access it in any way---I do not wish to use system restore, but that seems my only option, please help!!!

I had the same problem and the solution is quite simple:
- delete all data that has to do with Firefox and Mozilla
- Reinstall the new version Firefox 4
You have to make sure that everything is deleted and well yes you will lose your profile data but at least it works again without any problem.

"In iTunes, I signed out of the store. I exited itunes and restarted it, logged back into the store (with my apple id), then I pulled down the iTunes menu in the menu bar and selected Check for updates.

First I did the update under general like I do every couple months. My phone came up with a screen, at the end of the update, that had a picture of the itunes icon and a picture of the iphone cord like I was supposed to connect to itunes. I did and itunes said that my phone needed to be "restored" to be reusable again, and the only option it gave me was to click the restore button. So I did and it went through a 30 minute restore session. Now my phone just shows the black screen with the apple icon and restarts over and over again. Clicking the buttons does nothing. The screen is telling you to connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes.

Did you try it with the iTunes your Mac already has?
Try running Software Update in your System Preferences. That should bring your computer up to the latest software available for 10.4. You would end up with an older version of iTunes, but that may be good enough to activate your iPad.

Trying to download cc installer over and over again and now the website link is down

I've been trying over and over again to run CC installer for my trial, it made my computer crashed after it installed (I had to do a system restore to before it installed) then I ran all of my updates but as it begins to download it the program stops. If I run it as administrator I get a message saying it "failed to initialize". I deleted the program and made sure it wasn't installed but now when I try to re-download it from the website it says that they're having technical issues.
my question is there anyone else seeing this message on their site about a technical issue?
and what can I do to try and get CC installer to initialize? I have windows 7 if that helps

Forget the chat support. I am trying to install the CC Installer since 6 weeks. I had 18 emails going back and forth so far, I had 7 contacts to the chat support and I had two contacts with the local telephone support - The outcome is very easy to say: Adobe Support is simply totally incapable of helping me to resolve my problem. The CC installer is still not installed on my Mac which is why I will now cancel my subscription, look to get my money back because I was never able to use this Adobe crap, and I will move on to products that the Adobe competition has to offer, that are cheaper and easier to install. I was very pleased with the performance and the handling of Adobe Photoshop CS 4, 5 and 6 and Lightroom 3, 4 and 5, but hell, the Adobe Creative Cloud can kiss my *** since I cann't install it anyway..

What upgrade are you trying to install? Your profile shows iOS 5.1.1, which is the current max iOS.

I am assuming the phone was working prior to you installing IOS 6? Did you use itunes to install IOS 6 or just run from the phone?
When I tried to do the Over The Air update to IOS6 on my iPhone 4, it errored out and I had to connect it to iTunes and select "Restore" from the summary screen after iTunes finds the phone is connected. If this works for you, it will go through a couple of reboots that take a few minutes to complete. It should then give you the option to start with a fresh new phone or to use one of your previous backups to load your contacts and other information, provided you have backed up the phone previously.

It starts up and asks for a language. After English, it goes to the OS X Utilities screen. I have gone to disk utility and verified the disks. They both say they are okay. If I click repair, it comes back with an error saying "Live file system repair is not supported." I just want my computer back to normal! Please help! I am still in Mavericks if it matters.

Do you have a backup? If so, in the Recovery Partition go to Disk Utility/Erase, select Mac OS Extended (Journaled), click Option GUID, and erase the disk. Then re-install the OS. Reboot and use Setup Assistant to recover your data.
