I tried to send photos on aol through mac mail. The email did not sent, but I keep getting recovered messages despite rebooting. I don't know how to stop it.

An AOL account is normally set up as an IMAP account -- have you been using it in Mail? If not, open Mail Preferences/Accounts/Advanced and choose such that copies of messages and their attachments are not kept. I am suggesting this as you may be downloading previous messages upon connection.

My first advice is "Back up the device, then have it replaced." Second item of advice, "Don't forget your passcode."
One of the purposes of the lock button is to recover from certain software failures. Without the lock button, such a recovery is nearly impossible. My advice would have served you best when the malfuction first developed, not after you forgot your passcode.

No, but the upgrade removed unneeded PowerPC code and changed the way free space is determined.

Can not startup the oracle db after reboot

I have an Oracle 10g DB running on Linux9 server. It works well before I reboot the server this morning. I can not startup the db.
$ sqlplus /NOLOG
SQL> CONNECT sys/password AS SYSDBA
Connected to an idle instance.
SQL> STARTUP
ORA-17503: ksfdopn:2 Failed to open file +DATADG/orcl10g/spfileorcl10g.ora
ORA-15055: unable to connect to ASM instance
How can I do to restart the db??

Yes, it seems all right. But the real problem is: after I start listener,
Oracle Enterprise manager 10g Fatabase Control and iSQL*Plus, I can not connect to the http://localhost:5500/em. The Alert says: The connection was refused when attempting to contact localhost:5500.
I can connect to the iSQL*Plus. I mean, the http://localhost:5560/isqplus/, but can not login. The Error says: ERROR-ORA-12514: TNS: listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor.

Lightroom crashed and now I can't open the catalog - even after deleting the lock file.

Lightrooms crashed, which is a common occurrance. But, this last time was different. After I restarted it my catalog was not linked and all my settings were gone. I tried opening the catalog through the file menu, but absolutely nothing happens. I tried going to the folder and clicking on it but this only opens lightroom with no catalog. After having scanned this forum I found that I need to delete the .lock file, but after doing that the same things happen. Any suggestions on how to open my catalog? Will reinstalling Lightroom help?

They aren't always the same size, but are only on the top of the section - never big enough to completely cover the photos. Then I get anywhere from one to about four or five extra windows stacked on top of the Lightroom Icon at the bottom of my screen (I use Windows 8) opening and closing, though there isn't enough time for me to click on them and read them because my computer gets so slow that my mouse actin is delayed by a few seconds. And, to shut Lightroom down, I need to use Windows task manager because clicking on the little red box with the X in the upper right corner accomplishes nothing. I have a new Sony Vaio i5 chip and 8Gb RAM. This also hapened on my old computer, though not as often

I upgraded to Firefox 4.01 but it keeps asking me to reboot whenever i want to launch the program even after rebooting for at least 7 times

I have rebooted the system many times but I am not able to launch Mozilla F. 4.01. After upgrading it, I cant even redownload it or go back to the older version: it keeps asking me to reboot the system everytime I try to launch. Please HELP! I highly dislike IE! besides I got all my bookmarks with Firefox.

You can do a clean (re-)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.

When I shutdown firefox the process stays alive preventing me from reopening it. I end up going into task manager and stopping the process even though it does not show in the applications.

If this is an iCloud account the Outbox only appears when sending an email, so if it is still trying I suppose it should be showing now (not sure though, hard to replicate this)
