Help...2 problems
1. I tried to update my apps (update all)...everything froze...message appeared saying unable to update...what should I do
2. Tried to use I message...I can type a message..but cannot send screen is frozen..what can I do
Check for Updates (bottom right). When download is completed, sync to iPad.

Are you using a proxy or a VPN to connect to the internet? If you are, this is possibly the reason why. I suggest using anothe connection which is not a proxy.

I tried updating from 3.6.12 to 3.6.13 on my IMac and get a pop up window that says Unable to update because I do not have system permissions required to update. If I download the latest version and try to replace the existing version it says "The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items." I called Apple and made sure I was the system administrator and I am. I made sure that the two other users did not have FireFox open and it still fails the same way.
Note: This problem resolved itself for some reason but I still want to thank everyone for their suggestions.* Download a new copy of the Firefox program: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re)install.
* Install the new version that you have downloaded.

I have tried to update my iPod Touch 4G to the latest update, I currently have iOS 4.1. After the 4 hours an error message appears saying iTunes had lost connection even when I am fully connected to the internet. I have repeated the update 4 times now with not luck. Any ideas?

AdamIf you get a network timed out error, try disabling the security software on the computer during the download and install.

I'm trying to purchase an app from the App Store but continually getting an error message that reads -"Unable to verify your device or computer". I can purchase apps from iTues with no issues at all, but not from the App Store. Any suggestions?

Hi,
Ive moved my iphoto library to an external drive and it seems to be working fine launches from the external drive etc,
I then updated iphoto to iphoto 11 and then attempted to update to the current version either 9.3 or 9.4 i dont recall - whatever the updated version is.
I get a message that tells me that it cannot update because "file is not in original location"
Im not sure which file or which location is being referred to here.
im sure ive done something but cant seem to recall what that might have been...
im a little puzzled though since it still launches etc.
any help would be appreciated. (2007 imac)

Is that the exact error message? When do you get this error? will your iPhoto library work properly withou the update?

For two weeks now, everytime my computer tries to update the software (OS X etc) is says the update can't be installed and that the "connection has been reset by peer". Other software such as Adobe Reader updates fine. What does this mean?
Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorizations have the correct information on file.

i am trying to download some apps onto my iphone 3gs and it keeps saying i need to update it for this but ive trying and there is no update option on the phone or through itunes, it keeps saying its up to date, can anyone help please?

Whenever I updated or downloaded a new app from the App Store, a message appears saying:
"Account Not In This Store
Your account is not valid for use in the U.S. store. You must switch to the Swedish. store before purchasing."
I made some research online and asked a few of my friends with the same problem. All they did was sign out of iTunes from settings>iTunes & App Stores or from the App Store itself and signed back in. It worked for many of them but not with my iPhone 4s. It really does get on my nerves to always sign out and back in to the App Store as it sometimes works and allows me to update and download or most of the time it doesnt.
When viewing my Apple ID account on my iPhone (after entering the password) it either views my account or says:
"This Apple ID is only valid for purchases in the U.S. iTunes Store. You will be switched to that Store. Try your purchase again."
So I press on OK then either switches me to the App Store app of its choice, or says "Cannot connect to iTunes Store".
I tried restoring iOS6 hoping it was a bad installation, but i still have the same problem.
Can anyone help me please?
ArianAre you sure your AppleID is NOT tied to the US store? If you are trying to buy an app from the Swedish store you will be unable to do that. Some apps are only available on certain stores. That is why you get the "Cannot connect to the iTunes store" message when trying to buy that app. Your updates are being done from the US store ; thats why you can update sometimes and sometimes not.
If you keep encountering problems contact iTunes support. They will help you sort it out. -
My iPad works perfectly except when trying to update apps. Then I get a message that says "Cannot connect to the iTunes store."
Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.
If that doesn't solve it then what has worked for some people is going into Settings > General > Date & Time and change the date to a few months in the future and then re-trying -
When trying to update my apps on my phone, after logging in it says my account has been disabled for security reasons. I've updated my password but it still says its disabled. Any thoughts?!

I tried to update the App that I purchased but the message told me that my Apple account is not valid for use outside of US and I must switch back to US store to able to do it. How can I switch the account from foreign countries back to US?
