I try to download free apps for click the updates that appear yet it says my account has been disabled? why
I am so frustrated I paid money to do downloads and i assumed they went through they appear on my dock- but i had not had time to work on my computer then i hit update casue my appl says it needs 40 updates it goes to do it then it hits back with a message saying your apple id has been disable??? So so confused just bought a new iphone and now this UGGGG any ideas?
just create a new apple id and password
may be the id that you are trying to use was used longtime back

my apple id account has been disabled for security reasons. I have re-set my password numerous times but the system still will NOT let me sign in. It continues to say your account has been disabled.
CALL
1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753) let them know and they will helo you enable the account. even if you change the password 50 times the account will stay disable till you call them

Hi,
I am about to pull my hair out. My itunes account has been disabled............or at least that's what it says everytime I want to update my apps....I can't do it. Then it sends me to a useless web address www.apples.com/itunes/storesupport/forassistance it never helps me. I've changed my password, etc. But I can't get my apps updated or the "Apple" in the sky to fix it...I don't know where to go for customer service....Any suggestions?

KathyI updated the software on my iphone4 tonight and ran into this same endless loop - "itunes terms & conditions have been changed" - go to itunes, aceept - back to the "T&C have been changed message" with no ability to do anything in the app store until I accepted the new terms.
While not a very direct solution, I was able to finally accept the terms in a way that seem to register with apple by making a purchase through iTunes on my computer. This forced me through updating my payment information and updating my iTunes software to the latest edition (which I had not yet taken the time to do). After doing both of these, iTunes took me through the terms & conditions on two separate pages, but ultimately allowed me to purchase my song. Once I completed these steps, it fixed the problem on my phone, so now I can update my apps and download new ones without running into that loop.

Hi Debbio , Contact your bank they may have disabled your credit/ debit card because of an unusual amount of small purchaches of APPS , ALBUMS etc....... Has your name been changed if so create a new Apple ID and RELAX. BANKS TREAT THIS AS FRAUD they may need you to confirm you purchased them APPS.?

Yesterday I downloaded a 'firefox optimized for yahoo' app. Then last night my yahoo email was hacked and all emails and contacts deleted. I believe the app I downloaded may have been false? or your yahoo optimization was hacked.
Where did you get that "app" from?
Or did you purposely install the Yahoo optimized version of Firefox '''5.0''', which is almost 2 years old? And '''not''' made by Mozilla!
The best place to get Firefox is from Mozilla directly, not from a 3rd party website which may have done "who knows what" as far as "tweaks".

If you are an Admin on the system and the owner of the iTunes account, then you should be able to download, unless there was a problem with the app, and Apple has blocked it.
If your not an Admin or iTunes account owner... you are probably seeing Parental Control restrictions working as designed. -

In iTunes, click "Store", sign in with your Apple I.D. After singing in, click "Store" again, select "View my Account", re-enter your password and your account info will be displayed.

Hi apple, I have currently got a visa $50 gift card. I put it on my iTunes account I have currently ran out of funds on the card. Now even when I try to download free apps or even update, it says it requires a new credit card. Is there a way around this
We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you have a credit card on your account then it needs to be valid. Have you tried removing it from yoru account ? On your iPad try tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Store on iOS 6+) and selecting 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should give you a payments link on your account's page.
