I tried to restart my iphone 3GS, but it seems like it's frozen in the restart mode.
I went tocheck my email earlier today, but nothing showed up on the screen so I decided to restart my iphone 3GS. I held down the home button and the sleep/wake button and the screen went black and the spinning wheel came on so I assumed that the apple icon would pop up like it usually does, but it didn't. I did that at 9:30pm and it is now 1:00am and the screen is still black with the spinning wheel on it. I plugged it into my computer thinking that maybe it would tell me something, but all it said was that there was an unknown error so it couldn't connect. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you tried downloading the most update version of Itunes? If not, download it but don't connect your iphone to it. Restart & do the following.
Try pressing the home screen button (bottom round centre button) & the "turn off" button (top right one) at the SAME TIME.
Should have the apple in the centre of your screen now. Then once your computer is restarted, plug in your iphone to the USB & computer. It should turn back on properly now

Success!! There truly is a light at the end of the tunnel. Apple support really did come through and I am successfully back into my account. Ready to purchase more music. I followed the instructions, with patience I thought I lost, submitted my problem, someone emailed me back within two days and all is now perfect. Thanks again Apple.

hi, I was trying to update my iPhone 3gS but when I turn it on again iTunes send me a message that says error 3194 occurs, please help me!!
If the screen shows a plug going to itunes, then you have no choice, It's in recovery mode. You'll be given the chance to restore from a backup either from itunes or icloud.
I assume when you got the message to update (was this for the ios or update some apps?), that was before the device when dead. At any rate, doing a restore does not change the ios. -

My iphone was recently restored and Im trying to switch from my old phone to the iphone 3GS, but when I put my sims card in the iphone and it connects with itunes. It says there isnt a sims card in the phone and it says for me to unplug the iphone and put a sims card in it. HELP!
No. There is no way around this. Without the credentials used to lock it, you can't use it at all. Return it to the person you got it from and get your money back. Failing that, turn it over to the police. There is a high likelyhood that it's stolen.

I was trying to sync my iPhone 3GS and it is now stuck, saying I'm in recovery mode. I am thoroughly confused now after researching online. I'm scared to restore to original settings as I don't want to lose everything, apps, contacts, etc. Help! Is there a way to get it all back if I do restore?? Can I my stuff back through iCloud??
Bad news first and we hope for good news as well
The device is in Recovery Mode and the data has already been deleted, you need to restore the device with iTunes in order to get the iPhone back into a working state
When the iPhone is restored you can then restore it from your latest backup using iTunes or iCloud and regain some, if not all, of your data.
The good news part only happens if you had a backup. -
Trying to restore my iphone 5c, but it says i have to turn off the 'find my phone' option in icloud. when i try, it brings up the wrong apple id. I reset it under itunes & app store in settings but still not working...frustrated!
Open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, click Restore button of iTunes on computer.

I've tried syncing my iPhone 3GS, but it'll stop when the sync is nearly complete, and the sync is interrupted with an error message reading "Error 1015". I've already tried all of the other things suggested by iTunes (ensuring that my OS is up-to-date, disconnecting other USB cables, ect.), yet this problem persists. Help...

I have tried to update my iphone 4 and now it is unresponsive and frozen either on the apple logo or sometimes i can get it back to the itunes logo though it is still frozen. I have also tried restoring it and still nothing

That's almost always because the phone was hacked to unlock it.

I have exactly the same issue as described above : I installed the update 5.1.1 on my iphone 3GS and since then, I can not turn it on anymore. In Itunes, I get an error 37 when I am doing a restauration and it stops.
This error has nothing to do with firewall : I tried to restore the phone on several computers, including in an Apple reseller and it did not work anywhere.
I spent several hours on phone with the hotline from Apple which arrived to the conclusion that it is a hardware issue, but the phone was working perfectly fine until I installed this update! -

Last night I tried to sync my Iphone 3GS to my laptap because I had a lot of new music. What happened was, at first I lost all my music, photos, and all my contacts (all phone numbers). I was able to retrieve some music, not the new ones, some photos but not all, and none of my contacts. What did I do wrong and how do I get my songs/contacts/photos back.
Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

I reset preferences, deactivated then reinstalled PS CS6 and CS6 64bit same issue. If I open PS CS6 (not x64) I can access preferences without a problem. I'm running windows 8 64bit. Everything else in x64 works normally (editing ect). Edit>Preferenc
