I tried to update iTunes but then it won't recongnize my itouch.. Then my itouch had to be restored it said... Now it is a new iPod and iTunes won't work with it anymore.. P.lease help!

My iPod had an old software... I needed to update it. Then iTunes told me I needed a newer version of iTunes. I did that. I can't remember if there was a problem.. Idk. Then iTunes wouldn't recognize my touch. Then I made a mistake of restoring it and updating it to a new I pod. I figured I could download everything again.. So no big deal. Then something happened with the iTunes or computer.... And my iPod is like when I first got it. But when I plug it in... iTunes won't recognize it.. Me and my mom are going to apple help. Troubleshooting.. But it is not working!!! Please help

At startup hold down the Option/Alt key and from the screen that comes up select your OS X partition to start the computer from. Then use the Boot Camp Assistant app to Remove Windows and the partition you reated for it and it will Automatically place the space you allocated for the Windows install back into the OS X partition.
NOTE:
Do NOT use Disk Utility to erase the partition that was created for the Windows install. Use the Boot Camp Assistant app again to do that.

It's ok to pilot Itunes Music from all the Mac at home but with the Ipod or the Iphone or the Ipad, no sound go out ! I see the icone airport on the 3 devices, the music plays but i can't hear it on the amplifier-tuner deck. Thanks for your reply, however, I do have the j2se version tag set and when I have a Java Console window running along with my download the first line in the console window indicates it is using JWS version as 1.6 but the second line in the window indicates it is using JRE version as 1.5...I would like for both of them to be the same. So, I am getting the correct java version but something is happening with the JWS using the version from 1.6. Here's a snippet from my jnlp file:

Anyone got the new iPod touch 2nd gen to work with the fatman itube dock???

Recently for christmas I've bought a new iPod touch 2nd gen and it's awesome, everything is great about it - in my opinion; except for the fact that I tried to dock it on the fatman itube docking station and found it not to work. Before I used it I was aware that the 2nd gen is unable to charge on the dock however I didn't expect the speakers not to work too. All that happens is a message on the ipod comes up saying unable to charge with this accessory but doesn't put any sound output into the fatman, it just sits there blasting out it's own quiet internal speaker, and also strangely the remote DOES work too???
I've read on the net that maybe resetting the ipod by holding the home+stand-by switch for 10 secs but this resets and does not fix the problem...
There are many photos on the fatman website showing a ipod touch docked so it seems to be sold as working with it but who's to blame for this fault? Apple or fatman?? And does anybody know of a fix for it?
Also I tried my mums ipod nano with the fatman - works fine, and my firmware on the ipod touch is nice and up to date with version 2.2 so I can't see anything else I can do. This was my christmas & birthday present and at the moment I'm quite annoyed that all I can do to it is stick a mini jack in the headphone socket - not ideal since there's no video output or remote control that way!!!
Please give advice if there is any out there,

This is an Answer for a Possible Solution. It worked for me and is still working. The issue I was having with my 64 bit vista, was Apple Mobile Device Service was not being installed, I dont know why. But I disabled any active running program through MSCONFIG, to allow a clean uninterrupted install of ITUNES 8.02. This allowed AMDS and drives from ITUNES to install. Hope this works for most of you.
APPLE, please review your Support Methods. Re-installing doesnt help an issue that resulted from installing.

Brand new ipod Touch (8GB) does not work with DHCP

I have a brand new iPod Touch (8GB) that will not work using DHCP. No matter what I do (reset router, reset ipod) the DHCP still doesn't work. I can manually setup an IP/Gateway/netmask/etc. and it works but I really need the DHCP to work if at all possible. I'm using a Linksys WRT54G. I was able to use an old Linksys wireless router and the touch gets an IP, etc. with no problems but I can not get my Touch to work with the WRT54G. Any ideas?

Try a restore via iTunes. You need to put your device in dfu mode to let iTunes restore. If you don't know to put it in dfu mode, google it.

Argh! Just got my new ipod and it doesn't work!

Well got the video ipod and oh great it doesn't work. I hooked it up to my computer and it showed up. So I just tryed going to into windows media player and syncing some songs. I only added about 500 songs or so just to tet it out. It showed that the space was taking up in the "about" thing but I could not play any of the songs because they didn't show up under the music section. I then tried it again but now my computer doesn't recognize it. I can't run a restore or anything because of that. Can anyone help?

Yes, of course.   Did you set up with your Apple ID?
Reset the iPad to factory and set it up with your Apple ID and password.   You can still sync different apps, music and other stuff onto the iPad, the devices need not mirror each other.

You will not lose anything. The new iPod will be recognized as a separate device. It can be configured completely differently than your existing one.
