I tried to restart my phone but it is stuck and wont turn off
My phone didnt want to sync, I was getting a message that Itunes was unable to sync data, so restarted the computer and I got same massage. Then I tried to to restart the phone but it has been 15minutes and still wont turn off. Please help!!!!!

Took my iPad to the Apple store today and they were able to unfreeze it with a simple forced reset. This is done by pressing the Off button at the same time as you press the button on the front and hold for about 20 seconds. The new software had successfully installed and the iPad had frozen when it was starting up again after install. Not sure why this simple process can't be part of a FAQ page on the Apple site.

Reboot the phone: hold down the power button and the home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "slide to shut down". When the screen has been completely black for a few minutes, press the power button again.

my iphone I fell to the ground yesterday, from a height of approximately 1 meter. after this I trailed off, now only turns on when I plug the usb but the apple appears and just turn off and turn back, there is nothing more that I recommend doing?
With that behavior you need to take the iPhone to an Apple store genius bar for an out-of-warranty replacement. In the US that is $269 for the iPhone 5.

I've tried all that I know how to do. My power button quit working awhile ago so I use the Assistive Touch to lock my screen. Once my phone froze, the screen went black. The only thing I can do now on my phone is hold down the home key and Siri will beep but she says "not taking requests at this time, try again later." I can't reset my phone without the power key or the Assistive Touch button. I've tried plugging into iTunes to restore the phone but I get an error message to first go to Settings in my phone and turn off "find my iPhone." I can't do that either as nothing will come up on my screen.
Make sure iTunes is up to date and try again.

I was pushed into the sea with my iphone 5s in my back pocket, I got out and pulled my phone out of my back pocket and it turnt itself off. I went straight home and tried using a hair dryer but was unsucessful, put it in rice which also failed and i left it screen up on the radiator over night but still wouldnt turn on. It has charge on it although i still tried plugging it in to give it power and still was unable to power up. Can anyone give any suggestions on how i can fix it as for its not even 2 months old.

If you're going to put a phone in rice (not daft at all, the rice acts as a dessicant), it needs to be for a few days, not a few hours. The OP stated in their post that the did put it in rice. In addition to the liquid damage, salt water is also much more corrosive to electronics than plain water. The rice won't help with the salt. -
Phone goes into standby and wont turn off after update!!! please help me as hate it
On Friday I turned my phone off as per usual and turned back on in the morning to find the phone totally different.
The red lock button now only sends the phone into like a sleep mode, and i cant find any where to turn it off.
The screens keep fading down and I have re set the backlight to not dim but some thing is over riding it.
I used to love my phone and now hate it so much, is there a way of booting this update off my phone and putting it back to how it was. I tried to restore and its the same and then tried to put the phone back to previous settings I had stored on my lap top but again nothing.
I now have some new blackberry software on the lap top too which now does not even recognise my phone and there for the past restore points I had.
My daughters bold 9700 does the same thing now too, please please helpHiya!
Blackberry doesnt actually "turn off" it only goes into a standby mode (press and hold the end call button). To fully power it down, you would perform a battery pull.

After receiving a photo in a text message, my I Phone 3GS screen is now fuzzy over 3/4 of the screen. I deleted the photos, did a restore of the phone, did a restart of the phone and still the screen has the fuzz over 3/4 of it.
Anyone ever experienced this problem and know how to fix it?

JamesI have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

You'll have to access icloud.com on a non-ios device and remove the phone from your account. If only iOS devices are available you would have to download the Find my iPhone App to do this.
