I-Trigue L3800 2.1 settings

Hi there - Newbie needing help
I've bought the above speakers and they only play out of one speaker.
I've unloaded the drivers and reloaded via the web for the most uptodate.
However, when i go into control panel / sounds / highlight speakers then configue the speaker setup does not offer me the 2.1 settings - it only shows stereo, quad, 5.1 and 7.1.
Can someone point me in the right direction
Cheers
DR

hmm....you can try checking with their uk sales guys.

  • I-Trigue L3800 IR/Volume Problem

    Hi there !!
Sorry for my bad english i am coming from germany.
I have Problems with my new I-Trigue L3800 Speaker System. If i turn on the system via IR the volume goes up to the maximum. If i try to choose up/down volume it goes automaticly up or down to the maximum (i only push the button just one time). It helps to turn off and on or 2 times..after this..it works fine. This happends after the system was off for a longer time (about night etc.). If the system is running..it works correctly.
The control panal stand near my LCD Samsung, maybe this cause this problem..
    Thanks for ya help..

I have had my Creative Lab I-trigue 2.1 3300 speakers for a while now and recently they have just stopped working. Like a month ago for the first time they stopped working for a few days and then they finally started working again one day out of the blue. Within the last week they stopped working again. This time it's like they're completly thru. The volume control light still comes on, however no sound out of the speakers. I have checked all of my cpu settings a million times and unplugged the system and plugged it back in. Whenever I plug my headphones into the volume control you can hear sound.
I have also notice that several people with my exact speakers are having the same problem as me. I'm started to think that some of Creative products are defective.

  • I-Trigue L3800 power adpater

    Hi,
Can I use a power adapter which has the same DC power output on I-Trigue L3800 ?

    Ray,
Desktop speaker aren't design to be portable therefore the power adaptor isn't a universal power adaptor. If you have purchase the speaker within Singapore, the adaptor operate on 230V system. You probably need to purchase additional voltage transformer if you want to use the speaker abroad.

  • Upgrading To I-Trigue L3800

I currently have the I-Trigue 3300 speaker system. I'm considering upgrading to the I-Trigue L3800 speaker system, just wondering if it's really worth it ? Would i notice any quality difference, etc ?
    Thank You.

You could do this, but the centre channel would only be fed to one of your satellites with the other handled the mid/high from the sub channel (ie, nothing). There should be no risks as the speaker system will not feed the low frequencies to the satellites (it will handle it just like a normal stereo source). You could possibly merge the two channels using two stereo to mono adapters so both satellites will output the centre channel but this could sound bad if there is much overlap between the subwoofer and centre channels.
If your plan is to use some other speakers as the fronts, to create a surround system or similar then this should work fine. If you just want to use these speakers and no others, then it should sound better just using the front output and putting the ddts-100 in stereo. (All channels, including the subwoofer, should be downmixed).

  • Creative I-Trigue L3800 Sound Only Coming From Subwoofer

    Hey all.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to why the sound is only coming through the subwoofer on a set of these speakers I have been using.
    Checked so far:
Audio Cable connecting PC to Speaker system.
Sound settings in Windows 7 (balance etc).
Unplugged all speakers/control thingy etc and plugged back in.
I am certain the problem is somewhere inside the subwoofer itself as I was watching something the night before they seemed to 'die'. I literally turned the PC back on this morning to watch something and the sound is now only coming from the subwoofer. I've taken the PCB out of the subwoofer to look for any obvious signs of damage but I'm not an electrician or a speaker expert. The only thing I can see is a slow-blow fuse which looks fine, and I'm guessing that if this were the culprit there would be no sound whatsoever.
Any ideas? Obviously these are an old set of speakers but if there are any diagnostics I can do to perhaps find the cause and fix it, any help would be greatly appreciated as I currently have no decent device to play sound through.
    Thanks in advance.

    mattbell_5,
Have you try using headphone on the laptop headphone jack and make sure that's working. If possible try plugging the speaker to another audio device like a MP3 player headphone jack and see whether the speaker is working properly.

  • I-Trigue L3800

Hey! I'm wondering if it's possible to connect multiple speakers, besides the two normal ones, to the L3800-system? Can you only connect other speakers by Creative or is it possible two connect speakers of a different manufacturer?ThomasD

Do you mean you want to use the amplifier in the L3800 to drive two different speakers? The L3800 is biamped, so the two parts of the satellites (the tweeters and the mid) and driven by separate amps.
You would struggle to find any other speakers that can be wired up the same. Its also important to match the impedance of the speakers, otherwise you could damage the amplifier. Also the amp can only drive 9w rms for the tweeter and mid combined, so you couldnt hook a hifi speaker up.
Theoretically you could, for example, wire up some speakers to handle just the mid, and use the creative tweeters (or replace both and have 4 non-creative speakers). However I doubt this would sound nearly as good as creatives setup.
If i understand your question, you want to hook two satellites up at the same time as the creatives? This would not be a good idea with any speaker set, as the amplifiers are matched to the speakers. If you wire more up to the amplifier you change the impedance and this can damage the amplifier. This would apply even if you used creative speakers.
If i have misunderstood and you dont want to mess with the amp, you just want to split the input from the soundcard to two 2. speaker sets (with a headphone splitter or similar) that would work fine even if they are non-creative.

  • I-Trigue L3800 remote question, seek and rewind not working?

What do I need to make the Play, pause, forward and backwards buttons to work? Also, how do I get the FM radio option to work? These are great speakers too btw, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good deal on a 2.1 system, I just wish it was at least a 5.1 system but ooh well.
    -Thanks

    Eric,
Those are meant for use with a compatible MP3 player like the Zen Micro, Zen Sleek, etc... Which particular player do you have?

    Hi,
I just bought a used ZenSleek photo 20G for my dad (67 year old guy who wants to listed to audiobooks), but I cannot get the device to connect to my Vista-run 32bit HP laptop.
Here's the strange thing: I have a ZenSleek Photo of my own (at least 2 years old) that works perfectly. I plug it into my laptop with the same cable, in the same USB port, and the computer automatically opens the organizer for me to put stuff on the player.
Both players show a Firmware of .0.0.
I've tried hooking up the *new* player to my husband's desk top (also Vista) and it doesn't recognize the player either. I've downloaded all the new Vista 32bit drivers again. I have WindowsMedia Player . I've also reformatted the player and rebooted it. The player is charging when hooked up to the USB, so something seems to be connecting, right?
I've been reading about Vista/Creative incompatibility a lot, and am wondering if I need to find a computer with XP and Window's Media Player 0 to play around with firmware on the new player. But why would my Zen work great and this other player that is exactly the same model not?
Have I just bought a piece of junk? or is there something I need to do?
    Any suggestions are welcome.
What does Device Manager report on the device? I would not mess with the firmware just yet. Did you have the Creative software on the computer before or did you install it trying to get recognized? It should be recognized on Vista without any other software installed. Does the player turn on when you connect it or does the battery icon just flash for charging?

  • Creative Labs I-TRIGUE L3800

Hi,I was trying to search for this product document but couldn't find it. I need to know does the power adapter accepts duel voltages 20 or 220?above voltage? Thanks appreciate any help,Chris

    chrischin,
The power adaptor bundled with the speaker are meant only for use in the specific region it's being sold since it isn't meant for portability in the first place unlike MP3 player. For example, if it's purchase in Singapore, it comes with a 230V adaptor.

  • Which Creative Speakers to buy Next GigaWorks T20-T40, or I-Trigue 3330, 4000 or L3800

Hi just wondering if anyone could make a recommendation on getting some new 2.1 or 2.0 speakers.. After my old Creative 4.1 have died I have been looking at the following models and my main use will be for Music and movies in my room. So they don?t have to be that loud..
    Gigaworks T20 & T40
    I-Trigue L3800
    I-Trigue 3330 or 4000
I heard the T20 and they sound good for a system with no Bass but seam a bit blocky. Next the I-Trigue 3330 also sounded good as long as you don?t crank the volume up too much. As for the I-Trigue L3800 I have read they are a 3 way speakers system and was wondering what people thought of them. Would I get a better sound out of them.
    Thanks

  • Zen Sleek Photo and I-trigue L3

Does anyone have any experience with using the I-trigue L3800 speaker sytstem with their Zen MP3 player. According to what I've read, the wireless remote will control the player. Anyone out there willing to share their experience? Thanks.

this probably won't help much, but i'm trying now to get this working.
i bought a /8" to /8" stereo cable from Radioshack and so far, no remote control of the Zen (i have a vision:m) is happening. also, no audio from the remote receiver/volume box's AUX IN and only from the subwoofer's AUX IN...which is weird.
i'm guessing i need the custom AUX cable that came with the L3800's but i don't even remember seeing one back when i had the box.
but hey, if i get it working, i'll let you know!

  • I am having a small problem ( Or so it seems. )

I have bought a 2.1 I-Trigue L3800 system as well as a I-Trigue 3400 system. On the websites, it says that the L3800 is far better then the 3400. However, it sounds as if the subwoofer on the 3400 was MUCH more powerful then the L3800 ( On bass level 5, it was WAY more loud then the L3800's 5 ). Is my system faulty? Or is it perfectly normal?

I did a fair test, and the 3400 still had more powerful bass. It is due to the possible reason that the L3800 only shows its capabilities at higher volume? Or is it due to the lateral transducer, which makes it surround-like?

  • Need informations about speaker systems

Give me best models in 2.1 speaker systems and 5.1 speaker systems

  • Apartment Bookshelf Stereo Solution with Creative mp3 Pla

I'm looking for a recommendation for an at-home speaker setup for the Creative mp3 players.
We li've in a small apartment with a small living room, so we do not need that much power. We just want to have a convenient way to play our mp3s and listen to the radio.
The ideal setup would be a small unit of speakers (or separate speakers) with a drop-in dock for the mp3 player. A remote could be used to adjust volume, go to the next track, or turn power on and off. FM radio reception would also be nice. It MUST provide power to the mp3 player so the mp3 player is not running on batteries. I've seen all kinds of products that do this with iPods, but we already have (and enjoy) our Creative products.
Of course I can just connect one of our mp3 players to a bookshelf stereo. This is not a terrible solution as long as I have the A/C power cord close by. No remote and no easy dock, but it works... I already do this in our bedroom using the little bookshelf stereo we have.
The big downside to this is that I have read in the manual for some Creative mp3 players that you shouldn't leave them plugged in an charging all the time. That's a bit of a problem if we want to leave it connected to the stereo most of the time, and don't want to worry about having to recharge it.
We have older mp3 players like the Jukebox 3 and the Zen Xtra. I've seen the portable docking device for the Zen Micro, but no way do we want an mp3 player with such a tiny hard dri've. We need at least 20GB.
How about connecting a Zen Vision M, or an older Zen/Jukebox to something like the I-Trigue L3800, or to one of those iPod devices like the Klipsch iGroove? The I-Trigue with the Creative Wireless Remote I200 is one option, but is it safe to leave the mp3 player plugged into AC power all the time?
I've also considered a WiFi stereo component that can pull songs off the computer, but with that the computer always has to stay on. When we have a house maybe I'll build a media computer/server that stays running all the time, but for now we just want a very basic setup for our apartment.
I wouldn't mind upgrading my mp3 player, so I'm pretty close to just purchasing a 30GB iPod and one of the many drop-in solutions for playing your iPod tunes in the living room. Too bad Creative doesn't offer such an accessory for the large-capacity Zen mp3 players.
    Sean

Hmmm... I am now finding some intriguing accessories... like the Cambridge Pladock that can play and charge Zen players. A little pricey for what probably isn't the best-sound, but all those iPod solutions from Klipsch and Bose are pricey as well.
Looks like the Zen Vision M docking station might be a good solution. Does anyone have one of these that they just leave connected to the stereo and/or tv and AC power? How do you like it's I guess this might be more versatile than the Playdock.
Not quite as slick as the many iPod solutions out there, but I like the Creative mp3 players we already have, and the Vision M looks like an awfully nice updgrade from my Jukebox 3 (which has been a little buggy since a recent drop to the pavement). In addition to using it to listen to our mp3s over external speakers, it would be nice to use it for watching video on the tv as well.Message Edited by sean000 on 08-2-2006 02:55 PMMessage Edited by sean000 on 08-2-2006 03:3 PM

  • Connecting speakers

    Hello people,
I have in mind to purchase the Creative I-Trigue L3800 speakers, but
I wonder how i have to connect them to my MP3-player.
I haven't used this option (connecting speaker to a mp3-player) yet and
I would like to know how this works.
I got a Zen Micro 5Gb, so i can use the remote controller.
Hum, many I's at the start of the phrases. Sorry for this.

    Brammieee,
If you have a Zen Micro player, just connect the player via the headphone to the wired remote control box AUX IN and you're set to go.
