I tried to upgrade my IPad with IOS 6 and now I have an Apple icon with a blank downloading bar.
How can I get ITunes to recognize my IPad 2. I starting having issues after trying to upload my IPad with IOS 6. All I have now is the Apple icon and an empty downloading bar.

i upgraded my iphone 4 ios and now my phone will not restore -
I have run into the same problem.
1. I was sharing the same itunes account with my wife for both of our iPhones 4s. She upgraded her phone to IOS7 two weeks before I did. After I did we ran into problems with messaging. Because we shared itunes account, both iphones were linked. When I sent text messages to someone, she got a copy. When they replied, she got a copy. I tried several ways to remove her phone from my profile, but would not work with new IOS7. I had to create a seperate itunes account for my phone in oirder to do so, as recommended on several help forums.
2. I backed up my phone onto itunes before setting up seperate itunes account. It showed that all the photos, contacts, notes, apps, etc. were synced and backed up.
3. I logged off itunes (former shared account- now wife's account), logged into new itunes account, and proceeded to restore my phone, while logged into my new itunes account, thinking this would delete my wife's phone from the profile as shared devices.
4. Phone would not restore by automatically syncing with itunes, by selecting back up recovery file to recover, or even by deleting everything and starting fresh as if it were a new phone, then trying to restore the data file as if it were recovering the backup info onto the new phone.
5. I get the same **** initialization loop sequence on the iphone every time, even after itunes goes through the recovery process, syncing all data, etc., multiple times. The iPhone loops through the grey screen "Welcome" in different languages, then asks which wireless server I want to connect to, enter passcode, then asks if I want to set up phone as a new device, backup from iCloud, or from iTunes backup. It does not matter which I select. It prompts me to connect to iTunes again. The point is, I have already been through these procedures and the iPhone cannot get past this point and enter run mode, showing me a screen with all my recovered settings.
For time being, just to have a functional phone, I have had to delete everything off the phone and set it up as a new device, back to factory settings. Then the phone will get past this and enter into run mode showing screen and apps with factory settings, no contacts, no email ( have to set up again), no voice mail ( have to reset).
Any ideas on how to over ride this reset mode in the iPhone, when all I want to do is download and recover settings from a backup in iTunes to the device? -
I upgraded my Ipad to IOS7 and now I cant log on to my apple ID although I can log on on the PC.. Any one know how to solve this?
You need the owner of the account to remove the iPhone from their Apple ID, there is no way around this sorry.

Help! I have 2 problems related to iPhoto:
1: I accidentally ran iPhoto Library Upgrader on my Picture folder and now I have to right click on it to "show contents" instead of double clicking on it and looking at it in Finder. I cannot figure out how to fix my Pictures Folder so that I can click on it and view it in Finder, when I double click on it Terminal opens up with this message "Pictures - Bash 80x24" and

If you just do a normal time machine backup on your macbook pro and then plug that harddrive into your new air; you should be able to just use migration assistant to transfer all your files. You wouldnt need to upgrade to mountain lion on your macbook pro.

I Can't seem to be able to download (or update) any apps on IOS 8.0, and I have been able to download apps on IOS 7 and IOS 6. I have 5.2 GB of available space on my iPad (4th generation) and I have only used 7.1 GB on my 16GB ipad. I have a full two bars of Internet. You might try just waiting. There are millions of people activating their iPhones today and people still trying to get iOS8, so the servers are swamped. I'd give it a couple of days and if it still doesn't work then try some troubleshooting.

Firefox tried to upgrade and it failed.It now has a message about restarting to complete upgrade. you can't uninstall it because the same message appears. it will not start no matter how many restarts. had to switch to chrome.
If files already have been downloaded then remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.<br />

You can either re-download them directly on the iPad from the Purchased tab in the App Store app, or re-download them on your computer's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page and then sync them to the iPad : re-downloading.

Tried ipod on 3 different pc's, and now everyone of them comes up with eror
i have had my ipod one week, first time i plugged it into the pc, the pc kept reseting and going on to a blue screen saying windows was shut down to protect files ect. and different error codes. so i tried the ipod on another pc, same happened, so once again tried it on my laptop and it did the same yet again! i am relly stuck, apple dont seem to have a clue on the phone, and i worry that sending it away will only result in it being sent back saying 'its fine' however its not as i cant even get on the pc anymore to use itunes. anyone had this problem? i would apprieciate any help, its a 30g 5g white, many thanks Gordon
If you have an Apple Store near you, take it there and have them check it. If you don't, I would send it in for service.

I have had FireFox for many years and have upgraded each time without problems. This time when I upgraded to
V10 all seem well until I tried to open FireFox (icon) and it took me to msn.com home page. I uninsulated V10 and tried to replace it with V9, but it also took me to msn. I went to restore (Win 7) hoping it would restore me to the original setup. But then I could not open FireFox or MSN. I restored back to the most recent settings. Still, the Firefox icon keeps bring me back to msn. This is very upsetting since all my favorites are booked marked with FireFox and I prefer using FireFox over any browser. Please help. Firefox is a web browser that grants you access to web based content. MSN is content provider. It sounds like your homepage has just been changed. Is that correct?
You should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]]. Your homepage might have been changed by a particular site. Sites like MSN, Yahoo, etc have been know to ask to become your homepage.
There are steps in that article to reset your homepage preferences to default. I would try that first to clear out any strangeness. If that works, you can try setting your homepage again to your personal preference.
