I try to add an image to my apple mail signature

I drag the jpeg image into the signature box from the finder but the file is inserted not the image. Can any one help please?

Does someone know how to add popular badges (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) to Apple Mail signatures. Just badge icon with a hyperlink to my profile.

Actually I just figured it out. Within your public profile on LinkedIn is an area for LinkedIn badges on right side. Click there and it will display several types of badges. Right click on the badge you want to use and do a "save as" to desktop.
Now go into Mail preferences, signatures. Copy and paste the icon you've saved to your desktop wherever you would like the badge to display within your signature. Then go to Edit on top menu and select "add link". This will open a box where you need to fill in your LinkedIn address that displays right below your profile photo. Save this.
This will turn the badge into a hyperlink that will connect to your LinkedIn Profile. To test it, create a new email using this signature and do a test send. When you receive the test email click on the badge to confirm that it takes you to your LinkedIn Profile.

I have tried to add .jpg and .gif without success.

We typically see this when an organizations IT department is blocking the upload of images. Are you working on this at work? If so, can you try adding the image outside your companies network?

"Movie Magic" with Stills and Dissolve
When you 'prep' your stills in any 'picture app', you can do a lot of marvel by simply applying dissolves.
In your case, I would create a white document (in Pixelmator, Keynote, Photshop, online at pixlr.com, whatever ...) and another with your logo (and further more ones with additional logos). Drag the jpgs into your iMovie Project and apply dissolves - tadahh! - logos appear on white.

When I try to add an image to an album.....

I have an issue when I try to add an image to one or some songs.
I select one or many songs then I select the information option, I see the message that advertise that you are going to change the information to many songs. Then I select the image and it appears y the box.
But then when I enter again to see the image for those songs it doesnt appears also if I connect the ipod it doesnt appears.
I used to do it as I said here and it used to work very well.
I dont dnow what is happenning

Try to clear the Windows Media Player database:
1.     Exit Windows Media Player.
2.     Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
3.     Select all the files in the folder, and then click
Delete on the File menu.
Note: You do not have to delete the folders that are in this folder.
4.     Restart Windows Media Player.
If this does not resolve the problem, clear the
Windows Media Player database cache files:
1.     Exit Windows Media Player.
2.     Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft
in the Start Search box and then press ENTER.
3.     Select the Media Player folder, and then click
Delete on the File menu.

How to add a photo to Apple Mail signature...? (he asks laughably)

Since the sender's Address Book photo is not included with emails sent
(even 'though Apple Mail makes it look like they are),
how can you add a personal photo to a Mail signature?
OR, is there another means of including a personal photo with every email sent?

As a matter of fact I have never seen it mentioned before. Perhaps only a few people need such an ego-trip every time they send an email.
The normal way is to add a photo within the text or as an attachment. The Signature only handles thumbnails.

Keynote keeps crashing when I try to add an image!

I'm new to Keynote and trying to add an image, but every time I click "media" and then try to search for a photo in my downloads folder, Keynote crashes. I'm running Mavericks on OSX 10.9.3. What can I do to fix this?!

Can't add a GoogleApps account in Apple Mail

Apple Mail seems to not working properly:
I have a Google Apps email ( the address is created with a domain of my property ) and if a try to add the account using the standard "gmail" option, the software don't do nothing: it resets the form's input and give no feedback. What does it mean?
I tried to ad the gApps account in a manual mode, selecting the "other address" option, but it's not working very good, I think it lost some emails.
I can't understand why I can't add the GoogleApps address in the properly way, I have already do it on others macs.

Solution: Go to the User Library and search for the Containers, Apple's newest annoying "feature". Here you find the true Mail folder. Delete everything (unless you have any POP-Accounts, then this solution won't apply). Also go to the Mail folder in User Lib Preferences and delete it entirely.
Then empty the User Caches folder to the Trash, don't empty it.
Open System Settings, delete your iCloud account. If it cannot be deleted due to an error concerning AppleMail, leave it as is.
Restart Mac.
Empty Trash.
Launch AppleMail. Create all accounts other than iCloud.
Create iCloud Account by NOT using the template in the dialog list - do it as "other", AppleMail will recognize it and do the rest.
Open System Settings, create your old iCloud acount again.
Restart Mac.
Done.

How do I import an image into apple mail signature?

I tried to copy and past my company logo into the signature for my work apple mail. I think it's a .tiff file.
It displayes correctly on my computer, but does not display when sent to others. Both are using Thunderbird.
Am I doing it wrong?

Can't add Gmail (POP) accounts to Apple Mail

I noticed a day before the 10.5.7 update that my existing gmail accounts in Mail suddenly stopped retrieving mail, giving "a server not responding" message. So I delete the accounts and try to add again. And again, pop server not responding. This was all on 10.5.6 mind you, and yes all my settings are correct under google settings.
10.5.7 was released and I seen in the notes that there was a problem with gmail and Apple Mail in the past (no problems for me but I only used POP). So, like always, I repair disk permissions, download the full combo update and install. After install, like always, I repair disk permissions again before doing anything else.

I have just experienced the same issue with a gmail account I setup in Mail when I bought my first Macbook 2 years ago. I've never had any problems with the gmail POP server before, until last night July 26th 09. Then suddenly a couple of minutes after successfully retrieving the emails as usual, it tried again and failed, asking for the password. I entered the password, but still came back saying POP server not responding.
I did some updates yesterday, but nothing more than the one for the pro apps. I'm completely up to date with all Leopard updates. Also I've double checked that all is working with my gmail account and settings; no change in settings or password were made.
Do I need to delete the account in Mail and recreate it from scratch, then, is that the only answer when this error seems to occur out of the blue?

Can't images be included in Mail signatures?

Whether I paste or drag and drop a tiny (4k) graphic image into my Mail signature file, it displays in my mail document, but never reaches the recipient, displaying instead the familiar broken image icon.
And, why - when I click on the question mark help icon in Mail - is there NOTHING in the help file? Excuse me for saying so, but that's not very helpful, is it?

While that article was interesting, the method explained in it didn't work for me. But neither did any other method... UNTIL I deleted all other signatures that were in Mail AND deleted the Mail signatures plist file, quit Mail and then relaunched it. Having done so, I was finally able to include the graphic in my signature file by just pasting it in there (I couldn't understand why Apple software wouldn't allow a simple paste or drag and drop).

Flash Cs4 crashes every time I try to add an image.

Every time I try paste an image from anywhere in the flash file (all scenes) it crashes. I also cannot export to .swf.
I tried saving the file with different names in different locations and did not work.
I also have no corrupt font (tried looking for them after I read it in a forum)
I really need a solution or find where the problem is to be able to continue what ive been working on.

I am trying to add my Zimbra email to apple mail in Lion. No matter what I try i am either not able to connect to the server. I have the correct username, password, server address, act. But still no luck..Anyone got any suggestions? Im stumped

Have a Zimbra server at work for my work emails which I also use to recieve my emails on my Iphone. I have been trying to set up for email for our Zimbra server at work on my new Mac Mini's mail. I have server address, User Name, Password, and have tried all the various ways to set it up. On my Iphone 4 it is set up in the mail config as an exchange. I tried to copy the settings my iphone uses and imput them into the mail setup. Every time I have tried POP, IMAP, Exchange I get a message that it cannot connect to the server and I should check my connection to the internet. I kinda had a similar problem setting it up on my Iphone initially. I am starting to think that Apple is lacking when it comes to its native mail app. It has no problem registering my google email but for some unknown reason it wont take my work email through exchange. Really Scratching my head, any ideas?? Thanks again for taking the time to read.

I have yet to find an email server that does not work with Mail.app. Your solution will be to configure its ports and send/receive protocol according to the email server's requirements.
Try the Zimbra support forums. I found this excerpt from a relevant post:

How do you add an image in the text area of a page/section?

This has been driving me nuts!
When I try to add an image to a page, it will ONLY go into the header. If I try to drag the image onto the page where the text is, it gets hidden behind a layer.
I've looked at the menu choices and I don't seem to be allowed to bring the image to the front. Nor does clicking in the text area and then trying to paste or insert the image - it still goes up in the header.
What is the secret to placing images along with your text on a page in the iBooks Author program?

Wow, Apple has really constrained the "box" that we have to fit our books into!
I was hoping to take some iPad screenshots and put them inline with the text. Since they are portrait iPad screenshots, the book that I'd like to create looks much better (and makes more sense) in portrait mode.
Apple has released this awesome tool, yet they seem to have restricted the author from using any creativity at all.
