I tune freeze when my classic get to 1.12 g

just came back from apple and they say it meet spec , no problem found
still on warranty ,80 gig , errors code 50 , 53. 69 ,
my labtop with vista tell me there is a problem with the disk , fix it , but same problem , my computor run xp, i have tried on many usb ports with 3 different wires , on my 2 computors , reset it many times , tried to format it but it never worked , when i synchronise it slow slow down at 1.10 gig and at 1.12 gig i-tunes freeze every times, sometimes they tell me they can not sync it and give me an error code ,some times i have to restart i-tune, there is only 1 song on i-pod when i am lucky . tried older version of i-tune , my nano and my shuffle sync every times with both computor ,i tried everything i know and spend a lot of time tring to fix it with every solution i read here
i was in love with my i-pods but now ,i am close to give up and look for another company who sell an mp3 player that you dont need an engineering diplome to be able to make it work
sorry if my english is not perfect ,
i am thinking of putting on youtube a video of an i-pod taken aparts with a hammer and a big screwdriver to show everybody how it work
i just dont understand how a company like apple put a forum like this one on there web site , where everybody say they have problem with their product and or software ,at one point i was thinking to buy an apple computor to fix my problem but now after a lot of time waisted here ( more important for me than the money i paid for this p o s )

As far as problems mentioned in this forum - this is a support forum where people with questions/problems go. It is not someplace people come to expound on the virtues of the iPod (no news is good news, right?). There are millions of people who have never posted here. Visit any support forum and this is what you will find. I've been on forums that have hundreds of posts per day from much smaller populations of users.

OK, like everyone else I have read through countless threads looking for a solution to my problem. My problem being that I can no longer burn play lists containing both purchased and imported music. I can burn just purchased or just imported, but not together. So this leaves me to believe that this is an iTunes issue. (It all started back when 4.9 was out.) Since then I have removed it, repaired, upgraded it, and everything else I could think of under the sun. I was hoping when iTunes 6 came out it would solve the problem, but it didn't. I even thought to myself hey maybe it is my computer so I took the songs I wanted to burn and put them on multiple machines (3 others) and try to burn the with iTunes. No luck same thing happened, thought hey maybe it is the songs. Nope they couldn't do it with their own songs either. So like I said this has to be an iTunes software issue. Now I am sure their are more people out their with the same problem and they have called apple and sent their diagnostics in, but no one has come up with any answers. I have searched and searched, but their are no answers out their. You would have figured by now someone would be like hey I have found a solution. Oh well all I am asking in this semi-rant is for an answer to the problem why iTunes freezes when trying to burn playlists containing purchased and imported music? Thanks for your time.

Itunes freezing when Ipod Classic plugged in

When I plug in my ipod classic 80 gb,itunes freezes (cannot click or play anything) and an error message shows up.
"There is a problem with this drive. Scan the dvice now to fix". Tried that and it doesn't work. It also says my ipod is not responding.
The newest version of itunes is installed and our computer is windows 8.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have looked at lots of other discussions but nothing has helped my problem.

I have the same problem: if I load iTunes for a second time and my iPod is plugged in the iTunes app and the system menus (top right corner of screen) freeze up.
Unplugging and plugging in the iPod seems un-freeze everything for me.

TS2305 My Computer freezes when ipod classic is connected

I can look at my ipod classic and navigate through the menu, but when I connect it to any computer, it freezes that computer and I have to disconnect it and restart the computer. Any suggestions?.

Since downloading version 7.7 iTunes freezes every time I plug in my classic iPod. The program does not recognize the device and, if I am playing a song, it finishes he song and then stops completely. I'm pretty sure the problem is with iTunes. Had no problem with same mac & iPod for 18 mos. I don't have access to another mac, but the two window machines I've connected to with the same USB line recognize the iPod. Any ideas? Merci.

I have this same problem with new version 7.7. We have like 30 gigs on the 80 gig ipod and I hear that it may take itunes up to 40 minutes to respond to this large of an ipod?!? Help ITUNES!!

Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues with the iTunes library on your PC. To begin, I see that you recently installed a new hard drive. Did you happen to copy over files from the previous hard drive? If not, I suspect that the iTunes library is no longer locally stored, and what you are seeing is your iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
Do the tracks have a download icon that looks like this?:
If so, you’ll want to download these purchases as they are not locally stored on your computer:

After doing so, go ahead and attempt to sync your iPod once more.

HELP!! iPod Classic won't show up in iTunes, and FREEZES when I try

Last night, I hooked my iPod Classic to my computer to sync it. It didn't show up in iTunes, and instead, it froze, quite suddenly. I had to wait until the battery ran down, then charge it up again(luckily, all my music and video were still present). Today, I tried once again to hook it up. This time, the "Connected/Eject before disconnecting" screen appeared, so I figured it was working(that didnn't happen last night, it just froze immediatly). Unfortunately, I was wrong. It still hasn't shown up in iTunes, and now, it's frozen again!

Seriously, why did my iPod Classic freeze when I tried to hook it up??? It happened twice. It seems to be working now, but still, I'm concerned.

Well if your iPod is not appearing under Devices in iTunes when you have it plugged into a high powered USB 2.0 port, then that would explain why this newly loaded CD has not synced to it yet.
Have you carefully worked through each and every single suggestion in this Apple support document?

Have you copied your content over from your old computer and onto the new on ? If not, and you still have your old computer, then there a number of methods described on this page which you can use to copy your library over : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527 . If you no longer have your old computer then have you got a backup of your content that you can copy onto the new computer and add into iTunes ?

My I pod Touch keeps telling me to connect to I tunes. When I do I get a box pop up that says I need to enter my pass code. But the I pod Touch doesnt give me that option. So right now I' stuck with the I pod Touch that I can't use because it won't let me

You will need to restore the device. You will also need to put the device in Recovery Mode.

IPod classic freezes when syncing with iTunes

This is a complicated story involving my two brothers, a traded ipod, and sadness - here goes...
Brother "A" had an iPod, which was traded to brother "B". Brother "A" was on windows, brother "B" was on a mac. The ipod would not sync with the mac, even after being reformatted and restored with latest software of both itunes and ipod. When syncing it gets to song 25 and stops. Every time, no matter the song.
Here is what I have tried:
• All software updated
• Ipod was reformatted and restored
• iTunes library was rebuilt - all unauthorized songs and duplicates removed (my brothers library was a mess)
After all this it still freezes when it is copying song 25. The ipod was working fine (so brother "A" claims) when syncing with the windows machine. Any suggestions?
