I try to install Creative Cloud, but it just cancels and nothing happens

When I open Muse, I get a message that a new update is available. When I hit install it just closes and nothing happens. Then I got a message I needed Adobe Creative Cloud App to resolve the issue. I downloaded a copy of Creative Cloud desktop but it says that my Muse is up to date. It was last updated in May but you have a new update today and it will not update. I thought maybe I am not suppose to have the Creative Cloud update because all I have is the individual app Muse and the photography program. So I uninstalled the CC desktop. Then when I open Muse it says I need the CC desktop to help with the update. So I get stopped either way. Now I also had a Pre-Release Muse on my computer and I don't know if that complicated things. Please advise.
All future installs/updates of Muse (and most other Adobe apps) are through the Creative Cloud desktop app. Thus you do need to have it installed.
Are you on Windows or Mac? What OS version? -
Have installed creative cloud, but while the apps read "up to date," they are not even installed and cannot be opened. Have uninstalled and reinstalled Creative Cloud/Adobe. Horribly frustrating. This is my second computer for installing creative cloud. Does that make a difference?

I installed creative cloud but cannot install apps, i.e., Acrobat ProXl says files are corrupt. Each app says the same thing.

if yes, what are you clicking to see that corrupt file message? -
whenever i try to install creative cloud a prompt appears saying " adobe quit unexpectedly, its missing or damaged download a new one.. when i do it just says the same thing! how do i fix this
Jprice000 what operating system are you using? Has the Creative Cloud Desktop application worked previously?

I have instaled creative clouds, but when i open, my creative cloud shows empty window. I have reinstaled, and does not help.
follow solution 2 here, CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed

I have an email that won't disappear from my screen.
I push cancel and nothing happens.
I can see my accounts "behind" the email but I can't access them.
I have turned machine off and on again.
What else?Go back to your homescreen, then completely close down your mail app by double clicking the home button to open the multi-tasking bar. Hold your finger on the mail app icon and then click the red circle that appears on the left of the icon.
Once you have done that, reopen the mail app and you should be sorted. -

Update installed Creative Cloud, but not a subscriber
I own a license for Photoshop CS6 and I am not a subscriber to the creative cloud, but moments ago an update installed the CC app on my computer and now I cant seem to find the Adobe Application Manager. If I dont have Photoshop CC why was the CC app installed? is it okay to uninstall?
Thanks.The Adobe Application Manager CS6 has been replaced by a similar application called Adobe Creative Cloud. It handles all the updates for my CS6.
