I tried to restore my phone this morning, but the phone is stuck on the screen showing I'm plugged into itunes. I have no service, and although my device registers in itunes, the right side of the screen is blank. I can't use my phone. Help!

I tried to restore my I Phone today but now its not working. The screen is stuck with the plug in picture, and only allows me to make emergency calls. It says I have no service and I can't use my phone.
Why does the device show in the left hand side of I tunes, but the right hand side is blank and shows no options?

I was having syncing issues with my iPhone (an original) and ultimately took the step to restore the factory default settings in an attempt to start over from fresh...iTunes 'sees' the iPhone device and seems to go through all the requisite restore, load, verify steps, but I can't get the iPhone to load the main menu. I continue to get a window that shows a USB Cable pointing to iTunes...I have had 800 call support technicians and genius bar techs look at the problem without result.

Due to the kind of plug used the US power cord is rated at the 125v value.. and legally we cannot advise you to use on higher voltages.. although I have never had issues in Australia.. 240v.
But adapters from your Euro power plug to US are generally ugly .. unsightly things.. and often sit high above the socket and are none too stable.. I agree with Bob.. just go out and buy a standard figure 8 power cord.. check with Apple in Italy for a white one.. if you are going to have it on show.. black are far more common. Or even check ebay for a standard power Apple power cord as a number of items they sell use the figure8 socket.

Sometimes a simple power cycle of the router and Mac can resolve the issue. However, try the steps in the article below to troubleshoot the Wi-Fi issue with your MacBook.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My Deskjet 3054 610 still acts as though its printing but the pages are blank. Can anyone help?

My HP Deskjet 3054 610 has been working fine, until it just quit scanning one day (that's another issue). Today I was printing a 7-page doc. It printed the first page fine, and the other pages just spit out blank. I restarted the printer and tried again. Now the printer seems to be printing with the back and forth motion, but the pages are still blank. The ink levels are fine, as is the wireless connection.
Any suggestions for help would be appreciated!

When I download something from the Web, the "Downloads" window opens, but the window remains blank. Before it used to at least show the name of the file and I could open the file from the "Downloads" window. Is there a way to get this functionality back?

I'm running Windows XP which is updated to latest version (which I think might be Service Pack 3, but not positive.) Mozilla Firefox is version 5.0. I tend to use Google as my search engine so most of the stuff I download comes through sites found through Google, which is also updated.
At some time in the past (maybe a few versions ago) when I would download a file from the Web, the "Downloads" window would open and in the window would be displayed the name of the file I was downloading or had just completed downloading. I think I used to be able to then click on that file name and the file (or the installation file if needed to start the new program) would open. I am currently using Firefox 5.0 (the "About Firefox" screen says this is up to date) and when I download a file or document, the "Downloads" window appears on the screen as it always has in the past, but it remains blank, i.e., nothing appears in the downloads box. I don't remember making any configuration changes, etc., that may have caused the window to remain blank, but I could be mistaken. I know how to find the items I've downloaded (My Documents / Downloads) and can usually guess what the name of the downloaded file might be, but it used to be much easier when something (anything) showed up in the downloads window.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

That is not what it says. Read the message again. It's telling you it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode and it must be restored.

You could follow the instructions in the support document that you linked from. There is a section regarding the passcode and the inability to use it or enter it. However, you may encounter more issues since you cannot use the screen.

A Restore first downloads a new copy of iOS to your computer. On a slow Internet connection this can take a long time. How fast is your connection? How long would you expect it to take to download 900 MB?
That's assuming nothing is interfering with the download. Some firewalls and antivirus programs will block the download or slow it down. So you should temporarily disable your security software. Security software can also block the update after the iOS download is complete.

When I turned on my iPad this morning, it prompted me to upgrade to IOS 7.1. I did it and all went as usual until the iPad promptd to plug into iTunes. I've done that but it is now stuck in that mode. Hw do I complete the upgrade?

I plugged it to a laptop, then the message on the laptop stated "iPod is in Recovery Mode" Nothing worked to get the iPad to complete the upgrade, not even an attempt to restore iPad to factory settings - it is stuck in the "plug to iTunes" mode.
Any suggestions to either uninstall IOS 7.1, to complete the install, or to reset it? At this point, it is a $700 papeweight.
