I tried to use my Photoshop cs6 and as soon as I do it comes up with a sign in now. So I try and then it tries to tell me I am off line. Now this is funny as I have to be on line to do this. So I need help.

Is anyone there or is this just a way to make us think you are there?

This is total crap with the way this is set up.
No one can understand if you are leaving a question or not.
So this is the question.
My computer had to do a system restore. When this happens I have to put in all the numbers again.
But this time it keeps telling me I am off line, but all the time I am on line, or there would be no way that I could be doing this.
So how do I put in the numbers when your site will not let me put them in, as I am online.
And yes I am not very happy with this site as it is more like chasing your tail because you keep coming back to the same place and still no further along.
I am not sure how you can fix this but it needs fixing.

Your description of the issue is not clear:
What format, bit depth and color was your original file "from the net"? It sounds like it was a Color Indexed GIF, which would cause what you are describing.
In the Macintosh Finder, select said "net image" and do a Get Info on it (Command+i). When the Info box appears in the Finder, take a screen shot and upload it here by using the little camera icon in the Reply Editor in the forum's web interface.
If the image is a 256-color GIF, remember the rule: GIGO = garbage in, garbage out.

I have a Mac computer and am trying to use a Photoshop CS4 program, but after accessing my desktop files through Adobe Bridge and clicking twice on any of the pictures to get into Photoshop, instead of entering photoshop, I get on the lefthand side an enlarged version of the picture with red, yellow and green buttons on top. And there is the problem. Your pictures are opening up in Mac's own Preview app.
Do you want all your jpegs to open in Photoshop, or only when you are in Bridge?
Selecting a program to open a certain file is called: File Type Association.
You can choose this at the MacOS level or the Bridge level.
Here's how to do both:
Either MacOS or Bridge has the wrong app associated with the jpeg. Let's start with MacOS
Close Bridge and Preview. Select one of your jpegs, and press Cmd i, That will bring up the file info window.
Go down to the "Open with" section of File Info.
Choose Photoshop CS4 and click on the Change All... button to apply this choice to every jpeg on your Mac.
Then open Bridge and see if double-clicking opens it in Photoshop.
Now that means all jpegs on your Mac will open in Photoshop. Maybe you don't want that.
You can set your jpegs to open in Preview when Bridge is closed.
When you open Bridge, there is Preferences > File Type Associations where you can direct Bridge to open the jpegs in Photoshop when you are viewing in Bridge.

That depends on why it won't open. Most of the time it means the file is corrupted and unlikely to be recovered. If you saved it right after adding or copying a LOT of layers - then it might just be the layer limit and we can attempt to recover it.

Hi, please help with my issue which is as follows:
A file which was created and saved using Adobe Photoshop CS6 is not opening anymore and sends a message saying that the file is not compatible.
What should I do, I have invested so much in that file and I dont think i will be able to do it all over again.

That's why people do incremental saves and use backups... You could try to open the file in an image viewer like IrfanView and see which parts are salvagable, but that's as good as it gets most likely...

I have no problem with CS6 Pen tool performance. Its instantaneous. I'm using Windows 7 Pro and CS6 version 13.1.2. on a Dell workstation PC.

It is not an Adobe problem. You have a OS permissions problem. You can try to correct this by using Disk Utility to Repair Permissions. It is in the First Aid area of Disk Utility.

Just go back in photoshop and use the Slice Select tool, then just click and select the slice and hit delete - if you're not sure which one is the active slice just right click and find the one that has the Delete Slice option.
It's possible you either added the slices by accident or if you received it from someone they just had the slices hidden. For the future, you can go to View > Show > Slices to display (or hide) slices.

You usually have to use the program's uninstaller utility for such things as Symantec. Read this:

You may need to install it all over again, just to use its uninstaller.
