I try and try and try to update my itunes

I keep trying to update my iTunes. I currently have 7.0.2. I have been trying to update to 7.4, but everytime I go an do this, I automatically get thank you for updating and then nothing happens.
Please help.

Have you tired downloading the the update yourself from:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Save it to your desktop and run it from there.
If you have a problem with the dowloading side, you could try getting it from filehippo, although it is best to get it from Apple if you can.

If Software Update is offering the update then it would be compatible with your model. Unfortunately, you haven't provided us with any information on your hardware that would enable us to determine if it really is too old.
If you really wish to disable the update alert then the next time Software Update opens, select the update in the list then select "Ignore update" from SU's Update menu.

Switched from Podpress to Powerpress and now feed is not updating in iTunes - Please help

Please help...at my wit's end!
A few days ago I switched from using Podpress to Powerpress for my podcast. I followed all instructions and my feed appears to be valid. However, my podcast is not updating in iTunes at all and when I tried to resubscribe, I got an error message that said that there are no playable episodes.
Please, please...someone help. I really don't know what else to do and trying to get support from Apple or Blubrry has been fruitless.

Well, I was unable to locate the old feed (I don't even know if it exists in the conventional way, since it was set up by Podpress), and attempted to remove my podcast completely from iTunes in order to start fresh. Unfortunately, it appears as though iTunes no longer does this and instead directs you to add a <block> tag to your feed....and around we go.
So I've pleaded via Express Lane to please, please have someone change my feed to the new http://www.surrealla.com/feed/podcast/ ...that old feed should have never been set up that way in the first place. Argh.
Question: Can I resubmit my podcast to iTunes without deleting the old one? I'd hate to do that...seems tacky...but I have no idea what else to do if the pleading doesn't work.

Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall.
- Next try the manual install method of:

Place the iPod in recovery mode after the firmware download is complete and then restore using the instructions in the article. Sometimes recovery mode timeouts and returns to disabled before the firmware download is complete.
- Then try on another computer

Apple TV2 can see my laptop but it can't access the files in on my laptop. Home sharing is turned on. I'm using Windows7 64bit. ATV2 can access the files on my other laptop and PC. I've updated my iTunes and ATV2. Any suggestions?

I assume you taken the step of restarting the laptop.
Have you checked your security software is allowing access for iTunes, which security software are you using.

Just updated to iTunes 10.2.1 and now can't add any new songs.

My MACbook is running 10.5.8 and just last week I updated to iTunes 10.2.1 but now I can't add any new songs at all. I go through the motions but when I check the "recently added" checklist, it's blank. The song is never added to my iTunes library. Is there a fix for this?

RESOLVED.
I tried updating iTunes to 10.2.2 thinking this might somehow help me but same situation. Upon further investigation, the set of MP3s I was trying to add didn't have the typical MP3 logo on them. When I tried to delete them from my system, it said "in use by application". I forced a delete. I copied the MP3s again to my MACbook and this time was successful in adding them. Looks like it was a bad set of MP3s and not iTunes.

I updated my phone to the latest software and when I went to check if it had finished updating it asked me to connect to iTunes. I updated iTunes to the newest software too and then connected my phone. i got corrupted file and it could not do update via iTunes for IOS 7.0.4. I did update directly from my iphone. It got through perfectly; however, ONLY apps that were on the first page could be seen. The rest of the apps was gone. Also, everything such as icon is magnified so big like 1/4 of the iphone 5s screen. omg a scary moment came !
I could not do anything even I tried to shut down by power button. so I had to hold the home button and power button toghether to force it shut down. It did shut down and restore to it normal condition as before. Good luck to all with new IOS 7.0.4 update.

Itunes and quicktime icons gone after update

my friend and i both just recently updated our itunes to the latest and greatest version.
now niether of us have icons for either prog.
the are like a blank icon, just not the correct icon.
sometimes when i click on the programs the icon appears but then goes away, and this is happening to my friend as well.

I just updated my RAM and I keep getting a crash report. I have a 21.5 Inch mid 2010 imac. I also am experiencing slow load times and when I try to open Final Cut it says that quartz extreme is not compatible and that I have no VRAM even though I do.

There have been a few reports on here where Corsair RAM seems to have caused users a lot of grief with crashes.
The recommendation on here, mostly, is to only buy RAM from macsales.com or crucial.com as they guarantee their modules will work and offer a no quibble lifetime guarantee.
I'd put the original RAM back in, return the Corsair chips for a refund and re-order from one of those two companies.

Thank you for your help are you aware of any apps that will work the iso 4.2.1 system that will let you watch movies on the phone. Also I tried to down load something else the other day and got message that Safari wont let you open this is ther any to see if i have the latest safari on my phone?

Updated the iTunes yesterday and now when I try to dock ipod, the com crash

I updated the iTunes last night and now when i go to dock the new 160gb ipod...the computer says that it has detected new hardware and then crashes. I have no idea what is going on but my old 30gb ipod works just fine when I try to dock it.
