I try to download itunes to my iphone but it did not work so I restore setting but then it stop on saying no sim card on phone. i have taken the sim card out and put it back still no luck

Did you manage to get it working mine disappeared after I while I managed to download it but now my laptop/iTunes won't recognise my iPhone!

iTunes on my iPhone 5 is suddenly not working. Updated to IOS8.0 (not running 8.0.1) a few days go but was fine up until today. Now, when attempting to play a list of songs (artist, playlist or album) it rapidly shuffles through all of them without playing and then it displays a red square next to songs and won't play them at all. It seems to sync with my MBP but then new playlists I've created don't appear on the iPhone even though iTunes on the MBP has them appearing when I click the "on my iPhone tab. Tried the obvious quit and restart approach. No effect. Does anyone have any ideas?
It's not a hardware problem. The same exact thing just happened to me. My husband reset all settings, not erase all content and settings, after the phone started back up, everything worked like normal again. You just have to redo your settings.
General>Reset>Reset all settings

Took the battery out and put it back in, now I can't get the phone on!
We were told that it was good for the phone if the battery were removed and put back in so it can reboot. I did that and I can't get the phone back on! Sometimes (not everytime) I'll get the red light to come on, but still nothing. I tried inseerting another bb battery from a Curve and when the red light came on, I held the 'end call' button and then when it went off I held the green 'make call' button and teh screen displayed a battery with a line through it. That same battery works fine in the curve so I am just confused about what else I should be trying.
Can anyone help me out here???did you try to insert the pearl-battery and connect it to the wallcharger? maybe the battery is completly empty.
does the screen display something?

My sound usually works but just yesterday it totally just stopped. The sound is turned on full, the headphones are out, and I've tried turning it off then back on but it didn't help at all. It's an iPod touch 2nd generation, 8G.
Try the following to rule out a software probleM
- Reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPodIf you still have the problem you likely have a problem with the headphone jack in the iPod. They can be replaced. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store to identify/determine the cause. -
Whne I download iTune, it shows that it will be downloaded to Drive K which does not exist in my computer. It does not allow me to change to other Drives has enough capacity. Then I click change bottom, attempting to change drive, it terminates the download.
Do you have any solutions??Try "Invalid drive X:\" install errors. You should still be able to chose the drive for the download when downloading the installer with a web browser. The iTunes application is installed on the active system drive, usually drive C:.

IPhone 4 ear speaker not working after 2 restores and cleaning the headphone socket.

I know this problem is not uncommon, but here goes...
I have an iPhone 4 which was running iOS 5.1.1 a few days ago when the ear speaker stopped working. I cant hear the other person when I make or recieve a call, but nothing else is wrong with the phone. It is 18 months old.
I've searched the discussions and seen some of the suggestions. I tried cleaning out the headphone socket, with no luck. I then tried a full restore and update to iOS 6. This appeared to have worked. I tried 2 calls and I could hear the other person. I then left the phone alone for a couple of hours and when I tried it again, it had stopped working again.
I have since done another full restore but the speaker is still not working at all. The fact that it worked after the first restore suggests it's something simple or software related but I have no idea what else to try other than getting it repaired in a shop. The problem is I am in Japan where my network (Softbank) and an independent repair shop have both quoted me the equivalent of $176 / £110 to fix it.
Does anyone know anything else I can try before I give in and end up shelling out this ridiculous cost for something that is probably a 20 minute fix?

ThanksI have the exact same problem with my ear speaker after my IOS 6 upgrade. My speakers work, bluetooth works, the earphones work, but the ear speaker doesn’t work. I noticed this IMMEDIATELY after the upgrade was completed. I also have the following problems:
-Very slow call connect time. 30 - 45 seconds just to connect is typical. Signal strength is 5 bars (ATT)
-Problems attaching to known networks
-Very slow internet browsing with many timeouts on both the ATT 3G service and known Wi-Fi networks.
- My camera was missing after the IOS 6 upgrade. I restored that from Restrictions inside of the Settings App
- Music was so screwed up it was easier to just restore it
I went to the Apple store hoping to get some support. Between my wife, my son, and myself we have purchased 4 iPhones and an iPad over the last few years with plans to purchase another iPad in a month or so. So it’s not like I' not familiar with Apple Technology and their typical level of support.
The individual who waited on me was rude and condescending. He insisted that all of the problems were hardware related or ATT’s fault, or my fault. He further asserted that IOS 6 had NOTHING to do with any of the problems. I pointed out that it would be quite a coincidence for my hardware to break, for ATT to have network problems, and for me to suddenly forget how to use an iPhone at the same exact moment that IOS 6 had been installed. He maintained his position and offered to sell me another phone.
I don’t expect the folks in the store to reprogram the OS. Mistakes happen. I’m going to guess that Apple’s OS programmers are already working on a fix for many of the IOS 6 complaints that are easy to find on Google. Assigning blame to the customer and denying any responsibility is not a model for success or customer service. I’m sure Apple wouldn’t accept that kind of excuse from their component manufacturers and don’t think it is how they should deal with their customers. Further, Apple wants to own the device. They want to control the apps, the OS, battery, the delivery channel. I’m good with that so long as when there is a problem, they own that as well.
And BTW… I’m not including the maps in my list of issues with IOS 6 because I kind of like the new maps and am willing to give Apple the benefit of the doubt. I believe that their map service will get a lot better in a hurry. -
How can I transfer my ipod content from old pc (which cannot be connected to the internet anymore) to my new laptop (which is connected to the internet), Bearing in mind that:
1, I already have itunes on the laptop and have successfully added to my laptop itunes library the few songs PURCHASED from itunes.
2, My ipod (classic) and the itunes library on the pc also has a number of tunes that I have taken from my cd collection.
3, when I connect my ipod to the laptop, it wants to sync to the laptop by keeping the PURCHASED items, and deleting the stuff I have put on from my CD collection.
4, I cannot activate home sharing on the PC because it's not longer connected to the internet and cannot be re-connected to the internet.
What do I do?Type "move iTunes Library" into the search bar and follow the instructions found there.
There are multiple ways to move the iTunes library. Hint: None of them involve using an iOS device. -
My i phone will not turn on this am after I had made a phone call. I have tried to recharge it but no change. I need to know whether or not I can remove battery and if so how do I open the case ?

My Audi is set up to be iPod compatible. For the first two years of the cars' life, my ipod worked fine. When it went out, I had the dealer replace the connection wire and check the system. My car now works fine with iphones and others' ipods, but not mine. I tried rebooting it and powering down, but nothing has worked to get the car to recognize the ipod. Would really appreciate anyone's thoughts on the matter. Many thanks.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar
Try connecting to another computer to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem. -

So I really would like to be able to use the itunes radio funciton. I tried re-installing itunes two times in hopes that it would somehow lead to me being able to use the itunes radio function. Since I am posting this on the community discussion, it is safe for you to assume that I was unable to get the function to appear on my itunes. If you could help me figure out this conundrum, I would be very happy with you.
Where are you? iTunes Radio is only enabled in the US so far.
