I try and install firefox 7 and it wants to reboot to finish uninstalling a previous version but rebooting and restarting doesn't help

I am using windows xp and firefox will not install.
I get an message that a restart is needed to complete the install of a previous version of firefox. Firefox is not currently installed but the install thinks it is. I have removed references to firefox from the registry and still have the problem, I checked with windows installer cleanup and it isn't there either

If files already have been downloaded then remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder. 
You can also delete active-update.xml and possibly updates.xml (stores the update history).

It has repeatedly told me to restart my computer to uninstall a previous version, Ido that and then it tells me to do it againHow do I break this circle?. .

I unstalled my previon versiion of firefox as it kept locking up, this included restarting my computer as the final step of uninstalling firefox. Now when I try to install firefox the installation program is interrupteded by an order to re start my computer to complete the prior uninstall. I restart my computer but then get the same order when i continue to try install firefox again. If I choose to not restart the install program disappears from my screen.

Even though I updated to Firefox 3.6 it seems I`m still using a previous version as youtube and hotmail keep on telling me that my browser is outdated and features like Zotero don`t work,what should I do?

Check the general.useragent prefs on the about:config page. 
You can open the about:config page via the location bar, just like you open a website. 
Filter: general.useragent 
If any general.useragent prefs are bold (user set) then right-click that pref and choose Reset.

First check that you still have data in your sync account.
Firefox button > Options > Sync > Manage Account
It should tell you how much data is stored in the account. Is there any?
If there is still data in the sync account then you can follow the instructions in this article [[What is Firefox Sync?]]. Refer to the 'How much of my data is synced?' section. Change the option to 'Replace all data on this computer with my Sync data'.
I hope that works for you.
If there is no data in your sync account you will be able to get it back by syncing from another computer. Just make sure that the settings on that computer are not replaced by the blank account again. You can use the 'Replace all other devices with this computer's data' option to prevent this.
Please note that Firefox Sync is designed only to sync details between devices not as an online backup tool. If you are formatting a partition it is generally best to backup your profile folder along with any other data. See [[Managing profiles]] for more detail.

Even if you are logged on with an Administrator account then you should still not run Firefox with Administrator permissions. 
I would assume that is already installed, but if this is happening when you try to install Firefox then you need to right-click the Firefox installer and choose Run as Administrator to make sure to get the proper permissions to install the Firefox program and create the required registry keys. 
Then you need to confirm that you want to install the program. 
If Windows blocks the file because it is downloaded from internet then open the Properties via the right-click context menu and check the Security tab.

According to a random website... the HTC Wildfire S uses a Qualcomm MSM7225 processor. This processor unfortunately does not support the full ARM version 7 instruction set, so Firefox cannot run on it.

When you click the download link on [http://getfirefox.com GetFirefox.com], you should be asked if you wish to Run or Save the file. Slightly off-topic, your Internet Explorer seems to be quite a bit out of date (IE 6, where current version is IE 8), so I would strongly recommend that you try to run Windows Update to get your system updated. Everytime I try to open Firefox, it crashed without opening. I've followed all steps in the FAQ and under the Firefox help section and NOTHING WORKS.

For the past 3-4 hours, I have been trying to se Firefox to open. It refuses to open and crashes each time. I've sent Crash Reports each time.
This all started when I updated and downloaded the lasted version.
I've scanned my computer for viruses, I've restarted my computer, I've uninstalled and installed firefox multiple times.
NOTHING IS WORKING.
It's becoming very frustrating. I have many impostant bookmarks and files saved on firefox and I am unable to access them. This is no longer just a small problem. As I already stated for the past 3-4 hours I've been trying and get nothing but Crash Reports. THREE - FOUR HOURS OF TROUBLESHOOTING JUST TO ACCESS THE INTERNET!!!!
