I try to open Acrobat I get a message that I need to register the product. I click on register and after about a minute, I'm told that I don't have an internet connection. My internet connection is working fine. In fact I registered Acrobat Pro XI using my account, but the program itself will not recognize it or allow me to use the software. What do I do?
If you already registered, then there is no point to trying to do so again. Simply dismiss the dialog.

I purchased adobe acrobat but every time I try to open it I get a message saying trial has expired.
Acrobate downloaded successfully. no problem there. but it won't open. only gives me the error message that trial has expired and do I want to buy it. i already bought it so... i'm stuck. I have tried shutting everything down and starting again (twice) still the same error. tried re-downloading. no help. any ideas? Is it giving you any option to sign in or license this software. If yes click on sign in/License this software to proceed further and activate it. If it is perpetual license activate by entering your serial key and signing in and if it is a subscription then just sign in with your Adobe it an dit will get activated.

I have already un- and re-installed it, but i get the same message as before. How do i fix this? I don't want to lose my music and would at least want to save that.

I had a new hard drive fitted to my imac and restored it from my time machine back up on an external hard drive when I try to open itunes I get this message "the itunes library extras.itdb file is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have write permission for this file"
To solve this issue all I did was check to ensure that the file permissions were set as described by the earlier posts, followed by simply deleting the iTunes Library Genius.itdb file. Once the file was deleted I was able to open iTunes without difficulty. Note that I am running Windows 8. Hope this helps!

Discontinued my creative cloud membership, uninstalled Acrobat XI, and installed a brand new, purchased version Acrobat XI, but when I try to open it, I get a message saying I must renew creative cloud. This is a free standing program, and it IS installed. What do I do?
You may need to uninstall the Cloud (not just stop using it) and then run the Cleaner to remove all vestiges... and then reinstall Acrobat

I installed itunes and quick time but when I try to open itunes I get a message that reads "quicktime failed to initialize (error -2096). I have removed both itunes and quicktime from my computer and re-installed them and I still get the same message. What do I do to get itunes to work?
That one is often a compatibility mode problem. Try the following document, only be sure that none of the boxes in the compatibility mode tab are checked (not just the compatibility mode box itself):

Since I downloaded Apple's latest operating system, whenever I try to open Illustrator I get a message that I need to install legacy Java SE6 runtime and to click "more info" to do this. When I click "more info" I get a blank window. What should I do
Hi,
I had the same problem after upgrading to Yosemite. Illustrator CS6 wouldn't open. I got a message saying I should 'install legacy Java SE6 runtime'.
The link didn't work - it lead to a blank page.
So I downloaded Java8 (latest version) from Oracle but didn't install it. Something told me this was not the right way to go (the problem was with Java SE6, not 8). I then called Apple (in the Netherlands, were I live) for help. I got none. The best they could do was blaming Adobe for the problem or me, for not having the latest Adobe CC app. Rubbish.
And then, magic. I tried to open Illustrator again, got the pop up message but this time the link worked. It took me to an official Apple page, with a link to download Java for OS X 2014-001. The problem is now solved.
If curious, this is the explanation Apple gives for the problem:
'Java for OS X 2014-001 includes installation improvements, and supersedes all previous versions of Java for OS X. This package installs the same version of Java 6 included in Java for OS X 2013-005. On systems that have not already installed Java for OS X 2012-006 or later, this update disables the Java SE 6 applet plug-in. To use applets on a web page, click on the region labeled 'missing plug-in' to download the latest version of the Java applet plug-in from Oracle.'

I just want to download Firefox 3.6 again
I downloaded Firefox 4 onto my PowerPC G4, 1.67GHz running Mac OSX 10.5.6. When I try to open it I get error message You cannot open the application “Firefox” because it is not supported on this architecture.Use Tony's suggestion. I am running it right now and it is awesome. I love Mozilla but they basically screwed all of those older Macs over. Come on Mozilla. These Macs still work, and there are plenty of people with them out there.
