so it sounds like the device software update completed OK, but you can't connect to your cell provider. One immediate thing you can do is a restart/reset. My experience has been sometimes this will "kick in" connection to the cellular service.

Next, I'd call your cell provider. It doesn't sound like a hardware issue, so my experience with VZW has been they won't charge you at the store. But try the restart/reset first, and call VZW data support.

Assuming this is an external HD, use finder to select the drive with your original computer, then press Cmd+i to show info. Go to the bottom of the info window and make sure 'Ignore ownership of this volume' is checked so that other computers can access it.

When I go to App store and try to re-download - it comes up "Downloaded" - as in you alreadly have purchased it. Always before on other Apps, I just delete and repurchase and when it comes up OK. But this one comes up "Downloaded", so it will not let me repurchase it.

Currently my desktop is not connecting at all, Everytime I connect, it's states "We have now logged you out" and requests I login again.
I have of course rebooted,
Gone into taskmanager, killed all the relevant threads, tried again to login through the desktop, no luck, I'll have to uninstall it, make sure the threads are killed, then reboot it and then reinstall it, but I've not had the time to do that.
On another note, and just as a point of reference, myself, personally, I hate these "cloud" file repositories (not to be confused with adobe cloud services which I love) but the file repositories themselves imho, are a blackhole of resource usage when one doesn't/isn't using them,
Is there a way we can use it more of a "ftp" sort of thing, when I want to I can put files there? There is no way to "Download" the repository, no way to download the folders.. only individual files and then it takes I think three different steps before the download starts.. I find this very inhibiting. Just an fyi. for what it's worth.

So, I rented a movie on iTunes and downloaded, and then when I went to click on it, it said iTunes server not available, so I reset my laptop, and it was there but when I clicked on it it said the same error again, the movie disappeared. What do I do?

I need help! I payed for this movie, and I don't know why it said can not connect to iTunes server, because this is not my first time watching a rented iTunes movie, and I usually do not need internet, or the need to connect to iTunes store, and the fact that the movie diappeared upsets me.. and it is nowhere in my iTunes library. So, what happened, I clicked on the movie, it said cannot connect to iTunes sever, so exited out, and reset my computer, when it reloaded, I clicked on it again, and the same error message appeared, and then the movie disappeared.

This isn't a critical issue, but why do I get the message all the time on screen that my Firefox isn't up to date, and then when I check via the help button it shows that it IS up to date?

I have tried to solve the problem by downloading and reinstalling, to no avail. As I said, it doesn't cause a problem exactly, just a bit annoying!

Looking at your system details, you are running the latest version. You may see that message below the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old Firefox default home page. That page is no longer being maintained by Google.
You should try changing your home page to:
about:home
If you don't know how to change the home page, you should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]].

None of us knows why your screen turned black - it's the most serious form of crash, and yes, almost all the changes that you didn't save are lost.
An exception are the audio recordings - they should still sit in the project package of your song. Locate the project in the Finder, ctrl-click it and select "Show package content". The Media folder will contain all your recordings.

That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

Yes, update first, Settings > General > Software Update.
Then navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all contents and settings on the device you want to restore.
When this completes and the Set-Up Assistant starts, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and enter your iCloud account and password. You will see the three most recent backups for each of the devices on which you enabled Backup. Choose which backup to restore from.

Try to sync after deleting a bunch of stuff, see if that clears up space.
If that doesn't work, then back up your device and then restore from that backup. That should do the trick.

Did you fail to create a backup of the device prior to attempting to update?
Why did you choose to update iOS without first ensuring there was a backup and that all of your media and pictures were on the computer the device normally syncs with? Sorry, but that was beyond not smart.
If you've lost media, pictures, contacts, etc, there is nothing that can be done without a current backup to restore from. Hopefully you have learned an important lesson.

Then you will need to update to iOS 5.1.1 as outlined above.
