I tried to restore my iTunes with a previous version on my time machine, but now I can't even open iTunes?

The iTunes icon in my dock and my Applications folder doesn't look like iTunes anymore. It won't open or even give me an error message.

Just guessing here.....I wonder if iTunes would be seen as an older version by the SoftWare Updater?....if so perhaps just updating via S.U. might get you going.....

I haven't synced my iphone 4 with my windows xp pc since Nov 2011. now I can't even open Itunes. I get a message that says :the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource tat is unavailable". I can't uninstall it either.

When I try to uninstall iTunes so that I can reinstall it, I receive this message: "The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that th esource exists and that you can access it".

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.
Type in below command and hit 'Enter' key.

Then navigate to Local>Adobe>AAMUpdater.
Open AAMUpdater folder and rename 1.0 folder to Old-1.0.
Then launch Photoshop application and click on Help menu and select Updates option.

1 - the iPhoto application is an application and does not hole your photos - your photos are in the iPhoto library an dour normal daily backup will back them up so your photos are safe
2 - what exactly does the error message say? You probably need to reinstall the iPhoto application form the original source
3 - note that no version of iPhoto comes with any OS - iPhoto comes with all new Macs but not with any OS and most OS versions can run many different versions of iPhoto

I had the same problem, when switching over to iTunes 11. I downloaded the software through Apple Software Update, and when I tried opening the software, it popped up with an error message. The support forums suggest a complete uninstaall/reinstall, which I did. iTunes 11 now works without a single problem. A wet phone is out of warranty. This is considered user damage. Even if you were able to get it to start now, the chances of it working for long are slim. I suggest going to Apple and see about an OOW replacement. One for the iPhone 4 is only $149USD and it would come with a short warranty. It is a refurbished device and you would not be worried about encountering additional problems.

indicates there is a missing library on your system. What problems were you having before that caused you to delete Safari? How did you delete it?
You're best bet in this case is to re-install the OS. While doing a re-install will not normally harm your user data having a good working backup in cases like this is essential.

Try the following on your library:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.>Click on the Add Library button,
2 - select the library you want to add from those in the selection window.
3 - make sure that in the rebuild window the checkbox "Scavange orphaned photos" is checked.
4 - now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
5 - in the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed. Click on the Create button.
Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost.
Note 2: Your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.
